I come in here every now and again to work. It’s always a really welcoming place, they have great wifi, and have lots of tables and charging points upstairs (and this is usually very quiet) so it’s a perfect working or reading spot. A pot of tea is £3 which is about average. This is a clean and vibey place and very enjoyable to work in. My only issue is in attempting to stick to their aesthetic, none of their chairs properly fit under the table which is very annoying when wanting to sit up at the table. Please can you get chairs where you can actually sit under the table! As well as this, please can you make sugar available on all tables instead of giving individual cubes where I have to go down and get more. Very minor points as love this place!

I've been a regular customer at Brewstone for a number of years & enjoy the dining experience. I always bring guests and even hosted my 30th birthday here! Recently I got a parking ticket in the carpark. I asked at the bar & the manager said Brewstone would quash it for me, so I sent proof of purchase to the email address I was given & didn't pay the fine. After several visits and emails to managers I eventually got to speak to a manager, who said the opposite of what I was told at first and refused to speak to the parking company without giving a clear reason. So I had to pay an increased fine (£140). There was no apology for the misinformation, poor communication, failure to respond to multiple emails to multiple addresses, and unhelpful responses, or that if they had told me straight away I had to pay it would have saved me £100. Still waiting to hear back at present. I won't be going here any more as the whole experience has been tarnished by this incident. Hoping this will provoke a response.

We had a horrific meal here earlier today. The starters were stone cold. The main course was inedible - half a large aubergine, totally raw. The staff were pleasant enough but couldn't be less bothered that the food they serve is so awful. I've eaten here several times and always enjoyed good meals. I'm not minded to go back ever.

Lovely atmosphere but does get quite loud when it gets busy. Good value for money food We were told that the pizzas were huge and would likely take them home but they weren’t. We probably would’ve ordered sides with them had we known. The tapas was lovely and tasty. Some of the food my friends had was lacking in taste apparently. A couple of things we were chasing the waiting staff for that hadn’t arrived after a while but it was fine, not an issue. The service seemed a bit disjointed but the staff were lovely and approachable. The car park is very convenient and a nice touch for the place as it’s so difficult to park in the uplands area when it’s busy on the weekend. Cocktails were lovely too.

After having a great time with 2 other couples I was let down by the brewstone for not entering my number plate when given. Server took our number plate as even though they promote Free parking I had a parking charge for £60 if paid in 8 days not the 14 it suggests, so server didnt input number plate at the time of requesting or drinks order, six nations table booked for 6 of us over £400 pound spent and they still not happy but to let the pcn stand, only evidence was the cctv at site but they hide behind Gdpr rules. So had no choice but to pay it as it would have gone up to £100 if I appealed or not paid, plus I was only given 8 days to find the money as well. Generic reply's from management, don't fall for the promotion of Free parking as they are fraudulently using it to obtain extra money to bolster their revenue. Will never darken the door s of brewstone Swansea Uplands again think twice if I was you, if you are thinking you will enjoy then only to find a pcn on your doorstep 2 weeks later. Small portions of food as well, ps I was sober as well.

Service, ambiance, prices and food were all exceptional, plus their menu is just interesting enough to really stand out as different, but without resorting to really weird ingredients. We loved everything about it and were so pleased to have found it given that we are from out of town and only located it by googling restaurants near our digs!

Has so much potential, let down by silly things. Visited as a family of 5. Positives - Nice atmosphere, music playing in the background but not so loud you have to shout to have a conversation. Decorated to a good started. pizza mains were very nice. 4/5 of us had the pizza after it was recommended lovely stuff. Staff friendly, personable and seemed to genuinely want you to have a nice experience. Negatives Slow service. It wasn't especially busy when we visited, I don't mind waiting for good food but the mains really took a long time to come. Staff - as friendly as they were, they were poor at the basics. Constantly had to ask for fresh cutlery, plates were not cleared from the table and drinks were not offered when everyone was clearly done. Deserts - don't bother. Cakes are dry and appear to have been in the glass cabinets for too long. 3/5. I don't think I will be rushing back I'm afraid.

This is a perfect venue for a special event! My husband and I had our wedding party here after our ceremony at the Civic Centre. We were able to rent out the top 2 floors of Brewstone with pre-ordered drinks and food for our guests. We even had our own private bar so that our guests could order their own favourites (including a delicious cocktail from their extensive cocktail menu!). Matthew in particular was such a wonderful point of contact, making sure all of our questions were answered. He was so accommodating and made us feel so special and listened to every step of the way. Our guests absolutely raved about our party here. They loved the pizza and the ambience (and the outdoor patio). The top floor is the perfect space to put a PA system and a DJ or live performer. We love the staff at BrewStone and it was the perfect vibe for our wedding celebration. So easy, yet class all the way! Thank you, Brewstone, for an unforgettable evening!

Four of us came here for birthday drinks and we had a lovely night. Ambience in the bar was spot on and safety measures clearly in place. Our waitress was Laura who was an absolute delight. “Oi, barkeep, get me a beer”...is not a quote you’d hear in this bar. The bar-keeps (they prefer their first name [Laura]) provide excellent service, frequently seeing a re-fill opportunity and flying through to take your order. If you’re feeling particularly flippant, take advantage of the frightening selection of lager beers and ciders. Go well, Laura. Cracking work.

Been here many times and always had great food. Unfortunately on this occasion the food was not up to usual standard. My wife and I ordered Steak Frites, when it 1st arrived I was pleasantly surprised at the size of steak, but when started to eat found it was cold and raw on inside, my wifes was the same. New steaks were prepared and were hot this time , but found them very very fatty. Also my son ordered Rissols from the 'Pots' nut found them to be just paste , deep fried and soggy batter. A disappointing visit as we have always had excellent food on many previous visits.

I visited Brewstone today with my mum and my 1 year old son, and it was such a poor experience I felt compelled to leave my first ever Trip Advisor review, so that’s a bit of a backhanded compliment for you I suppose. I called ahead to book and mentioned we’d be two adults and a baby in a pram who’d need a high chair. I was told there’d be a table available for us, but my details weren’t taken for a booking, so I assumed you must be quiet and have plenty of tables free. When I arrived, the waitress showed me to a table at the back of the restaurant, down a flight of steps. I thought this was an odd choice when I had a pram with me, but the waitress was happy to help me get the pram down the stairs. This was kind of her, but surely it would be easier to seat people with prams on the main level? Of course, by the time we got to the table my sleeping baby was wide awake, so my hopes of a quiet lunch were gone. I then discovered he needed his nappy changed (urgently, shall we say) and that I’d need a key for the disabled toilet as it was locked. This is fine, of course, but due to the “urgent” situation and no sign of a waitress, I had to put my mask on and go up to the bar to ask for the key. The staff there looked horrified that I’d left my table, despite me wearing a mask. Once inside the toilet, the baby changing facilities left a lot to be desired. There was what looked like mud or dirt on the changing table, probably from a child’s shoes, and there isn’t actually a nappy bin, just a sanitary disposal bin for period products. The opening on that type of bin is a bit narrow for a full nappy, which had clearly affected the person before me, and there was faeces smeared along the chute when I lifted up the flap of the bin. It’s great that extra measures are being taken to sanitise for covid, but it’s important to remember that some things, like baby changing tables and toilets, have always needed to be deep cleaned regularly and have appropriate facilities, and we shouldn’t be forgetting that now. Following this, we ordered our food. I ordered a chicken skewer salad with couscous, my mum had a mushroom wrap and potato wedges, and we asked if we could have a bread roll for the baby. My mum and I have both worked in catering (which unfortunately makes us quite fussy customers, as we’ve seen it all from the other side), and I think it’s a pretty standard rule that if someone orders something for a child, that should come out straight away, or at least with the starters. That way, kids are fed and happy and the adults can enjoy their meal when it comes. However, around 30-40 mins went by with no sign of the bread roll or our meals. There were only 3 other occupied tables around us, one of which only ordered coffees, and it’s impossible to know from the back of the restaurant, how busy it is at the front, as you can’t necessarily see. As there weren’t many tables near us, there also wasn’t a lot of presence from staff. Eventually, a waitress asked if we’d like to order some food. We explained we had, and asked if it would be much longer as we needed to leave soon for an appointment. She checked, and said our food would be 3 minutes. We asked if we could at least have the bread roll straight away, and she said that was being prepared too - I’m not sure how much preparation a bread roll needs. When the food arrived, my order was wrong, and I received chicken skewers on their own, with no salad or couscous. I pointed this out and the waitress just said she thought that was what I wanted. She offered to take it away but I explained we didn’t have time to wait. Upon closer inspection, the chicken skewers were an anaemic yellow shade, and barely warm. It wasn’t even clear if they’d ever been brought up to a sufficient heat for them to be safe to eat. One of the potato wedges was already in half, leaving it looking like it had had a bite taken out of it, and the mushroom wrap looked wholly unappetising. The only good part was the bread roll, which my son was thrilled to receive after its extensive “preparation”, so at least one of us was happy. Again, no staff around, so my mum put her mask on and took the chicken skewers up to a waitress standing by the bar to explain they were cold. A waitress then came to the table and asked if she could take anything else away, clearly preempting the fact that none of what we’d received was really up to scratch. Another waitress then came over to apologise, and explain we’d only be charged for the wrap and drinks. I have to say, she was lovely and very apologetic. She did her best to explain why the service had been so poor, saying they were understaffed and simply couldn’t handle the amount of tables they had. This is a shame, but surely the solution would be to stop accepting tables, particularly now when you have to book so it’s easy for the restaurant to be in control? I appreciate this is something to take up with the person running the restaurant, not waitresses, which is why I didn’t pursue it any further with her. She kindly offered to give us a voucher for 20% off a round of drinks in the bar, which would be valid for a week. This was a nice gesture, but given that I have a 1 year old and my mum is 64, we’re not exactly the types to be visiting a bar regularly. I also noticed afterwards that she had dated the voucher to expire in September instead of October. As the waitress walked away, another table nearby called her over and we overheard that they’d also received chicken skewers on their own when they’d ordered them with salad and couscous. When we were leaving (after heaving the pram back up the steps), I noticed a waitress heading into Tesco just down the road, no doubt for some couscous. I’ve been to Brewstone a handful of times over the years, and my mum and I live close by, so it would be an ideal, convenient spot for us. But every time, it’s mediocre at best, and totally disappointing at worst. It’s a shame, because the basics are there, it’s a lovely looking restaurant in a great location, but the food is always sub-par and the staff just don’t seem to be able to handle the volume of tables. Yes, there were plenty of tables in when we visited, but it wasn’t that busy - social distancing means you can’t be anyway. I saw at least 4 waitresses, plus a barman; ample staff to deal with the number of customers. If the kitchen staff are struggling, maybe a smaller menu would be advisable. Lunch should be a quick meal, a salad and a wrap shouldn’t take 40 mins (especially when the salad goes missing), and children should always be served quickly. Local businesses are crying out for customers to come back, and they should be supported, but not when they can’t even get the basics right.

Been here a few times and amazing place but came here with my partner on the weekend for a few drinks as lockdown 2.0 was coming. Bit of a change to our normal routine, which was expected. Got greeted at the door and sat to our seat, fab! Loved the not having to queue for a drink. Waitress talked us through the menu and offered us a bottle of whiskey for £400! Loved the enthusiasm and her ‘window sales technique’. My husband choose to go for a pint and myself a cocktail, I was unsure at first of some of the ingredients but as we were sitting near the bar the waitress came over and guided me through some of the ones with unusual names. I decided to go for one called “more fuego” delicious. We ended up spending a couple of hours here as the vibe and atmosphere was great. Although the imminent fear of covid was still about the venue had procedures in place to put my mind at ease. It’s a shame they couldn’t stay open longer as me and my husband both thoroughly enjoyed our time and was enhanced by the waitress that was full of enthusiasm and she really made an effort to make us feel welcomed, it’s a shame I didn’t catch her name but she’s a great addition and we will definitely be back! Very very happy customers

Called to make a reservation and told fully booked but that we could walk in on the ‘bar side’ as they weren’t taking bookings in there to make room for walk ins. Decided to go at 18:30 to maximise chances of getting a table. Get there and all of the inside tables in the bar side were reserved. I explained to a staff member that I’d called and they had told me they weren’t reserving these tables and she just stared at me. No communication whatsoever. We were then offered a table outside in the shipping container which we took, since it was our only choice. Upon being led outside the waitress declares it’s table service so not to come back to the bar but that she’s forgotten the menus and rushed off - but never came back. After 10 mins twiddling thumbs a man came over and tells us we must download the app to order, so we struggle on and eventually someone brings a menu. Drinks ordered but nowhere to put table number! So one of our party heads to the bar to ask. Staff just seem totally clueless, didn’t know where our order or money had gone. Drinks came 15 mins later. We had one round of drinks and left. Funnily enough as we left nearly an hour later, all reserved tables in the bar are still empty?! Absolute joke. I’ve been to brewstone in the past and enjoyed but it just seemed staff didn’t care, they had clearly greedily overbooked and told us to come in anyway, lying about the reservations! We had an excellent evening in Calaca Kitchen just up the street. Will not return.

We were seated straight away and was please to see glass screen placed between tables. The menu is not big but there’s enough to make a choice for lunch. Hubby and I chose 6 tapas between us- 2x seafood - lovely. 1 meatballs - really didn’t like this / salty and over spiced. 1 chicken wings - I liked this but hubby reckoned they were over cooked. Cod and white fish - nice but very small portion. Stuffed mushrooms - lovely. Several pieces of pitta bread were served too. Grandson chose a veggie Mediterranean dish off the main menu - which he enjoyed. Altogether it was a lovely meal and we’ll return.

Me and my friends went to Brew Stone last night for a catch up and meal. It was amazing! The food was incredible, the bar staff were chatty and friendly. Everything was amazing... in the restaurant side. After our meal, they managed to seat us in the bar area so we could have some more drinks. We were waiting for table service (because of Covid) and after about 15 minutes we went to ask and they said they would be right up. A further 10 minutes went by and we gave up and walked out to see 3 bar staff chatting downstairs.I’m sure it’s just like this because of covid and their restrictions but we did feel forgotten about which is a shame after such a good time in the restaurant area. (Hence why it’s not 5* and only 4*)We will try again in the bar area another time BUT PLEASE GO FOR THE FOOD ITS AMAZING!!!!

Dined here at 6.30pm on a Wednesday night. Great first impressions from friendly attentive staff but it all started to deteriorate from there. 4 of the dishes we wanted to choose “were not ready yet” so we couldn’t order them (the main course menu isn’t that big), we didn’t get our drinks for half an hour after ordering and, when the starter did eventually arrive it was incomplete. Then our main courses were delivered before we’d finished our starters. They were taken away apologetically and we were told that they were under staffed which explains some of the delays and mix up. However when we did finally get our main courses they were disappointing: the steak was tasteless; chicken and rice was dried up and the mushroom and spinach pizza under cooked. Such a shame as it’s a lovely setting and atmosphere.

Stunning food, unique menu and terrific atmosphere. Had the slow cooked lamb and my daughter had the oven baked cod...ended up sharing both they were that tasty. Meatballs and stuffed mushrooms to start were super tasty and overall we had a great time.

Vvv nice and friendly, efficient lady serving. V clean and well spaced out covid wise. Vegan pizza not bad, better vegan cheese than usual in terms of taste but v sloppy texture. Tasty lemonade and good size. Good coffee. Mozzarella and broad bean side salad small but decent. Meatballs awful, far too salty and v small portion. 3 types of hummus, OK but far less tasty than previously and no flat bread. Chicken wings OK. Potato wedges cremated. Lamb wrap kitchen forgot about, taken off bill, when arrivedamb tasty but not hot in temperature and served with v little salad or sauce and a side of slightly stale crisps. Standard of food shld not slip just because the government offer is on!

Lovely food and friendly staff. Booked online no problem, staff were helpful and friendly. We had to put a despot down of £10 but this was fine and the staff were great organising this. Space is lovely and open, great social distancing measures put in place. Service was a little slow and It was hard to get their attention. Food was absolutely stunning! We had starters and mains and all were hot and fresh. The sharing lamb was amazing and their lasagna was fresh and perfectly balanced with cheese and sauce. Had a few issues with the bill- staff forgot to apply the eat out scheme discount, then then had to query bill as the despot I had already paid was not taken off the bill. Would highly recommend for food as it was stunning, despite a few staff issues, worth a visit.

This was our second visit in just over a week. The first resulted in no food as we had an outside table and it started raining heavily. Also they had run out of what we had ordered an hour earlier...not great but they were rushed off their feet due to the Eat out to help out scheme..Last night we returned (mainly due to not being able to find another restaurant which wasn’t fully booked). Are we glad we did??? What a difference! Fantastic service (Josie was fabulous)and the food AMAZING - the roast lamb absolutely stunning! Drinks great too...we couldn’t fault anything at all! Well done Brewstone - we will be back very soon!

We have visited this establishment a few times now and are yet to be overwhelmed with the food and experience. There was a pattern of mistakes which could have easily been avoided. My friends glass for her drink arrived dirty, along with our napkins for food. We had to ask for both to be changed. Myself and my partner ordered the small pots to share. For the price they were I would expect some more flavour and slightly bigger portions. Our friends ordered the lamb to share, one arrived along with the other parties’ food and we were told the other would not be long, even though we ordered the lamb to share. We had all finished our food by the time the second lamb came. The dish also had different ‘roasted vegetables’ to the first lamb that arrived, the first one had only roasted carrots and the second one had some roasted beetroots. When the bill arrived there was no suggestion for compensation, so we had to ask if we could have some discount. Although we used the eat out deal, for the price we were paying, it was unacceptable. Luckily the delayed lamb was taken off the bill after being requested. If it wasn’t for the waitress being so kind and apologetic, it would have been a worse experience. In my opinion, if you want people to come back, perhaps offer a discount or even a free drink for the person having to wait a long time. It shows that you are owning the mistake and look after your customers. Not in a rush to go back which is a shame.

Took advantage of the eat out to help out.On a rainy morning we booked a table (window view) for breakfast. We both ordered the £9.50 breakfast with freshly brewed coffee. The breakfast arrived, which was huge, piping hot and cooked to perfection. The breakfast was lovely only upstaged by the staff. The Italian lady (sorry didn’t get your name) was professional, with excellent customer service skills. Our lovely waitress Siobhan was again professional with great customer service skills and an ever ready smile.

The worst dining experience I have ever had. Absolutely abysmal all round. Zero communication, clearly greedily overbooked the restaurant. Kept using under staffed as an excuse, when in reality they had simply overbooked. Incompetent front of house with no customer service or communication skills. Left waiting an hour for the meal, when asked I was given no explanation at all. Walked out after an hour. We had booked for 7:30 and arrived on time, by now it was 9:30. It seems this was the case for the majority of people dining. No social distancing in place and an extremely chaotic and unenjoyable experience. It seemed not one member of staff had any training whatsoever. Complete disregard for the customer, only interested in manipulating the government scheme ‘Eat Out To Help Out’.

Phoned to book a table and was told it was all booked for 6.30pm. Great. Later I read the email confirmation that had been sent only to find my table had in fact been booked for 8.30pm instead! Phoned them back to be told that was all they had left now. Good job I had checked my emails before leaving. We decided to still go at 8.30pm even though this was a little late for us. When we arrived we had to queue for our table. It was rammed in there. Too many tables and not much social distancing. Once we were seated we waited 15 mins and nobody even asked us if we wanted a drink. We asked at the bar if someone could come take our order but still nobody came. We could then hear lots of people complaining that they had been waiting over 2 hours and they still hadn’t been served any food. Lots of tables were walking out so we decided against ordering and left. The menu has also changed and sadly all our favourites are no longer on there (chorizo, halloumi, olives, patatas bravas, chicken & avocado salad) They have all been replaced with fish dishes which are not to our taste. Really annoying as we had checked the menu online beforehand and I specifically asked on the phone about the menu when booking as some places are running limited menus at the moment and was told no it was the usual full menu! I understand that due to the ‘eat out to help out’ scheme places are busier, however don’t take so many bookings if you cannot cope with demand. It was way too full in there and the poor waitresses were running around like headless chickens. We were not advised when we were seated that they were running 2 hours behind and I think we should have been told this. By the time we realised it was too late to eat elsewhere. So disappointed as this was our first night out together since before lockdown and we didn’t even get an apology.

Absolutely awful experience. Advertised around 10 vegan options on their online menu which is why we dined there as a member of our group was a vegan, turned up and there was one. Apparently the manager hadn’t got round to updating the online menu. Ridiculous excuse in my eyes, as people choose to dine in a place based on a menu! It’s false advertising! Reluctantly decided to stay anyway, as we had gone out of our way to dine there, and we had to wait 30+ mins to be served. Ordered starters and waited 1 hour and half and they still hadn’t arrived. Absolutely awful, the staff didn’t seem to know what was going and didn’t seem to care either. We weren’t the only people in this situation, it seemed almost everyone else in the restaurant was in a similar position as well. A table next to us had been waiting 2 hours for their mains. We chose to leave after 1 and half hours before our starters had even arrived. We weren’t the only people who walked out either. I understand things are difficult due to covid , but the service was awful. I don’t normally posts reviews, but this was a terrible experience, will be avoiding at all costs.

Returning for the 1st time since lock down was a disappointment due to a new menu. From being a weekly visitor and being obsessed with all the food I was really disappointed to see almost the whole menu had been changed mainly the small pots. My favourites ( chorizo, halloumi, salted new potatoes & vodka pate) had all been replaced by many fishy dishes. We tried the mackerel pate and mushrooms. The mushrooms were lovely but only came two on a plate which didn’t seem good considering it was £5. Pate was more of just mashed mackerel and came with small bits of hard “bread” with holes in, more like a cracker. The only good point was that my favourite pizza (Spanish style) was still available and was delicious as ever. Sadly I dont think I will be returning anymore.

Booked a table in the restaurant for my wife's birthday during the first week return of indoor dining. In terms of Covid, Brewstone couldn't have been any safer. Screens between tables, tables regularly sanitised and the staff were superb throughout. The food was amazing as always with the menu updates providing loads of variety. We all opted for a range of small plates and wraps. They were all delicious with the only criticism being that the wraps are now made with normal tortillas rather than their amazing pizza dough.Their draught beer doesn't seem to be as good as before, with more standard lagers (Becks etc) and less craft beer (Yakima red), although hopefully this is just down to supply issues associated with Covid. After food and drinks we moved to the bar side of Brewstone. This is our favourite area and we stayed for another 4 hours. Tables are scrupulously cleaned and safety screens are between tables. Again, there is a lack of draught IPA, but still plenty of choice. The two guys behind the bar (not sure on their names) have to be the two best bar persons in Swansea. They are knowledgeable, funny, friendly and happy to talk to all people in the bar. They are one of the main reasons why Brewstone is our favourite place in Swansea. It's was good to see them still working in Brewstone as they would be a big loss. We ate and drank far too much during our 7 hour stay, but it was great to have some sense of normality again, and we can't wait to return and support our favourite local restaurant/bar

We visited Brewstone to celebrate a birthday and exam results. The booking system is very efficient. Table booked, deposit paid and an email sent explaining COVID 19 safety procedures. The staff were delightful. Fun and enthusiastic. The menu had been relaunched that evening so lots of chats about food recommendations. We had a cheeky cocktail to start with some small plates as appetizers. The main course was delicious and plentiful with interesting veggie options. Puddings essential. Thank you for a great evening were we felt cared for in such different times. One criticism....... bring back the flat bread. It was delicious and can’t be replaced with sourdough crisps.

Visited Swansea where my son is attending Uni. Found this place in Uplands area. Greeted as soon as we entered. Drinks and food order taken. Marinated chicken skewers and couscous with a side of salted new potatoes was delicious. My son had the classic pizza adapted for Vegas. Service not great after food served. No one checked all was ok or asked if we wanted more drinks or desserts. However this wouldn’t put me off going again as the food we had was good.

I haven't posted on tripadvisor for years, but after repeated awful experiences at Brewstone I feel I have to warn people. In its infancy it was quite good as a neighbourhood restaurant, with great staff, but for years now the attitude in the restaurant half of the operation has been what I can only describe as 'anti customer'. Go to Brewstone and you can expect (1) often a significant wait after entering before your presence is acknowledged (2) an agonising wait before anyone comes to take your order, even when it is quiet (3) an equally agonising wait for your drinks or food (4) huge difficulty getting anyone's attention when you want anything, esp the bill (5) an interminably long wait to pay. If at any stage you try to get the attention of a waiter you will get a strong sense that they are annoyed with you or, more likely, you will be ignored even after making eye contact with them. I find my blood pressure rising every time I go here and I think today was the final straw. Also the food strikes me as fairly well conceived but often poorly executed - very hit and miss. For example, in the past I've had a soup billed as having a poached egg in it served with a boiled egg, and regular veggie sausages served when Glamorgan sausages were promised. The most recent menu seems a bit better but not sure i will return to find out.

Our servers were extremely friendly and helpful as we were having a surprise birthday party and they were very accommodating. However the food took a while to come, even when we said when we wanted it, the tables took a long time to be cleared and people had to take their pudding home because it wasn’t brought out on time. There was also a lot of confusion when we came to pay. So lovely atmosphere, tasty food but considering we had to pay a huge deposit and pre order all our food, not timely service.

This place is usually good but tonight it was pretty awful. The chips were ‘chewy’!!! Like they had been cooked from the day before or at least half a dozen times. The onion rings were the same. The burger was okay if a bit over cooked and dry - also it would be nice to be able to choose, for example, lettuce AND tomato, etc. rather than having to choose one thing. I worked in fast food for years in a previous life and honestly? I’d be embarrassed to ask for more than a couple of quid.for that.
