Fantastic little pub in a great location in Menai Bridge. Have visited previously and visited a second time recently. Great food, great service, wonderful staff.

Small basic room, no view as over the kitchen and/ or boiler room, so window was blocked out. Room was clean and had tea/coffee making facilities. Location of the hotel is great for walking around church island etc. a new addition of a universal electric car charger ( was previously Tesla charger) was very welcome.

Probably the worst service I have ever had ! Waited a hour for a chicken burger that was cold and then another 40mins for a slice of cheesecake that in the end I said forget it and cancelled it. Waiters were friendly and apologetic but the food service was dreadful

Only called in early Monday morning for breakfast and probably caught them off guard in the pub side but nevertheless six full welsh breakfasts were quickly provided. Food was really good and really reasonably priced. Service was great. Haven't stayed in the rooms but judging by the rest of the building i would imagine they are very nice. Would i go again? Yes definately.😀

Ordered food, staff were really helpful and nice, took our order really quickly, brought our drinks, then the wait began. I asked if food was going to be much longer after 20 mins, and was told would be with us very soon. Then when David came and asked if we would like a dessert, he was very embarrassed when I said we still haven't had any food. In total we waited over 50 minutes for our food, and wasn't busy by time we ordered, it was more we had just been forgotten. No one really apologised except David and he seemed more embarrassed than apologetic. Was a shame as the food was nice, and nice atmosphere.

Been a customer for many years. Don’t usually have a car but parked there many times in the past. Just received a parking fine from a private company. Nobody warned me and I obviously didn’t see the signs. Very disappointed.

Did a quick drive down to Anglesey and snowdonia over the weekend. After our hike up Llanberis path, we drove across Menai bridge and arrived safely at Anglesey Arms and was greeted with the most warm, kind and friendly service. Room was spacious, clean and comfortable. Had the family room for 3 friends and myself. Next morning, we were served hearty breakfast sets + buffet and 2 days parking was included as well. Will definitely visit again with my family, the next time I'm back in Wales.

Beautiful food as always. Visited a few weeks ago, service from Alin was great, really friendly, made suggestions for food choices. The food is amazing, we go quite regularly for family occasions and wouldn’t choose anywhere else! Always great service, always exceptional food!

Beware new car park charges. No longer worth nipping in for a drink. I live and work on Anglesey and while I don't go out for a drink in the pub after work often when I did, in recent times it's always been the Anglesey Arms. Unfortunately on a recent trip I was stung for £100 parking fine. Reading their sign unless you're a hotel guest or you're eating they'll charge you £5 for 3 hours or £10 for longer. On 27/02/25 for which I received the parking fine, I'd been there 4 hours, had a pint of MPA and 3 cans of Guinness 0 and the friend I was with had 5 pints of San Miguel, at £5-£6 a drink ~£50 between us. New parking means a trip like this there'd be a £10 charge on top, I'm not paying an extra 20%. If we only go in for 1 after work it'd be even worse and we'd be looking at a 50% increase in cost. These charges are not to protect parking for customers, while I've seen that car park busy I've always been able to find a parking spot. These charges are also way above the charges you'll pay at the council car parks locally. Unfortunately, this change means it’s no longer a convenient or reasonable place to stop for a drink. Out of principle, even when I’m not driving or when I’m eating (where the fee would be refunded), in future, I’ll look to other venues.

We booked a family room for our group of four friends. The room is spacious and bathroom was super spacious. The bed was firm and we had a good night's rest after a tiring day climbing up Snowdon. The property is very close by the Menai Bridge and we had a nice morning walk the next day along the coast. Will definitely return to stay in Anglesey Arms if visiting Wales again!

The food was no where near first class there wasnt enough duck (even though I had a half of breast) another person in the party had to change their choice. The lamb was ok but the peas were really overcooked and dry. The fish pie was in a very small bowl not great value the for price. It took ages for extra drinks to be brought to the table so we cancelled them in the end.

On arrival the pub looked beautiful. I was greeted with a warm welcome. I was only staying the night as work had booked me a room. After checking in and given my room card, I made my way up stairs into my room. Not going to go on about the room I will let the photos talk for me. Let's say it claims to be a 4 star hotel, what I got was a 1 star room. A single bed which was lopsided, and paint piling of the wall and all over the floor. I went downstairs to complain on which I got told there is no more rooms, so I asked if they could clean the room. As the manager was cleaning my room he all of sudden found another room. Which he said had become free as one of the staff members was going to stay out that night. The room I got was much better, wasn't upto 4 star standards but better than the one I originally got.

We booked a room and used the restaurant. Great service and lovely introduction to Anglesey. Everyone was helpful which was great because we'd driven clear across Wales that day and were a little frazzled. Lovely rooms, spacious and clean. Food was delicious and prompt. Driveway to the the place was very abrupt, but it was probably easier to see during the day.

Decent enough one night stay whilst travelling, though I wouldn't agree with the 4 star hotel claim. Fair sized room (double) although noises from the bar can be distracting.

Do not be put off by the car park! Felt a bit dubious when we pulled in in the dark behind the Waitrose, but we were thrilled with how well equipped, comfy and spacious the room was. The reception desk is at the side of the bar but the bar is a nice typical Welsh/English type pub. We ate breakfast and dinner at he hotel and enjoyed them immensely. The staff were so welcoming and friendly, wished I could have taken them all home with me. Will be staying again!!

Ordered Sunday lunch special for two £39.95. service was good food was Luke warm so sent it back to be re heated. We were told it was not up to std so would be replaced. 2nd attempt was just as Luke warm are the 1st and on plates more like a saucer than a dinner plate. So sadly it went back again We paid for the drinks and went to Beaumaris chippy. It's not hard to serve hot food, but this venue failed twice. But the Guinness was excellent.

We had Sunday lunch here, and it was OK, but missing the pig in blanket, the Yorkshire pudding was like cardboard and the rest of the food was just lukewarm we also ordered extra pigs in blankets which were under cooked. The staff were pleasant and polite but were rushed off their feet, and other food orders were coming out to customers wrong. I feel they need more servers, which would help customers get what they order and their food hot.

Our family of four (parents and two adult children) stayed here in the family room after spending a wonderful day at Caernarfon and surrounding area. The family room was spacious and well appointed. The private en suite was beautiful. We took our evening meal in the restaurant, and it was delicious. The staff were fabulous: kind and helpful. I highly recommend the Anglesey Arms.

Tue evening meal for seven. When it came to ordering, the waitress was very coy on items off the menu. Only after several of us placed our first choice, did we subsequently get informed piecemeal there was no burger, steak, or gammon. My second choice was an excellent fish and chips. The fish was huge and fresh.

I've been many times to eat and never disappointed until last night. With poor food and slow service. I did mention to Tory, our waitress when she asked if everything was okay that our meal was quite average. She gave me a big smile. I don't think my comment had registered so I said I mean it . I won't eat here again. Didn't even ask what was wrong. Food was dry and over cooked. Mash cold. Frazzled chips.

Havent actually stayed, but have been several times for food & drinks, Lovely place, staff are very helpful & friendly, the interior is beautifully done adding to a relaxing atmosphere, the outside is stunning, especially on a warm day, with lots of tables and chairs to sit at whilst having a drink or something to eat, Also a lovely terraced area with fantastic views over the Menai Straits, also large covered Gazebo seating area. Food is fabulous much nicer and better value than Brunning and Price pub/restaurants 😃

My husband and I loved this fabulously individual pub. With its quirky gated door entry system to its stalled seating area. ... we loved it. First you need to find the pub down a side street looking unobtrusive. Secondly, you have to work out how to get in through its door. Read the sign and wait. Thirdly, enter into a magical space of a well stocked bar and well thought seating area to maximise the space within. Finally, park your bottom in one of the seating areas and enjoy the vibe of this funky, friendly and very very interesting pub. We really didn't want to go. No other pub compares to this one and we did try others to give this pub a fair review.
