Went in for my birthday meal. Was fantastic. Superb service.

I called in Tuesday 15th of October too have my dinner,I had homemade steak pie with chips and peas,it was absolutely delicious and for dessert I had peanut butter stack, absolutely delicious as well. Highly recommended for food.

An absolutely great night out for a meal on our daughter's 18th food was amazing with great service and a nice relaxed atmosphere, I couldn't ask for more

Come in about 2 months ago the food is not up to won't it used to be smaller portions and higher prices which is a shame as been going into this restaurant for 15 years or more service from staff was good wanted £2.00 for a very small pot off grated cheese for a meal my family member was having as he did not like the cheese thay said he could have with the meal service was a bit slow but meals did come out so we could all eat together

Steak was over cooked and tough, husbands kleftiko had no flavour and was watery. Worse meal we have ever had here. No apology and no refund

We went there Friday for our 39th wedding anniversary meal the service was amazing Gonzales was the most welcoming person I have ever met in a restaurant the food was fantastic were shown the restaurant by our daughter on Saturday with my wife the restaurant was spotless certainly recommend it

Had two meals here last week, and both of them were very good. Service was first class staff very friendly and welcoming. I would definitely recommend giving it a try .

Came today for lunch with our overexcited toddler - service was impeccable and food delicious - we were served by Goncalo who was particularly patient with our boy - would come here again if back in the area. Proper cocktails too.

The food here is so good, not cheap but so worth it, portions are big, fresh, well made and so tasty. The staff and owner are so friendly and helpful that I can't rate this place high enough.

Visited here Saturday afternoon. Really warm, friendly and attentive staff. Food was really fresh and tasty with a great variety of choices. (We had brunch, chicken curry, fish and chips and crab claws). The crab claws - the portion was huge we had to take it home! Lovely relaxed clean restaurant. Nicest place we've had food in Great Yarmouth ever! Can't wait to come back!

Absolutely fabulous. I've travelled from Devon for this. We'll worth the journey. The steak was the best I've ever had. The fish looked amazing. The salt and pepper Squid, I could have eaten all night. If your in the area, you've just got to go there. The service was absolutely first class

The food was fresh,good quality and delicious. The service was friendly unobtrusive and professional and the wine was also great. We came for the first time but it definitely won’t be the last. It was a warm evening so I went for the chicken souvlaki with tzatziki, it was absolutely delicious. Hubby went all in for the mixed grill and said all the meat was quality and perfectly cooked. Excellent, as always! We had the Greek platter to share as a starter. The food was delicious, perfectly cooked & beautifully presented. Perfectly complimented by fabulous Greek white wine & we were sated. Polished off with one freshly made tiramisu & double espressos, heaven! We didn't need anything else. Thank you!

We had the lasagne it was lovely the staff were very friendly would recomend trying this restaurant.

Looks great on menu but very basic when meal arrived. Over priced. Brown Hp sauce was out of date, no apology, took sauce away then returned with same bottle and was told they wash them out do its fine. If the bottles were washed out the lable would have come of and also how do I know if its Hp Or a cheaper sauce ? If they can do this it makes you wounder what else is being done. Won't be returning.

Lovely little restaurant, easily accessible and very welcoming staff. The food portions are big and the food is lovely and fresh. Large variety of food choices. If you're stuck on places to go for food i definitely recommend this.

Went at lunchtime without booking. Got a table OK. They just opened at 11.00am. Was quiet to begin but got busier. Food is still excellent and some items were unavailable from the menu but still lots to choose. Staff are friendly and it was very pleasant.

Absolutely superb return visit after last year. The hostess couldn't do enough for us, every time we asked for anything it was greeted with a smile and actioned Immediately. The food was exceptional and we had a large variety of dishes between us so the chef would have been busy also. Would definitely recommend and will be returning again next year.

Very busy, but the service was impeccable. The food was delicious. There was 11 of us in total with drinks flowing and came in under £300. The staff are very welcoming and friendly. Lovely atmosphere too. Good tunes also. Well worth going . I had beef stifado with rice. The beef melted in my mouth.

Me and my friend have just eaten here. The 5oz rump steak. It was absolutely delicious. The service is outstanding. The staff are so polite and helpful. Prices are brilliant to. I highly recommend this place. Give it a try. You won't be disappointed. Our steak was cooked exactly as we had requested. And it was delicious.I can't praise the place enough. They go above and beyond.

Very expensive for the food they offer!!£17 for a salad and it wasn't even fresh 😕 as I can see the brown side on lettuce....First and last time going there!! I can't complain about the ladies who are working there but the food was overpriced!!

Good food. Nice staff. Pleasant surroundings especially the fairy lights. Only small gripe... Not sure they should be charging for sauces e.g garlic sauce £3.95. Should be a choice of 1 free with each meal. Not a charge

Highly recommended - fantastic and varied menu has something for everyone and the food is very tasty with generous portions. Service was excellent and nothing was too much trouble for Gonzalo, who brought me some extra gravy despite a generous serving already on my plate. With very pleasant, fresh decor and reasonable prices, it’s a win all around, and we’re going back again for the 2nd day in a row!

Visited Alexandra on a cold, wet and frankly ,miserable Monday evening in December. However the welcome could not have been warmer. The drinks were offered and served quickly whilst we browsed the more than adequate menu. There is an obvious Greek edge to the offerings with Kleftiko, Moussaka and stiffado all on offer. We agreed, to share a starter of whitebait, which came promptly to the table fresh and tasty, although a small quantity of brown bread and butter or similar would have completed the dish, we devoured the little critters with relish. For mains my wife plumped for the lamb chops with chips, vine tomatoes and mushroom. A hearty meal, with three well cooked and tasty chops. I went for the cod with a salad and new potatoes, again extremely well cooked, and one of the best dishes I've had in a restaurant for some time. We had a couple of drinks with our meal, but declined dessert even though the menu and the friendly waiter encouraged us on. The restaurant was understandably very quiet due to weather etc, but we enjoyed the time we spent there and would/will definitely return.

First time visiting last night.. wow the food is high quality and you can’t complain about the portion sizes. Great customer service, everything looked lovely, can’t wait to go back and try something else!

Visited this restaurant whilst on holiday last week. First time in area for nine years. Staff very helpful, no complaints. I chose the vegetarian option of the roast dinner and was surprised to find it was just vegetables. I’m sure last time it included a nut roast or something similar. I appreciate the business has changed hands since then. I feel this option could be greatly improved by including a nut roast, Quorn fillet or something similar. I hope you will accept this as constructive criticism.

Had a great Sunday lunch here, great food, attentive staff even though it was very busy! Enjoyed the Kleftico immensely, will definitely go again soon. One suggestion would be to offer some Greek wines on the wine list.

Had a great family meal here. Wonderful waiter, fabulous food, couldn’t fault it at all. They were also very accommodating to a member of the group who was a wheelchair user. We enjoyed it so much we are returning on Sunday.

Me and my family went there for a birthday meal on the 26th of August. Are main server Melissa was wonderful and able to help us out with everything that we had asked for and went above and beyond for us the other servers that where there were also polite and we'll mannered. The food was perfectly cooked and no long waiting times either if I could give more than five stars I and my family would and we will be recommending this place to all other friends and family.

We always come here when we’re in Great Yarmouth, food is always great (especially the burgers!). The staff are always very friendly and attentive- we wouldn’t go anywhere else!

I have been a customer of the Alex for years. I have always enjoyed the food, service and atmosphere. Since the recent revamp there seems to have been a shift. The atmosphere was uncomfortable, the service was poor and the food.... wow unbelievable. We had, 1 roast turkey and a beef pie. The vegetables on the roast were so hard you couldn't cut through them, and the meat looked like it came out of a tin. £12.95 for that too. The beef pie was just awful!! The meat was cheap and tough, and the pastry...well, did you know you can't make it puff in a microwave chef!! All this delight for £15. When we spoke with the "manager" she quoted 'oh you're one of them, wanting a refund I suppose?' She offered us a free drink and 20% off. Pfftt that food should have never ever left the kitchen. Very very sad as we have had some specials memories with family in this restaurant.

My partner and I had a lovely meal here, and we were served by a very nice waiter called Mitchell. Mitchell was very friendly and attentive to our needs and is a credit to the restaurant. The food was great quality, especially for the price paid. It was really busy the night we visited but the food still came out in good time. Unfortunately, it was really warm inside the restaurant due to the hot weather but we opted for sitting outside, which was lovely.

My Husband and I visited this evening for a quiet meal to celebrate our Anniversary and we are both so glad we chose here! From the moment we walked in we were so warmly greeted. We both had cocktails which were absolutely fantastic, and the deluxe vegetarian burger was one of the best I have ever had. We will definitely be back if we come to Yarmouth again, thank you so much :)

The restaurant is very comfy and staff superb. The food wasn't terrible but overpriced for the quality given. The fried fishes were all from frozen. I was disappointed as the restaurant is located near the coast.

We visited the Alexandra restaurant on sat 29th. I am so glad this place is still open after all these years, and it is like a place of sanctuary when you walk in from the litter strewn streets and down trodden supposed entertainment areas! You are greeted with a smile from a member of staff that is wearing a clean and tidy uniform. It’s all been updated so fresh and inviting, and the food is always first class and plentiful. I really hope the Alexandra continues with its success as the family so deserve it.

Haven't been for a while and we are loving the new look, the food is just as tasty and the service is superb.4 visits in 2 weeks says it all.

Very good restaurant was a bit dubious when walking in but was very surprised by the great service we received The food was good but came out a bit too quick for my liking was piping hot I think a few microwaves had been used lol but was very nice food we had the roast and the curry and the spagg boll all top marks
