Brisa cafe / restaurant in New Forest

First visit. Really enjoyed the food but service was poor. Staff are lovely and friendly. However tables were not being managed properly. We waited a really long time to have starter plates cleared as staff just walked past us and they forgot one of the dishes we had ordered. Only one plate of mains tapas arrived but we had no cutlery. And they still hadn’t fully cleared the starter plates. The lamb chops arrived stone cold so we sent it back and then when it was brought back hot we didn’t get the rest of our food for 15 mins. So only had one plate of food to eat with nothing else. Service is automatically added also. Shame.

Friendly service not backed up by the quality of the food. We were very hopeful for simple Spanish fare based on the menu. Unfortunately we were very disappointed with the quality of the dishes we were served. There was nothing necessarily “bad”, however nothing necessarily “good”. Bang average is the best way to describe the food. On a positive note, delicious wine.

Thanks to Armet and his team for a warm welcome, great atmosphere, Prosecco & very good food. Six ladies of a certain age thoroughly enjoyed a pre-Christmas lunch and definitely will visit again

I rarely write a poor review but this was a really disappointing experience typified by over priced small potions...even for tapas bars. Commonplace wines at seriously inflated prices. Food lacked flavour and gave rise to the thought that ingredients had been dropped in marinade just prior to serving....who knows? Service was poor and inattentive...we asked to see the menu as we were still hungry after our meal....it never arrived! Dishes arrived at our table for other diners; waiters were lounging on clients chairs browsing their phones. Far better places to eat nearby.....worth avoiding

A rare find and unexpected in Lymington town centre. A warm welcome, nice decor and good atmosphere. Menu great for tapas but a little overpriced for what you get. Tasty spicy prawns (£12.00 for 4) and as there were two of us we were disappointed that we got three mushrooms. Surely they could have thought that through. Squid ink risotto very good but a tad pricey. We will go back though as it’s unusual, tasty food and a nice place to spend some time in.

Very authentic Spanish tapas all freshly cooked with fresh ingredients. Super tasty particularly the gambas. Lovely atmosphere and very good service. Quality. We will go back and recommend to friends.

A bit disappointed with the experience. Although food was good quality the service felt indifferent and it felt expensive compared to having a proper meal. The usual overpriced wine and small plate restaurants where you leave after less than an hour still hungry and with a massive bill. Really wanted to like this place more as it seemed appealing from the outside. Ended up having a bowl of tomatoes and then some Olives brought at the end of meal after other tapas just when we didn't need them. Never asked if wanted another drink or anything else. Other places in Lymington were far more attentive.

Mmmm, authentic Spanish food! We went for a few drinks, which turned into cocktails (try the dark and stormy), which turned into tapas and it reminded me that when tapas is done well, it’s wonderful. Little delicious plates which included ham croquettes in an almond romanesco sauce, whole garlic and chilli prawns, the best saltcod with aoli I’ve had since being in Portugal and just a delicious heritage tomato salad dressed with balsamic. A few more cocktails later (try the captain), a delicious baked cheesecake and some churros and we staggered out, happy, a bit drunk and ready to revisit! A salsa infused gem on the Lymington High Street!

Hard to believe that this restaurant exists in sleepy Lymington. Went on a Saturday night - Great food, great atmosphere and great Latin music. Warm and welcoming host and a fun evening, highly recommend !

Three of us had the'two tapas for £13 express lunch'. Delicious food and really generous portions. All six tapas were equally good. Can't wait to go back and try the paealla that was freshly prepared and cooked whilst we were there, and more tapas!

Great find . We were seeking a late lunch and found a completely empty BRISA with a tempting menu. We went through the long restaurant emerging into a delightful rear garden area perfect for we four and our two dogs, We ate from the set lunch menu with a couple of extras from the main menu. We comprised one vegetarian, two pescatarians and one omnivore. We all thoroughly enjoyed our meals. Ham croquettes, baby squid, tortilla, arroz negra, aubergine, almond tart and baked cheesecake all stand out. We were transported back to southern Spain and Cuba on a superb sunny afternoon, returning to the delights of Lymington our appetites sated with delicious food and satisfied souls from the friendly, expert hosts.

Really lovely food. We went on a quiet Monday lunch , think we were the only people in there. It’s a fairly new business , the food was really Great , the service good and its dog friendly !!

Had dinner here. Thoroughly enjoyed the Tapas. Friendly service, hosts happy to spend time chatting to us and recommend sherries. Great food and company. Would recommend.

We ended up going at the last minute due to the Hidden Yard closing down and we have made a great decision it was a super dopper! Love the staff and the food .. keep it going will be back next year! The food was amazing and plenty of it and the atmosphere was great as well! keep it up !

Ignore any bad reviews, this restaurant is great. I have had the most amazing tapas in Barcelona, San Sebastian and Madrid, this place compares VERY well! Food and service top drawer, can't recommend enough and will be a regular for us permanently. Highlights, goats cheese and honey and jamon croquetas. Very good Spanish wines also. Can't believe anyone leaving a bad review, obviously some people just don't understand what tapas actually is...

We had a very disappointing lunch today - our first time trying this restaurant and we were excited for tapas. Sadly the chicken paella was served stone cold and when they offered to reheat it on the second try there was not a single piece of chicken. In the end had to give up on the paella. We chose a selection of veg options for the rest of the party - the courgette flower special was tasty but very small and the other choices were very lack lustre including some very tasteless fresh tomato topping for the sourdough. Overall we left very disappointed in what was meant to be a treat lunch for the family. The guy at front of house was very nice - super apologetic and brought us a free dessert - however the free dessert was really not good either. The rest of the restaurant was empty and maybe we should have spotted this as a sign. I don’t normally feel moved to write reviews but feel the need to on this occasion - I hope the restaurant might use it as a push to make some necessary improvements - we really wanted it to be good.

Great food, authentic Spanish, not really tapas size, more like small plates size. You need 2 "tapas "per person unless you are very hungry. Nice friendly owners and staff. Even a complimentary shot at end of meal. Will visit again if in the area.

Have been coming since they opened. All the staff are brilliant. The owners are incredibly friendly and they always make you feel so welcome, the key to a great restaurant. Oh and the food is excellent as well. Tonight they were heaving and everyone was having a great night. Best restaurant in Lymington.

We love tapas and we love Lymington, but this time round it didn’t work sadly. Anchovies for nibbles were okay but nothing you can’t get in Aldi. Pig shoulder was dry and chewy. Squid was overcooked and with little actual squid in each. Patatas bravas were big and cold. Burrata was good. Service was on autopilot. Disappointing, sadly. Oh and barking dogs.

Delicious food, excellent service from friendly staff and a lovely atmosphere! Would recommend for dinner or even just drinks and snacks. Great tapas selection!!

Lovely tapas, amazing drinks and great service! We went with our three kids and we all enjoyed it every much! The food was very authentic, shout out especially to the tortilla española! Would highly recommend this restaurant and if we are back in the area, we will definitely be back!!

First time visit with friends and all of us had a great experience. Food and service both memorable The menu has sufficient choice of meat,fish, vegetarian options. Along with starters and dessert. After chatting with the staff we ordered 8 different dishes across the menu. We were told that it wouldn’t all arrive together which was ideal as that’s not what eating tapas is about. After discussions / recommendations we selected a bottle of white and bottle of red wine. Both of which were lovely. Food started to arrive and not one dish disappointed us. Flavour, texture all fabulous. My favourite was the squid. I would thoroughly recommend visiting and wouldn’t hesitate to go back again. Great addition to Lymington eatery options.

Overpriced for what is served. Albeit servers were friendly, my wife’s cold drink arrived more than five minutes before mine, and her food way ahead of mine, which meant hers was tepid by the time mine came and she was adamant to wait before eating hers. Very rarely give bad reviews but had to this time, and frustrating given how many excellent reviews there were on Tripadvisor. Service charge of more than 10% of the food and drink collective value was automatic added. Had to use the toilet whilst there and I think it was urine all over the floor by the urinals and the tap at the wash basin was loose and about to come away from the basin. Overall seriously disappointed and will not be recommending this venue to our friends who live nearby.

Very satisfied. Excellent. Food was outstanding, service was immaculate, atmosphere was fantastic. Consistent in all things. I have travelled to many countries, have & had family members as chefs & within the hospitality sector & I can say that this restaurant I would highly recommend.well done guys👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽

Perfect late lazy lunch sharing really tasty plates and lovely wine. Recommend the huevos rotas ( fried egg chorizo and potatoes and churros. And aged manchego cheese. And the wine. And the service. All of it. Recommend it all!

I have visited this restaurant twice this week! Once with my partner and once with friends. On both occasions the food and drinks were delightful, the service truly personal and attentive, friendly and welcoming. I’m keen to recommend this gorgeous restaurant as a delightful addition to to our repertoire in Lymington

Three of us dined here on a Saturday night, having been recommended it. Upon ordering we asked for their sourdough bread whilst we waited - it never arrived. Our server suggested four dishes per person, which would have been ridiculous. We chose Croquetas de Setas, Huevos Rotos, Puntillitas, Croquets de Jamon, Albondigas. We understood that dishes arrrived randomly, but service was a bit haphazard. The food was ok but we won’t rush back …

Another visit to Brisa, this time for dinner, Ahmed and all the staff go out of their way to make your visit special. Food was excellent again, as was our breakfast on our last visit. The coffee was superb, best I've ever tasted.

Really good freshly made tapas, great wine list, friendly attentive service and good value for money. We will be back again very soon.

Cozy atmosphere and attentive waitstaff. First time for me at a tapas restaurant and very much enjoyed both the freshly made vegetarian and meat tapas. Spanish beer was very good too.

Delicious fresh tapas! Attentive and knowledgeable service. Wide range of dishes to make everyone happy. My favourite was the lamb chop! Definitely recommend sampling the sherry as well as the great wine list!
