Brian's Cottage in Falkirk

I ordered a certain dish, the dish I was given resembled another dish listed in sweet chilli sauce, so not what I was expecting… although it tasted… just ok, it wasn’t spicy as described… it’s something you could whip together in 2 mins with a jar of shop bought sweet chilli sauce. I tasted the curry sauce, nothing nice about it… noddles were ok.

I've had deliveries from here tons of times, I rate the food good, only once haveI not been so happy, that's when I ordered king Prawns, the prawns were very small because they hadn't been defrosted prior to cooking. School boy error chef!

Visiting family in Falkirk so not from the area. Saw Lins house closest for collection on Just Eat. Collected and pulled into car park. Young girl on phone taking order. Waited without any acknowledgement. Another customer then entered shop. Then a delivery driver who clearly was more important than waiting customers who had still been not acknowledged. Delivery driver then proceeded to ask for girl to check her money and receipts. Whilst she moaned that deliveries could not get in car park. Another couple of delivery drivers turn up and make way to girl and give receipts and girl behind counter eventually says I have customers. Meanwhile first delivery driver tells her deliveries can’t get on car park. Rather than asks who is next she asks the gentleman after me if she could help him. I said sorry I’m first aware that my order had been ready for collection for more than 20 mins at this point. She asked my name and then brought out delivery then back for mine which I could not collect as delivery driver was standing checking her order. As we left another delivery driver entered and she proceeded to moan to him that deliveries couldn’t get in car park. Approaching the car park. I said I take it that is aimed at me? I am not from Falkirk and unaware that this was not a customer car park? She said it’s deliveries only in an unpleasant tone. I said sorry unaware of this as no signs stipulating that only deliveries. Bearing in mind she had parked on main road as I a paying customer would have. I said I cannot believe the unbelievable customer service in this place. She said nothing. Customer service, training, acknowledgement, new delivery driver and signs in car park much needed. Shame as food was ok (although in Fife you get rice or chips with your meal - have to order these separate here).

Worst chinese in fk area. Ordered chips cheese curry sauce. To get reheated chips, no curry sauce, slither of cheese. Honestly the worst ever. Also chicken chow main. Cut up black bits of chicken slapped on top of noodles. Vile not fit for human consumption. Pls avoid like the plague.

Shouldn't be rated as somewhere that provides food. The foul product they provide cannot be classed as food. What these people send out is particularly disgusting. Don't waste your time, money and don't jeopardise your health.

First time ordering from here and it will be our last, it was awful, black bean sauce tasted like pure sugar and bbq sauce, asked for chicken and king prawns in it received no chicken and the tinniest prawns known to man. Felt sick during and after eating, my partners char sui rice had grizzly fatty bits of meat/bone/cartilage on it doubt it was any kind of legal edible meat to be honest. Note to self don't just pick up a menu always read the reviews.

First time using Lin's House and will be the last. Chicken Curry middle of the road stuff, shredded chicken in a honey chilli sauce,well not great, chicken coating was soggy and the sauce was like coloured water,tasted fairly average but not awful,the Kung Po chicken however,it was very strange,bright red thin watery sauce that tasted of vinegar,it's like they threw some cashews in any old sauce and called it Kung Po,most went in the bin, would've taken it back to them but couldn't really be bothered. Probably close to the worst Chinese I've been too.

Not for me. Firstly the curry sauce is the tongs packet of curry powder that you add water too and is readily available to us all in our supermarkets. The barbecue spare ribs were very tough and difficult to chew. I ordered a few items not short of £40. And I only got a small bag of prawn crackers for free. Will stick to the tea house and also the Taiwan in future

Hang your head in shame, you should be embarrassed to give this muck away for nothing, to ask to be paid for it amazes me. I have eaten better food from dustbins

Having found Lins House it's the best chinese takeaway I have used food made freshly and delicious to eat when you get home it's the only chinese takeaway I would use know could not recommend more

like all indian,chinees ,or any asian food place,you need to look for the best sorry this is not it try others before this.

Having ordered from them numerous times, and enjoyed the meal with no issue, on my way home I decided to pop in for a cheap and cheerful portion of fried rice & curry sauce, and a portion of chips. When I got home I opened up the "fried rice" it was actually more chips in curry sauce, I called them up and said the order was wrong and the boy on the phone said it would be no hassle, he will send a driver with the replacement meal as soon as. However when the driver arrived she asked for a further £1.50 charge for the delivery (I stay literally around the corner from the place, but was shattered after a long day at work) to which I was shocked. She said that was the boss' decision, well I had to apologise for having wasted her time, but as I had already overpaid for chips and curry sauce that I did not even order in the first place, but I would not be paying the delivery on my original order for a mistake that I did not make, I asked her also if it had went through as fried rice and curry sauce, which it had, so it was poor management that will leave the bad review here, and unfortunately due to this me and numerous of my friends will not be ordering in future from this poorly managed establishment.

A really nice takeaway - good quality ingredients and always freshly made. Our favourite Saturday night treat!

Has to be the best takeaway I have been to Travelled over 10miles to go once Brian is always friendly :) Especially recommend the beef chow mein

Well Brian, you were once top of your game. But you've been resting on your laurels and all the others have overtaken you . Get inventive, make some exciting fresh and tasty dishes . And please tidy the place up, it looks run down when you see it in daylight , a good clean and paint would help .
