Brewdog Manchester Outpost in Manchester

We went for the Beer school which Ethan hosted on Easter Sunday. We really enjoyed it. He was very informative and we got to try lots of different beers and tasters. The Cheese board was lovely too. Highly recommend the place and it was a great way to spend a couple of hours 👌.

Had a great time, allergies are always a challenge but Dan and the kitchen were great. Also, do the beer flight.

Dan was amazing! Really friendly and accommodating to 6 kids.

Came in today for lunch with the kids. Great food and amazing service from Dan. Great range to games to keep the kids occupied!

Came here after going to The Academy and was a little concerned that the food wouldn’t be that good so late at night, but boy, were we wrong! Great, attentive and friendly service by two awesome team members and the food we had (burger, tacos and loaded fries) were really, really good. The burger was so well cooked, lovely, juicy and so flavourful! Oh yeah, the drinks were also great!! Highly recommended indeed.

5 stars for the best mac n cheese in the world. If the recipe changes I will die. Bless the person who makes the mac n cheese I hope they're living good

Main course was somewhat cold and came out separately. Ordered desserts but they never came so we left. Quite disappointed normally great place. Kitchen staff need to do food hygiene training as I saw on a number of occasions the kitchen staff wiping her nose on the back of her hand and not going to wash putting her hand straight into the food.

Found this lovely gem on the way to a gig at the academy. Lovely team! They were happy to help with choosing from the vast array of wonderful booze and the chicken wings were exquisite. Will definitely be back when we are in the area!!

Nice venue and location, unfortunately let down by terrible service. Ordered a salad that took 35 minutes to come despite seeing it ready to be served at the hatch for much of this time. Not a great attitude from majority of servers. Really resent the prices too based on this and the default addition of a tip.

Second time here and unfortunately the service is still really poor. My partner who is diabetic and was in need of something to eat, and I, were waiting at least half an hour for just one dish to be delivered and I had to go and ask after it at the bar even though we could see it waiting on the service hatch! The wine and beer here is excellent and the food, although pricey, is nice, the service is the only thing that lets it down. Service this slow is unacceptable.

The quaint atmosphere and decor is absolutely stunning. Food prep took a bit longer than I was expecting. I booked a table for 1230 to 130 but only got my food at 120. The wings, I can't fault them at all however the salads were tired. I didn't even try the coleslaw, it did not look appetising at all. The fries were fine. Toilets were pristine so that's a plus there. Overall atmosphere 5 star 🌟

This started as a convenient place to eat before a concert but what a fantastic time we had. First thing - what a fantastic pub, a modern and industrial look with a fantastic atmosphere - of all age groups. The food was just what was needed, very tasty and delivered soon after ordering. Using a flight, I tried 8 different beers, including 2 brewed on the premises, which I loved. If we lived in Manchester this would be our type of pub to visit. If you are nearby, give it a go. The food and beer are backed up by very friendly and hard working staff, so you will be looked after well.

Open mic night on a Sunday. Normally fairly quiet but a nice atmosphere. I have tried to eat here a couple of times but I am coeliac and the kitchen has not been to confirm is food is gluten free. I have only visited on Sunday nights when I am sure they are short on staff and the kitchen will be close to closing. Good selection of beer and also gluten free beer However the price of half a pint of Coke zero was £3.95 which is obscene. A pint was £4.45 which is bad enough

Food and atmosphere is good, table and chairs are clean. The only problem is that you have to wait for an insanely long time to get your food.

Modern, clean, fast paced. Excellent menu and relatively well priced. Lovely staff too.

Came after a very long train ride from Edinburgh 2/15/25. It’s a large location with upstairs area to. Easy walk from the Hyatt and busy area. Started with a denim and leather IPA and then a brewers choice barleywine which the just tapped a new keg as originally they were out. Staff was professional and place was not too busy which was nice e for us!

Best beer selection in the City, the wings were unreal and the staff can’t do enough for you!

Came in for a few drinks and bar food. The staff behind the bar were really knowledgeable and recommended something I would like (sweet beers!) The food was also great, really filling and came quickly. Will definitely be back!

Barman with long hair and wearing a hat has a major attitude problem, rude to my 75 year old father when ordering drinks, also rude to my wife when ordering food. He missed the order for a child’s meal, after an hours wait for food the barman seemed to think this was amusing that my 3 year old son’s order wasn’t on the ticket. The duty manager was absolutely pathetic, completely spineless. I would seriously reconsider ordering food in this pub as meals were well below normal standard. It’s basically a Wetherspoons with music, but 4 times the price.

Went twice in two weeks recently and will never be going again. Overpriced. Around £15 for a standard burger with no chips. £4 for a small coke (bar staff didn't tell me that a pint was about 50p more which would've been useful). Second time I went was with a group and the food came out very staggered. 20 minutes plus between people getting their food. One person had to get a refund as their food just never arrived. They were quizzed and had to wait for receipts to be gone through as if they were trying to pull a fast one but eventually received one apology and the refund for food. They were also told that the appalling service on food was due to an Xmas party the previous night so the kitchen were making everything from scratch? But they didn't tell us that before we ordered. I opted for a caesar salad and it was small for the price. Just don't bother going here. It's empty for a reason.

Bottomless brunch. SHOCKING. Most of the already limited menu wasn’t available. One of the only savoury meals was rock hard & inedible. It took 1hour to bring x4 tiny pieces of burnt chicken, x4 unbuttered giant holed bread slices (crusts that i still can’t believe the chef served to us). We asked for butter for the bread, it took a further 30mins for chips to be served (tiniest portion)- to still never receive the butter. Far from what we expected when travelling all the way to Manchester & paying £85 for the voucher! Feeling ripped off is an understatement.

Ellie and Rachel are always lively fun and welcoming...they also offered excellent advice on my choice of nightcap 🙂👍

Fantastic Beer School experience. Had a great range of different beers and very interesting and homely conversations with our guide John. Will be coming back!

Me and my partner when for the beer school experience and it was amazing learnt a lot about beer and BrewDog. Also would like to say that Kyle was an amazing host and teacher. We will definitely be back again to have another pint or two

I'm a big fan of brewdog pubs, but this one was not great. All food was extremely overcooked: burgers dry and edges carbonised, wings were strings of dry meat and fried bones, chips were crisps. Also, no goodies in the hoppy meals. Service was great though.

I attempted to use my student discount but forgot to mention it at the beginning. When I asked if I could get a refund and repurchase with the discount, they were unable to accommodate my request.

Lovely place, lovely beer, the burgers are massive and could feed you for a week. Staff are lovely too :)

Almost everything was overcooked (Hamburger and Onionrings), we complained about the onion rings and they brought us overcooked onion rings again. The salad was very small. Too expensive for what you get. Ordering through the app was also very complicated and they ask for too much private information. Beer and location were good. Don't eat here, just drink beer!

A really cool Brewdog place in the area of the University. Jamie and Ellie have been super nice and helpful. We drank 4 1/3 beers and had great Burger and Wings.

Nos sirvieron comida fría, con una espera demasiado larga para la comida, y vimos 2 de las comidas sentadas debajo de las lámparas de la escotilla esperando a ir durante > 10 minutos. . uno de nuestro grupo se acercó e incluso preguntó si eran nuestras hamburguesas. . . para que nos dijeran que sí, pero esperando a que se hicieran las demás. . . claramente las lámparas estaban encendidas, pero no emitían ningún calor. . . la comida estaba fría como piedra. . . Tal vez un problema en la cocina, si no pueden hacer su momento adecuado para el servicio de mesa ... el lugar no estaba demasiado ocupado, la falta de personal en la cocina? De cualquier manera, arruinó la comida y Brewdog tiene la osadía de solicitar un % de propina cuando pagas por adelantado... quizás la mejor propina sería contratar más personal o invertir en más capacitación... El personal nunca pasó de la mesa para registrarse, según el servicio de atención al cliente habitual de Brewdog, pero claramente, el personal de esta noche necesita reciclarse con respecto al servicio al cliente. Esta es nuestra segunda vez visitando Brewdog Manchester Outpost, la primera vez fue para una experiencia de la escuela de cerveza, y ayer fue para cenar antes de ir a un concierto. En ambas ocasiones lo hemos disfrutado mucho. Ojalá hubiera conseguido el nombre del amable barman que nos atendió anoche, estuvo muy ocupado pero aun así se tomó el tiempo de venir a nuestra mesa para ver si estábamos bien para la comida y las bebidas y también nos dio algunos buenos consejos sobre el lugar donde estaba el concierto, parecía un tipo sonoro.

Waited over 1 hour for food, went to check on the order to be told the order hadn't gone through (despite being charged) then when food arrived, it was wrong. Finally got the right order, nearly 30 mins after chasing it, and it was rock hard and so salty, had to leave it. The server also tried to get us to take a refund as they couldn't prioritise our order when it was first identified that the original order hadn't gone through. Honestly one of the worst meals I've ever had and 100% will never return.

The Beer School was a really fun evening, good cheeseboard as well. Great night, thanks

Came in 6pm on Saturday, 80% of the menu was not being served, staff incredibly rude and not helpful to show what was and wasn’t in stock instead just waited for us to ask for something for them to tell us no! Chef came over the radio and said they couldn’t guarantee the table upstairs food wasn’t cross contaminated (the person who ordered was allergic to gluten) because they were so busy. The bar was literally 25-30% full. Absolute joke

Ate here this afternoon and ordered a sharing platter for £16.95. Plus 2 rounds of drinks. I don't normally leave reviews but this was so measly and such poor value I've decided to look this up to do so. Not sure what sort of sharing platter offers 3 of each item? Who gets one?? 3 small chicken wings, 3 small overcooked potatoes (how cheap are potatoes??) Which looked like they had been in the oven all afternoon. I thought the few straps of buttermilk goujons were "off" or I wondered if they'd substituted them some quite gristly pork without mentioning it. Also at £3.95 for half a draught coke?. They offer 25% discount for students but nothing for NHS /blue light . Really disappointing, waste of hard earned cash. Won't be going back I'd have fed this back to the staff at the time but no one asked or seemed to care .

Meet with family there to have food and some beers. They stop serving food 7pm to give preference to upcaming reservations that night. We had to go somewhere else.

Excellent food and service here. We hired a space for a large corporate event, Gaby and Conner were extremely helpful. They gave us a range of choices and provided drinks tokens for us to use at the bar. First class.

The service was ok but took over an hour for one order of wings which were almost cold. Although it was wings Wednesday there was no way we could wait for take two.

Draft beer is good especially the local brew beer. The Patriot burger is nicely done and the portion is not too large good for one person to eat, however the seasoning is a bit on the salty side. The wings are really strange in terms of flavor.

Just want to thank Jamie.we we're bought a beer school session and didn't really know what to expect. Jamie is so interesting and made the whole experience great fun. I would recommend it as a great way to try different beers and enjoy cheese. Who knew cheese went with beer.

It was a busy night. We had booked a table shortly before coming but were told that was impossible and that other people had tables because they paid - I had to point out that we had also paid. They did however find us space. After the England game had finished and the pub emptied, we ordered food using the QR code on the table. A server came out to tell us that fries were no longer available so they had cancelled the entire order as they couldn’t cancel individual items and she was not in the least apologetic. We had to reorder from scratch again replacing the fries. The order came out and was dumped on the table by another server and we were told that the coleslaw wasn’t available so what did we want instead. We asked what else there was available and he told us to look at the menu - but this was the second item not available despite being able to order it. He then said the potatoes were easiest to fry, so that’s what we had. Not very happy with the service from the staff.

Went there for wing Wednesdays and honestly it didn’t live up to the hype. All wing flavours were too salty and over-fried. The Korean BBQ in particular was terrible and tasted nothing like Korean bbq. Pretty slow service too, ended up waiting a while between each plate of wings. Then had the cheek to charge extra £1 per pot of dip.

My experience at Brewdog was terrible. 3 of us attended before a gig at O2 Apollo. Arrived in plenty of time to ordering before. I ordered first, my friends around 5mins after. 40mins later, their food had arrived & mine was nowhere to be seen yet other tables were having theirs being brought out. The staff could not care less about service, asked where it was & it was ‘it’s on its way’. By this time, we needed to leave for the gig. I went up to ask for a refund as I would not be able to eat, they did not even ask why I wanted a refund or the fact the food might even been made. Weird staff, weird venue & horrendous service.

Disappointed! Safe to say that the drink we were first served was the worst we had for the whole day. (and we had been in a train station bar) Asked for a Wingman and was given a flat and not very chilled drink! We were then informed that we would not be able to order food for 90 minutes due to an event. While I understand that places do take bookings for large parties and events, why allow me to book for food at a time on the website and be told different when we get there? Thankfully the place does have a massive variety of drinks which we went on to sample. (Which was very good and what we expected from the website and stories we had been told) We then were allowed to order food after being there for nearly 2 hours. Which the colleague did give great service when ordering. The food was prompt, but we ordered 2 burgers and loaded fries to share. The burgers came without issue (and we're very good, hence the 4 star rating) but were told there was a wait on the fries. 20 minutes later still nothing. We were told it was due to the chef dropping them! We then left it another 15 minutes but then had to leave due to other planned activities. We went to pay the tab and the guy behind the bar then had the audacity to say they were removing the charge for the fries as a gesture of goodwill for the wait!!! Why would I pay for something I never received?! Overall there were good parts to the bar and on another day it may be fantastic, although our visit was far from that and if it wasn't for a couple of good colleagues and the food that we actually received. It would have been even worse!

Normal brewdog with a good choice of beers. Had a few beers on tap from outer half brewery in USA Cracking beers. Some beers are brewed onsite. Staff very friendly and helpful. Its about a mile walk south of city centre but well worth the walk (or bus) didn't have food bit it looked good

Went here for dinner with 4 work colleagues. Service was good and food very tasty. Food choice for burgers etc with a great range of drinks.

Atmosphere always pretty good here and obviously a great selection of good beers, however on this occasion - despite specifically booking in advance to eat - there was a minimum wait of 1 hour just to order food. Had they have declined the booking, it would have been no problem. However I booked there to eat before heading to the Ritz to a gig. Ended up with a Tesco meal deal. Should mention that the service from staff here is usually pretty ace so don’t be deterred from visiting. Cheers.

The food was very poor for the price. Not sure I’d eat there again as there are so many nice food places around. Beer was great though.

Nice bar with pleasant staff. Good place to sit down and have a chat with a drink. The menu, when the kitchen is closed, is a bit cheeky. Be aware that a 'cheese platter' is literally a small bag of cheese bits, not a sharing platter or any 'real' cheese.

What happened to Brewdog, this place has gone massively downhill. The food is rancid and greasy, what used to be some of the best chicken wings out there are now coated in this horrid thick breadcrumb layer and dripping with grease, barely any chicken or flavour at all. Beer is flat and unexciting. The place had a dead atmosphere, but no surprise no one was there given the poor quality of both food and drink. Won’t be coming back here.

Booked because I was going to a gig at Manchester Academy. Pre gig party was advertised on socials saying music would be played etc. Despite there being quite a few people in who were obviously going to the gig there was no sign of a "party" or any Stiff Little Fingers tunes! Not an issue albeit this was the reason I was there. Service was good and there was a problem with my wifes meal - some of the ingredients were missing. We were offered a replacement meal but instead we had it removed from the bill and were given free drinks so very happy with how that was dealt with. Burger was excellent. So a positive experience but care re advertising "events" that dont materialise

First round of wings were bountiful and tasty. Second round felt like smaller wings were given. The Buffalo and Korean spice flavours were lovely, however, the dragon spice was like a salt and pepper vibe but far too heavy on the salt, almost like they'd been drowned in saxa table salt. No complaints about service, although we felt like if you were trying to break an all you can eat it record it would've been impossible with the time between wing deliveries. Only real feedback would be please offer a sauce for people who don't like spicy, but don't want dry wings. Really loved the prickly pear sour beer brewed on site.

We booked a table for 6 people at 6.30 as a pre gig meal on Saturday. We ordered food and were told no vegetarian burger option. The vegetarian in the group had to have chips only. We were not told there would be a wait. An hour and a half later we got our food, cold chips and not very special burgers after the wait. The reason given was they were down a fryer and grill ! Missed the support act and right at the back 😒 Won't be going there again. They quite rightly gave us a discount on the bill.

Gluten free option not available. Salad smothered in salad area like dressing which wasn't very pleasant in itself and swamped the taste of the other ingredients.

Think this bar is better than the original Brewdog in the centre of Manchester. Nice atmosphere, great staff, good food and beer.

Had come out for a birthday lunch. When we got there we were told the kitchen had been closed. They said staff illness, bit disappointing that the kitchen isn't resilient enough to cope. They offered us a table in town but by then everyone was parked up and hungry so we went elsewhere.

Jamie provided us with an excellent experience on the Beer School and the location is superb.

Very poor customer service, although I realise that if the place had ran out of food, they booked us into brewdog in deansgate, when we got there the staff were dismissive, and said they were full even though we had booked a table through Oxford road branch. Generally just bad communication between branches, otherwise food is good there

Food was slow and average at best. They forgot 2 people's orders and we missed the first support act at a gig next door because of it. Mac and cheese was bland and we all felt a bit stomach ill for the next couple of days afterwards. They took 1 hour and 45 to serve 2 of our table of 4. Didn't think to apologise or anything. On a plus side the lady at the bar was great, she was fast, efficient and was happy to serve us our espresso martinis.

Always a lovely place for a pre gig burger and pint but it does get very busy on a gig night.

Came in for food for my partners birthday, Dwayne behind the bar was great at recommending us some different craft beers to try which surprisingly I enjoyed more than I thought. Food was also great, thinking of coming back for the bottomless wings one day after recommendation. Well worth the visit!

The venue is great good service and beers but you need to look at installing a few permanent TVs above the walls or something similar.

Cracking time watching the 6 nations here! A lad called Duanne told me to get the wings and I wasn't let down. Will be back on a Wednesday for the bottomless wings

Had a great time booked in to watch the Six Nations. Duanne was an excellent host and regularly checked on our group. Food was top tier!

Came in to watch the Superbowl, what a brilliant atmosphere, being a stout girl myself I was introduced to Black Heart! Tried my hardest to 'split the heart'. Duanne was a great help to us and made our visit so welcoming and I will definitely be returning to try and split the heart once more!

Great spot near University of Manchester. Staffs were friendly and food was good. Will be back next time!
