Very friendly pub, made us and our 3 big dogs very welcome, awesome food, the Salt and Pepper Squid is the best I’ve ever had. Different from traditional pub food but was really delicious, but the best meal we had on our holiday

Only popped in for a cheeky pint, seemed a decent place, bar-keep was friendly and polite. It felt a little like a "locals" pub but we didn't feel uncomfortable

Hettie has done a fantastic job since taking over a few weeks ago. Food is delicious and there is a wonderful atmosphere. Looking forward to coming for the live entertainment.

A very friendly place. FOOD IS BACK! 😋 Under New Management. Hettie has taken over with a few changes now it's hers. Pool table and sky sports available. Still family and dog friendly. The food is amazing. I've also seen quite a few satisfied customers commenting about the food on their way out. Someone has put there's a wheelchair accessible toilet on the page. Unfortunately, there isn't. 2 steps to the toilets. The pub is wheelchair accessible and has wheelchair accessible seats.

Could be lovely. But there was a crowd of men who seemed to think everyone wanted to listen to them. Very drunk and completely ruined the atmosphere. Should have been ejected.

Lovely pub very welcoming. We stopped in here by chance on a trip from Kent and were welcomed graciously. They let us join their quiz and we had a great time.

Called in today while passing on route back to our holiday cottage in Conwy. What a pleasant surprise, the new food menu is fantastic, mac and cheese and nachos were spot on and quite possibly the best corn on the cob I've ever had! Make sure you check the place out if you're passing! If your a local make sure you support it! Cracking place!

Visited Bridge Inn last night. We both had a lovely meal. I had the beef short-ribbed tacos and Graham had the bang-bang fried chicken with noodles and slaw. The flavour and spicing was perfect. Great all around! Food was spectacular, and I can be fairly picky. Kids gobbled it up and wife loved it! Plates cleaned and waiter and atmosphere was perfect! Would come out of my way to come again!

Lovely local pub with a friendly atmosphere and very welcoming to non-locals like us. The landlady even remembered our drinks order from the day before - top class service! I wish the new owners every success.

We had a great evening here. Great food and great atmosphere. A few of us had the burgers and they were 10/10. A couple of us were really awkward and changed a few bits so the chef came out and ran through them with us so they were all correct. The chef really made this place with how good he was with the customers.

Got the bridge burger, genuinely one of the best burgers I’ve eaten nearly made me buss would highly recommend!

An impromptu stop here for Sunday lunch on the way home from Holyhead. Any pub that offers to get a bowl of water is dog friendly rather than dog tolerant, so that was a good start Very nice food, they didn’t have any mint sauce but were willing to pop over to Waitrose to get some for Mrs P ! Highly recommended, will certainly be back

Terrible pub with bad views. Could barely see the bridge even from the conservatory. Very overpriced £24.85 for two pints, two large cokes and 4 bar snacks. Toilets horrible with piss and dirty toilet paper all over the floor.

Hard working staff, but they have management problems, and the black paint on the walls is horrendous, food good, not enough veg, think they ran out of stuff, nut Wellington was just nuts mixed with stuffing.

Stopped here as a drop in last minute booking, staff were friendly and polite, especially waitress Llio. We ordered roast dinners, and wow, one of the best we’ve had, all the vegetables you could think of, huge yorkie and excellent coliflower cheese side. Will be back!

We booked the conservatory for a surprise 80th birthday party.. to begin with the staff were amazing and extremely helpful. From start to finish the communication wasn't too much trouble. Food was beyond our expectations, everything homemade and delicious. We would definitely recommend and will now be on our list for our next afternoon out. Just perfect!!

Avoid at all costs! Dirty, Overpriced, Bad Food & Cold. Booked a table for 12pm to have supposedly "The Best Sunday Lunch" according to a poster in the gents toilet. Spoiler alert.. it was far from it. As mentioned, we booked a table for 12pm and arrived at 11:57am we were then greeted by a polite yet very apologetic (for no apparent reason) member of staff witch took us to our table. We were given a choice of two tables one in the very back in what looked like an extension or one in a room off to the side of the kitchen/bar area. The member of staff advised that it might be cold in the extension so we opted to sit in the latter mentioned room. I'd hate to imagine how cold it was in the extension as thorough our time there we had to wear our coats and we were still cold. We then placed our order with the member of staff at around 12:05pm and then proceeded to wait 50 minutes for our Lamb Sunday Lunch to arrive. This would have been fine if the pub/restaurant was full but we were the only two people eating in the whole place! Whilst waiting for our food all we could hear was staff in the kitchen laughing and swearing very loudly the whole time, not exactly a relaxing atmosphere. When the food did finally arrive the member of staff acknowledged that it was a long wait on food and apologised. Now, if the food was good then all of this could have been excused, but to top everything off it was terrible! Especially for the price. The lamb had been sliced up in to wafer thin slices 50% of which was fat and was cold arriving to our table the rest of the meal (veg, gravy & potatoes) was very salty and was ironically very bland and uninspiring. We will certainly not be back and will advise friends and family to avoid at all costs. Some other notes about this place: - The whole interior is dated and dull - Not enough light in the eatery as I could barely see my partner sitting across the table. Personally I felt it was a tactic so that you couldn't see the horrendously overpriced food that they were serving you. - The floors were dirty as you can see from the pictures. - Table wobbled and had around 10 folded paper/cardboard coasters to rectify the issue that had clearly been there for a long time. see picture. - Toilets were dated an dirty, the type of restroom that you'd expect to see in a public WC at the rough end of a town. - Witnessed a kitchen staff member at the bar filling a pint glass with beer for himself. Not exactly what you want to see as a customer. This place has so much potential to be an amazing eatery and is clearly being failed by whomever is running the place. A real shame!

Booked online for 8.15 and it was just under an hour before our food arrived. I ordered “pork” and was given gammon in a very weird smokey sauce. My wife ordered a pie and said is wasn’t hot. Sat in the conservatory and it was freezing! Also, menu on their Facebook page is not the same menu they give you - had chosen this restaurant based on the online menu. Barman with beard was very polite, but young female server pretty much ignored us. I don’t usually leave reviews, but was so disappointed tonight.

On surface level this is a really good pub…. But…. Major management issues. We waited over an hour 15 minutes for 2 steaks, after being told the steaks we’d ordered weren’t available (they did upgrade our steaks for free which was nice). The menu said the steaks came with peas, but instead we were given a bit of average lettuce, which isn’t great pairing. The staff seemed quite stressed and rushed, trying to take our drinks before the glasses were empty. A new worker seemed confused due to perhaps a lack of leadership. Others had long wait times for food too, seems they could do with an extra chef. The lady who seemed like the manager snapped at another group. The food itself just to clarify, was excellent. This could be a really special pub if only the management was a bit stronger. Lovely building and architecture. We would come again if there was a sign up for new management.

Quite possibly the worse place I’ve ever had the misfortune of eating at and I use the term eating very loosely because it was pretty much inedible.

Had lunch here, arrived shortly after a large group had walked in for lunch and the bartender warned us food might be delayed. Despite this, the food was out within 15 mins of ordering and was fantastic. Great service, good food, overall fantastic!

Nice pub grub, a little pricey, but that's the councils fault probably for charging so much on rates.... Its worth a visit if you are in the area.

Ordered two burgers here they were virtually cold although well cooked. No one checked if everything satisfactory did let them know at the end but nothing offered. Also poor value no side salad and small portion of fries in a rusty tub for £18. Doubt we will return.

Sorry to say very disappointed. We booked ahead for 9 people late Sunday afternoon for a birthday meal. Service very slow, glasses not cleared or checked if we wanted more drinks. We arrived 4 30 and received our meals just past 6pm after we had to ask for our food order to be taken and chase up why taking so long. 6 roast beefs, one pork a fish and chips and a burger so not complicated. We were at the point of walking out when food arrived. The jus/gravy ridiculously salty and the beef looked processed rather than calved from a joint. Fish batter was brown not golden. Only because we had waited so long were the dishes eaten and not sent back. Staff very apologetic...it was not busy so they must be inexperienced. Owners /managers need to help the staff. We would have stayed and spent more if things had been up to standard.

Probably one of the best burgers I’ve had in a long time - worth a visit 👍🏼

Great food but long wait for service

Had not been for a while, but what a disappointment. Everywhere is black walls, woodwork - everything . It's so gloomy and in desperate need of a lot of TLC , the food ( Sunday lunch ) was tasty but only luke warm, verging on cold shame really

Staff where lovely!! We were out for a special birthday treat, so I treated myself to the most expensive steak on the menu. This was my £30 fillet steak which I asked for RARE 😞 It was very well done round the outside, with a slight hint of pink in the middle. I should have just gone for the fish and chips.

Lovely little pub, nice garden to the side and seating out the front, perfect spot to people watch, with very friendly staff.. smells from the kitchen are amazing! I'm so tempted to try a Sunday dinner soon, they look amazing! 😋

We popped in for a banging turkey dinner on our way home from Zip World. What a lovely team of staff, so helpful and friendly! good selection of beers and gins with an outside seating option. the gravy was bloody marvellous and the kids chicken bites so nice that Dad pinched 2.

I really can't recommend this place enough. We had booked a table for 9 of us at 8pm but had some issues on the way so didn't end up getting there until 8.30. They were extremely accommodating, serving us very quickly so we could order our food before the kitchen closed and moving us to a bigger table when we had an extra member added to our party. The menu was really impressive - I really struggled to pick just one thing. All 10 of us agreed the food was delicious and was just what we needed after climbing Snowdon earlier in the day!

First time in Tafarn y Bont. Fair play we managed to get a table for food at short notice on a bank holiday. Not sure how to take this place. The food is great, had a burger, they didnt have fries but was given chunky chips instead. Best damned chips ive had gor a while! Top marks there. Beer was as it should be. Staff friendly enough especially the gent from the kitchen. Lovely bloke amd should be upfront! The decor lets the place down though. Its a very dark pub though it does get plenty of natural light. Needs brightening up to feel more welcoming. Wasnt overly busy however i did overhear a 30min wait for food for customers after we had eaten ours. This wait didnt seem to fit the level of custom, but to be fair i could work out how many staff they had to guage it properly. Would visit again based on the food, but wont rush. Worth a visit at least once if youve never been

I called in the pub in person on Tuesday 16 May to book a table for 2 in the conservatory for Friday evening, 19 May at 7pm. On arrival we were informed that the conservatory had been reserved for a larger party and that their policy was that a large group trumped (my interpretation) my booking. We reluctantly accepted the situation and were shown to a table inside. When our food arrived, my wife's fish pie was rich in mashed potato but poor in fish. However my meguez main course was ok. Service was very pleasant but intermittent throughout. We had to pay our bill at the vary busy bar and had to stand for far too long behind customers ordering and paying for drinks. The bill itself was paid despite the fact that my main course was charged at a higher price than that shown on the menu. The two young women trying to service the bar, the outside area and the restaurant were clearly way out of their depth, not because of incompetence but due to excessive pressure. They simply could not cope. This is a serious management issue in a small town with lots of alternative dining venues. We'll try somewhere else next time.

I visited this little gem on Saturday 29th April, with 11 friend's and family member's. The food was very very good, as was the service. I accidently left one of my hearing aids behind, I emailed the place when I arrived home and followed it up with a phonecall. During the phonecall, I was told that they had found my hearing aid (whilst clearing the tables) and had put it behind the bar until I collected it. I explained that it would be around 4 weeks until I was returning to the area and so the lady said that they/she would post my hearing aid to me and asked me to email my details over, so that they could reunite me with my hearing aid. The day after I received an email stating that they had accidently thrown my hearing aid away but that they accept full responsibility for their error and will cover the cost of replacing the item.😇 Several hours later I received another email, stating that it wasn't their fault that I had left it behind and that the email detailing that they take responsability for disposing of my item had been sent in error, that they do not accept responsibility or liability for them throwing a customers items away and that they will not be willing to cover the cost ot the item that they threw away. This isn't the type of establishment that I initially thought it was.

Great food. All food very fresh. The Spicy Merguez sausages were delicious. Staff and Chef were superb. Will be going again.

Lovely Sunday lunch menu, definitely one of the best roasts we've eaten in ages. Great space in the conservatory felt like we we're eating outside without the fear of seagulls. Will definitely be coming again!

Just had my 60th Bday bash exceptionally good night out very accommodating, food was brilliant fresh and well prepared and very flavourful, nothing was a problem, everyone complemented me how good the food was, this place is a must for a party the rear recently decorated conservatory allowed for the food to be presented as a buffet with plenty of areas to eat and enjoy, thanks for making it happen. Also very dog friendly Jack had a brilliant time.

So, so pleased we stumbled across this pub! The food was absolutely delicious and the friendly, welcoming staff went above and beyond for us. It was the perfect find after a long day seeing the sights - I can't wait to go back 😍

Went for Sunday lunch with family. Nice food. I felt the menu was a bit limited maybe because it was a Sunday. Staff were very friendly. Located close to Menai bridge. Parking is an issue. Better use council parking near jade village.

Very disappointed Started with nice welcome but then had to wait 40 minutes for a starter 70 minutes for mains Ingredients not as menu meat sparse and vegetables even more so Vegetarian meal nothing like menu with items more akin to roast meat meal! Front of house staff let down by the kitchen staff. £30 for 2 courses of poor mains but the sticky toffee pudding was tasty.

Had the chicken wing special friday and it was amazing, well presented and tasted better than it looked, the chefs homemade buffalo sauce was a taste sensation, table service spot on no complaints highly recommend a visit.

Visited for a pre booked Sunday lunch. Arrived at 1.50. Got served at 3.10! Restaurant not busy. Menu was limited and incorrect. Beef was being served but not on menu. All lamb had gone so menu was even poorer. Yorkshire pudding was on menu but not served. Food was warm to very warm at best. Food was very nice but overall what an absolute nightmare. Will be crossing that one off places to revisit and recommend. It was part of a families belated Xmas present aswell so thanks for a non memorable experience.

Table for five adults. Saturday night. All ordered different items from menu. All came out same time. Very tasty food. Will definitely use again. Beautiful location.

Excellent Sunday lunch. 8 of us in total and everyone satisfied with meal, beef cooked perfectly. Service could be improved upon, had to request horseradish, salt and pepper etc upon arrival of the meal. Coukd have done this before meal arrived. Would definitely eat here again.

Had a Sunday lunch yesterday with my parents. Lovely meal, a variety of very well cooked vegetables. The meat was plentiful and tasty. All well seasoned. Plenty of tasty jus. The young waitress and manager were attentive, even though busy. Thankyou for a lovely meal.

Okay, went in about 5pm my friend and I were the only customers, but the young woman working was great, friendly cheerful and played some fab music. What could have been awful was actually a lot of fun.

Popped in for a quick drink but was left underwhelmed. Beer was not the best in town, Anglesey Arms and Liverpool Arms are much nicer places. Place a bit dated and in need of a lift.

I dined in their quiet room with my partner and his parents which allowed for a more relaxed experience, away from the hustle and bustle of the crowds and the loud pub music which was nice. However, the service was slow and the waitress was uneducated on the menu and general information about the pub to the point where she had to go away to check with another member of staff each time we asked a basic question. My partner and I are vegan and we ordered the vegan jollof rice however, when it came, it was served with an egg on top which we had to send back. I didn't appreciate that the chef got such a basic thing wrong and, overall, the vegan menu needs many more tasty options considering a large population in the UK are vegan. It would be nice to see vegan versions of some of the non-vegan options that are on the menu and perhaps adding a leaf (or some kind of symbol or note) to the plates of vegan customers to avoid confusion for staff in future. On a more positive note, the best and most tastiest part of my meal was the mango sorbet. That was rather enjoyable and I would definitely recommend.

Popped in for lunch with my mum yesterday. I was so impressed with the menu and the food. Something different to what else is around. All really tasty food quality and fresh. I had the Pork which was mouthwatering and my mum had the beef which was perfectly cooked and tender. We also couldn’t resist desert but the portions were huge so had to take most home. Will definitely be back soon

New Year's Eve. Service was appallingly slow. There was a special limited menu so one would expect the food to have been prepared. It took over an hour to serve our starters. Lamb main course was tough and I had to ask for a steak knife. Broccoli was cold. We had to ask them to hurry our dessert as we had a taxi booked. It took 30mins to serve us a lemon posset and two burnt frangipane. Not worth the money .

I come here very frequently, and am always greeted in a very welcoming manner, and often have a good chat with the friendly staff.

Far better menu choice than your average pub. The menu is inspired by various countries. Absolutely exceptional. The service was spot on, the young girl behind the various was so helpful and efficient.

A welcome break from the usual pub grub. A really interesting menu ( middle eastern), cooked fresh and delicious. A very homely atmosphere . I'm recommending it to all my friends. Un peth un erbyn, ....wel dym byd. Diolch sheff.

Visited here a few weeks ago and enjoyed my steak meal..all freshly cooked and my friend found her seafood meal outstanding. Returned today for lunch with my husband ..sadly disappointed..overcooked chips and onion ring side dish and discovered on way home that we were overcharged ..charged for a side dish that we never received..the waitor had even apologised to us at the table for getting it wrong. Thought we had found a little gem on the island but sadly not ..such a pity as they were very obliging and

Went for lunch! Menu looked great but the Service was slow, waited 50 mins for food which was surprising as there was hardly any people sat down. Ordered the burger and was extremely disappointed, the meat was barely passable for kebab house style burger it had a bad smell and tasted very plastic and processed. Burger was £17 and I would expect high end patty for this price range. Was disappointed as we passed on this information to the manager on shift and she offered us 10% off the burgers first of all then proceeded to offer 15% after saying she couldn't do anymore to us. Also took off the 2 diet cokes but we was still unhappy as had to pay £15 x 2 for burgers we did not eat and had barely took a bite out of one. With this sort of complaint I would expect the burgers to be taken off the bill. The rest of the food was good, had the pizza and garlic bread which was great. My recommendation would be to stay away from the burger!!!

Food was excellent and the waitresses were friendly & very good at their job. Plus you can take your dog. Definitely recommend this place because you certainly get good value for money & have a great meal.

I would go as far as saying that this was the worse meal I've ever had in my life. We went in as a group of 12. We ordered our food and had to wait roughly an hour for our food. I ordered the Spaghetti Bolognese and at £16.95 I expected something very special. Mine was one of the first to come out, visually it looked very dry and it was. I started eating my straight away, it was cold! I was that hungry, I just ate it. I had finished mine and some of our party still hadn't received their food never mind side dishes. Mine could've done with abit seasoning but by the time all the food had come out they offered us condiments, Half of our table had already finished their meals. Very over priced for the standard of food. I will not be returning.

It was my birthday treat ,and I was looking forward to a lovely fillet steak with Diane sauce , as it was on the menu on their website ,but the menu we we’re given was nothing like their website No Fillet Steak ,I was really disappointed , we would have walked out if we could have been able to book somewhere else ,but at 6pm on Saturday we were very doubtful .the staff apologized ,we ended having sirloin instead which we had difficult cutting which a blunt knife , so asked the waitress for a sharper knife ,she said those are our steak knifes and walked away .for the price they charge I expected a lot better than a grotty old room with rickety tables which shook when cutting the steak .oh the chunky chips was delicious shame about the rest .that is the first and certainly the last time we go there .

Don’t be fooled by Google reviews. We happened to be in the area during Easter bank holiday. Our dinner choice got questioned by the locals so we were already slightly worried even before we got to the bridge inn. Once we arrived , realised that this is a dingy old pub. There is a Monday menu which is apparently “pretty much the same as normal menu” told by one of the waitresses. Excuse me miss , have you actually read your menu presented on Google? It genuinely looks like a completely different pubs menu ! Starters were average. Menu did not include steak , I assume lady who took our order was a manager & offered us rib-eye steak if we wanted to. We took this opportunity however I wish we didn’t - £26 for overcooked dry steak (hungry horse does it better & cheaper!) , homemade chunky chips were great , that’s about it! Dinner & price is about 3 out of 10. If other places were open in Bangor on a Monday , we would have left & gone somewhere else. Won’t be returning or recommending.
