Britannia fish bar in Stafford

Only ordered two meals. A small fish and portion of gravy. A pie special inc a portion of peas. Salt and vinegar on everything. Pie and chips cold NO salt and vinegar and NO peas. They must have wrapped my pie and chips while waiting for the fish to cook. 3 to 4 other food orders sitting in paper bags and boxes on the top. 3 drivers waiting to collect - more cold food.

Always rated this fish bar. Quality really poor now. Not sure if they have changed the oil for a less expensive option, or they aren't changing the used oil as regular. Price has increased, but the quality of the fish and chips is poor, quite literally no taste and dripping with oil. Give it a miss until they realise it's not all about profit it's customer satisfaction as well.

Always top quality fresh and hot food with friendly staff. Can't fault the place and cheers for another great meal.

Visited here again one lunchtime, my husband used to live round the corner, but we'd moved out of the area. Food is still excellent, large portions, hot and quick and friendly staff. Excellent social distancing. It was a pleasure to get hot fish and chips for a lunchtime treat. Will visit again when current lockdown allows. We'll done to all staff, they have a lot of happy customers.

Used to live around the corner from this chip shop but now live in South Staffordshire. Visited here for the first time for some time and still excellent food with reasonable prices and decent portions. It is a pity no decent chip shops like this where we live now.

Ordering ahead by telephone, my two portions of fish & chips were available promptly when collected at 2000hrs on a Saturday evening. As always, the battered fish was delicious, and the chips crisp and tasty. The staff are friendly and efficient, with well-arranged social distancing in the shop and for the queue outside. Highly recommended.

Beautiful fish & chips Good price friendly service. Their is parking outside. I know what we are having for our dinner this lunch time.
