Brasserie Abode in Glasgow City

Good points: Good quality was high, and meals were tasty. Matching quality for price. Friendly and efficient service. Poor points: Uninspiring menu, especially for burns night. Small sized portions. Bill includes "mandatory service charge" which is always something I find rude.

We enjoyed a Jazz Supper for the second time this year. The food and service were excellent as was the live music provided by Euan Stevenson (piano) and Konrad Wiznieski (tenor sax). Just a shame that the hotel doesn't seem to want to publicise the wonderful artists who perform there.

Had a Gin tasting cocktail session with 5 course meal. Fantastic venue, great service, lovely food.

Chicken Kiev was exceptionally dry. Some burnt crumbs from the toaster were drizzled over the top instead of being cooked in breadcrumbs. Get disappointed. Green beans were fat too salty.

Went for an afternoon tea there using groupon voucher, which was pretty decent value for money. It is located in the hotel and feels a bit posh. Afternoon tea was lovely enjoyed it a lot.
