Excellent pub with a great selection of cask and keg beers and six blinding ciders. Lovely relaxed atmosphere with helpful and friendly staff. Expertly run by the former manager of the Southampton Arms. Mr Nicholas Bailey

This place has a good selection of beers and caters for the trendy crowd. It is certainly shabby chic and rather ramshackle inside. Even so it is an interesting place with helpful staff so I shall return to eat in due course.

Order a take away, not all of it turned up Called and was told next time I order I will be looked after Next time I called I got a rude hipster who couldn’t care less Lost customer, which is a shame because this was the best burger in London, but not worth having to deal with the minimum wage wannabe on the phone

Beer range was great, staff could know more about the beer though and learn to give more accurate reviews and recommendations. Food was a little bland so I wouldn't bother again with the sides.

I have enjoyed some great local brews here. Service is good and prices comparable with some of the larger brewers and pubs.

Saw the pub was near to our holiday flat and the menu looked interesting. It was very busy but we managed to get a table. Food was sort of Vietnamese street food. Their bau buns were amazing and great value for money. Poteen was also excellent. After drinking in some of the large chain pubs in the area their beer selection was also superb. A great selection of local independent brews. If I lived in Crouch End it would be my local.

The Brave Sir Robin is a regular favourite of mine and currently my Sunday roast of choice venue in an area of many a good sunday roast. I've visited for grown-up evenings and lunches with kids and either way I've had a great time. The food is always good - both the evening and day time menus are imaginative and a little different than your usual pub fayre, the staff are always friendly, welcoming and knowledgeable... and they also make the best bloody mary in north London (IMHO)! The decor is understated and the music always good (but not so loud that you can't have a relaxed chat). In short I have nothing negative to say about this place, it's a favourite of mine, I'm a fan! - They do good things and they do them well. Keep up the greatness guys :)

Nice little local gem, hard to notice from the street as its all painted black, but once in its cosy and has at least 12 craft beers on tap, some good stuff from verdant and BBNo. Foods really good for pub food and decent price , had a huge plaice fillet with samphire and veg for £14, starter main and a beer all in for about £20. Good stuff.

Just what Crouch Hill needs! This bar has 11 lines of craft beer & loads of cider and cask beer options. The vibes are great too - the playlist hosted 4 of my favourite songs! I ate the Reyki burger - it was probably the best burger I've ever eaten. Id recommend you try the croquettes too. So good. Back to the beers! I tried 4 different halves that were all great before i realized they also sever 2/3 a pint. All beers can be ordered in 1/3, 1/2, 2/3 or pint. That's the real deal!. Defo be back for more good beers, tasty treats and viby vibez

This location has proved difficult and several places have come and gone on the site (for many years it was The Noble pub). I hope this new incarnation survives as they seem to have the recipe right. The interior can be a little “cold” but they have warmed it up with cosy furnishings and lighting. They have lots of different beers and the small plate food we had was excellent and very carefully prepared and presented. Impressive for “pub food”. It was a weekday evening and the place was almost full — mainly with the 20s and early 30-somethings who now throng Stroud Green. This place deserves to survive and thrive! (And they accept doggies...)

Stumbled across by accident and a really good find. In search of a place I'd been to a few years before, right near Crouch Hill station, I failed n locating where it was and deuces it may even have been the predecessor to whatever the BSR formally was. It was an unseasonally blistering Saturday in mid-April and I decided to give the BSR a try, having been lured in by some prominent street signage outside, promising craft beer which did the trick of luring me onto beery rocks in choppy ale waters like a modern-day suds siren, albeit not as attractive as the mythical creatures. Once inside, I thankfully wasn't run aground on rocky outcrops but rewarded with a large, fairly low-ceilinged room with the bar right at the far end. And instead of sirens singing it was the Doors, followed by some Hendrix so it had all also suddenly gone 1967. I was here for the beer and there was a really great choice available, both cask and keg, including Juicy by those Welsh wizards, Tiny Rebel. Lots of cans also available including some great beers by Leeds upstarts Northern Monk. Prices were in keeping with similar London operations so expect to pay about £4.20 upwards for a pint for cask with keg slightly higher but it's money well spent with all that fabulous range that you won't get anywhere else in the vicinity and even further afield. Staff were knowledgable, friendly and helpful and what with super Scandinavian food available as well, the BSR is a most welcome addition to the area and easy to reach. Excellent.

Can't rate The Angel enough! We visited last Sunday for Sunday lunch and were greeted with such warmth. The staff were so hospitable and the service was amazing. I had the nutroast which I can highly recommend, my hubby the pork belly and my daughter fish and chips. We also had the baked camembert as a sharing starter and it was incredible. The atmosphere is just what you want from a traditional London pub. Will definitely be visiting again. Thank you!

Extremely overpriced. I had a ceviche that was tiny and didn’t justify the £16 price tag and 3 glasses of 125ml very basic house wine at £8 a glass. The server seemed perplexed when I refused to pay a 12.5% service fee when I was sat outside and waited 10 minutes for each glass of wine. What a swizz.
