Food for a grab and go lunch or quick dinner. The team were a bit unhelpful in explaining some things to our first timer group, and I didn't seem too keen on having guests on this particular evening, but one server made up for this by being twice as helpful and generally a cheery human.

My boyfriend and I ordered food from here recently and had a terrible experience. When we showed up to collect the food we were ignored for at least 10 minutes waiting by the door. The restaurant was not busy and the staff were all talking in the corner. They did look over and notice us but never came to see if we needed help. When someone finally came over to help we were told they hadn’t made our order and that they cancelled it because they were out of what we had ordered. I’m not one to leave reviews but we never even got notified that it was cancelled and the man that told us it had been cancelled was also very rude. We also got no assistance in how to get our refund. We were both very disappointed as we like yo sushi, but after this we will not be back.

My husband and I went to the Sushi School where you are led through how to make various types of sushi rolls. Our chef Mario was very knowledgeable and it was a very fun and hands on experience. We ended up with LOADS and Mario kindly cut the rolls and packaged them up for us to take home. We would highly recommend it!!

We had lunch here during a recently trip to Glasgow. The food was really good. Great and friendly service. We had to wait about 5 minutes for a table but that was no big deal. The sushi was very good as was the rice bowls (I had one with beef). Great atmosphere. We really enjoyed our visit and the wonderful food.

Regular visitors to Yo Sushi Braehead and service excellent. Visited the Glasgow restaurant and was extremely disappointed to say the least. The restaurant was fairly quiet yet we’re told we would need to wait 10 minutes to be seated. After 15 minutes we were told they were too busy to seat us and it would be another 30-40 minutes even though there were many available seats including the full bench area that we were told couldn’t be opened as there were only 2 members of staff serving. An absolute disgrace and wouldn’t go back. Staff looked happy to have no customers to serve.

We have been going to Yo! for years, it has been our preferred choice for special occasions as we all loved the food. Recently the food has lost it's edge, rice cooked too long, menu items not available or favourites removed. On our last visit we found the food had become very salty, this is contrary to how the food is normally presented. A new menu item was cod prepared in a crispy batter, the batter had salt crystals through, every other bite would add a blast of raw salt to your pallet, not a pleasant experience. The batter also had 'whispy' tails, whilst this looks nice on the plate it does make for painful eating, the whisps were very hard indeed, so much so that one became lodged in my throat for a good 5 minutes. I do hope Yo! do well, although it's unlikely that we will go back anytime soon.

Below average in my opinion. We got ramen. I had see food one but my problem was that i had few shrimps two pieces of squid and rest of it was salmon. Broth itself was a bit bland.I was expecting something more than that comparing to other really good places. In my opinion not worth of it's price. Portion was also quite small. We also took few of the conveyor belt plates and it was alright but quite pricey for what it offers. We have also ordered two sushi plates and that was way overpriced for quantity. My biggest turn off was service charge. Don't get me wrong I do tip if it's deserved. Problem was that I was bot informed about that and I found out about it when I asked for receipt. Man told me it standard. Even for standard from customer point of view it should be clear for me to know and to be informed what I'm paying for. As far as I know worker should be paid by company not by begged so called service charge. Not coming back to that place especially if there are few other much more authentic places in a few minutes distance from there that offers better food and has more authentic Asian climate.

The waiter did not inform us that the service charge was added to the receipt, he did not even ask if he could do it. I have nothing against it, but I would like to ask for it to be added myself and not be forced to do it. After our intervention, the gentleman removed it from the bill, but if I had not asked for the receipt, I would not have been aware of it.

the food was good but i think the prices were far too high. they also said get like 8 pieces of maki for 3.39 £ and then it felt cheap but they were outrageously small! it’s just better to serve bigger pieces and take more money for it. the girl who served us was very nice to us so that’s a plus! but not authentic at all sadly, which not is surprising considering it’s a restaurant chain. (which we didn’t know). i wouldn’t go back considering the high prices but if ur rich and just wanna eat some good sushi quickly then maybe this is the place for u :)

I have no issue with the staff or the food here it’s fantastic and I always recommend it. My issue is with the Uber eats driver HASSAN who ignored my contact attempts and left my food at the wrong address. I had to then go over to try and retrieve it only to find out it wasn’t there either. This man spoke to me on the phone then started saying “no English and hung up on me”. I tried contacting Uber to sort it out as well but I just want to warn anyone else. If you want YO! Then go to them or order through another medium.

I haven't been to a YO! Sushi for almost a decade and for what it is, it's quite expensive. We only had 6 dishes between us, none of which was the most expensive plate from the conveyor belt and only 1 of the second most expensive ones, the rest was the lower range of prices. Six small plates and 4 small beers came to over £60. All I could think was we could have had 4x delicious 12" stonebaked pizzas and 3-4 large craft beers across the street for the same price. Poor value for money, as the food is almost entirely just rice. But as sushi goes, it tastes good.

Upon our visit to yo! Glasgow, we were seated immediately by a server and asked if we had any allergies. We both worked for yo! and now own a yo! franchise so we know what to expect from a good restaurant. Looking into the kitchen, none of the chefs (apart from one girl with hair on her face) was wearing a hair net. Bandanas just around their head and one was even wearing a durag. We stayed for around 25 minutes and didn’t hear a hand timer. What I thought was the manager came downstairs and didn’t question it, so I’m assuming this is the norm for this restaurant. Looking at the belt, the quality of the rolls were generally bad- staff definitely need more training. But the most concerning thing of all, we picked off a Kaiso salad off the belt and saw it 100% had salmon juices on the bottom. There was no carrot in this dish or su-miso as there should be, so no orange liquid should’ve been present anyway. But carrot still wouldn’t make these marks on the dish. As you can see from the photo, it’s an oily orange colour like I have seen plenty of times from salmon yo dishes. This is an urgent allergen issue and I hope this is investigated fully. Very disappointing visit, especially as this is another bad representation of the Yo! Brand.

Went for the bottomless belt and thought it was a great deal! £29.95 for all you can eat off the belt, we definitely got our moneys worth. Our server was lovely but I would say that the roughly 20% service charge they automatically add on the bill was quite steep, especially since apart from water we were serving ourselves as we just took stuff off the belt. I will always tip in places and would never ask for a service charge to be removed unless it was terrible service but it did feel like a really high amount.

Overpriced and not worth the money. It does have the fancy interior, but the food itself comes in a small size for quite a bit of money, even though the taste doesn't justify the price. I also faced the unfriendly stuff that doesn't really look at clients or speak to them, which was unfriendly and unwelcoming. I wouldn't go there again.

I visited Yo! Glasgow last night (Sunday evening) for the Osaka menu after seeing an advert in the window while shopping earlier in the day. It was my final evening in the city, and I was looking forward to a special dining experience. Upon arrival, I was only given the standard food menu. When I enquired about the Osaka menu, the staff member initially responded curtly, saying there was no separate menu for the evening. Before I could finish clarifying my request, she interjected, stating that there is an evening menu, but it is not different. She then reluctantly brought me the Osaka menu. Despite the initial confusion and less-than-friendly service, the food was good and offered good value for money. However, the manner in which I was spoken to left me feeling disappointed. Had I known about the service beforehand, I would have chosen another Japanese restaurant in the area!

The service was really terrible. A memeber of Slstaff made me and my family feel like an annoyance as soon as we stepped in. The staff got the order wrong 3 times. And other times ignored me when I asked for attention. They told me I hadn't ordered an item even though they confirmed it with me. Quite upset as this was my son's birthday treat and he was very excited. Though a staff member did apologise for the mistake, overall a very disappointing experience.

Staff don’t know how to open on time?? If your opening time is 11, I don’t mind a bit of a wait of course if the circumstances are right. However, standing 12 mins after you were meant to open is ridiculous. We saw 8 people come and attempt to get in while your doors were closed DURING YOUR OPENING TIMES ADVERTISED, and that’s not even including the two of us.

Second visit today, really enjoyed it last time we went. So disappointed today. Slow service, hardly a thing on the conveyor, the same 3 bowls just going round and round. Then it was topped up with a couple of sushi dishes and a bunch of prawn crackers... Preferred being able to order on the app, it was much quicker and you could order a few things at different times. Staff seemed like they could not be bothered and there were things missing from our ramen. Such a shame as we absolutely loved it the last time we went. Really don't think we will return.

AVOID!! The food is very poor quality and neither I, nor my partner could finish our meals. They put Siracha sauce on everything even though it was not explicitly stated on the menu. The salmon was not fresh, (clearly defrosted and had an off-putting soft/mushy texture. To the extent that we did not this it was a good idea to eat it. A complete waste of money, steer clear. Had we dined in the restaurant, I would have asked for my money back but we had a takeaway so did not have the chance to explain how terrible the food was directly. I do not normally leave bad reviews but I feel compelled to let other know so they can avoid the experience we just had.

We sat at the bar table, taking pictures of the sushi and meals we ate, and took selfies after finishing our meals. Suddenly, one of the female chef with a pissed-off face demanded we apologize, apparently thinking we were taking pictures of them. She even told me that she had been observing us for a long while. After checking my iPhone photo gallery, she realized her mistake and left without apologizing for her false accusations. She then loudly discussed cultural differences with her colleagues. My friends and I were extremely annoyed by her rude attitude and the poor customer service, especially after spending over £70 there. As loyal customers of YO!, we don't think we deserve such treatment. On a positive note, the branch at Birmingham New Street has always been great. The staffs there are nice, without stereotypes, and provide excellent service. We've visited many times and always had a good experience. Shame on the Glasgow branch for letting us down.

I recently visited Yo Sushi and had an incredibly disappointing experience. The customer service was abysmal—staff were inattentive and unhelpful, making us feel like an inconvenience rather than valued customers. To make matters worse, the food was subpar. Anytime we tried ordering something especially popular dishes like chicken katsu they didn’t have it in stock?! We ordered four different chicken dishes and they had not one in stock especially on Father’s Day I thought it would have been fully stocked for the occasion!! The overall quality did not justify the high prices. I left feeling thoroughly dissatisfied and will not be returning. I would not recommend Yo Sushi to anyone looking for a pleasant dining experience.

I was in there a few days ago and was served by Rachael - she was super helpful and was more than happy to explain the menu to me because I struggled to find something I'd like, everything was delicious and the service was really fast, the conveyor belt is a very fun aspect of the experience. The only thing I can complain about is that it's small portions for a large price, but Rachael also let me know that there is a student discount which made a difference :) Overall great service, thank you!

Went today with my friend and we were over charged significantly, which unfortunately we did not realise until we left as we split the bill between us both. We had 3 plates off the menu and 6 from the conveyerbelt, but were charged for 12 off the belt. We had to ask for the bill twice and we think this is where the error occurred, the first server acknowledged out request for the bill, clicked some buttons on her tablet after looking at out coloured plates and left without saying anything. She did not come back to finalise the bill but instead went to tidy some dishes. The second server we asked got the bill after another wait, its worth noting the restaurant wasn't busy this was around 4pm. We ended up being charged £90 pounds in total, 45 each, for 9 smaller dishes and two drinks. When we realised after leaving we didn't feel we could go back as by that point the dishes would have been cleared so we couldn't prove what we had ordered. When we were paying, we asked to split the bill and were not told what the total would be or what our half would be, we were simply given the ipad on the contactless screen and since we had alrwsdy been waiting over 20 mins to pay since first asking we were already in a rush to meet our train. We only noticed after when checking the receipt we had been charged double the number of dishes from the belt. Word of advice, don't trust the servers to tally your orders correctly!

Some reviews are a bit off putting - however my kids insisted on coming here. The food was ok - I agree the sushi is a bit bland - I prefer the Braehead Yo Sushi for actual sushi. The hot street food style choices were better. The service was fine. The ladies toilets were pretty grim. One had been vomited in the other was err .. dirty. The roll of toilet paper was on the floor. Plus the stairs to the toilets had something (food I'm hoping) trodden into them. Wouldn't personally choose to come back.

Food tasted wonderful but the restaurant wasn't as clean as it should be. We were originally given sauce covered menus but the waitress switched it out. The tables were covered in random sticky spots and the water glasses didn't look like they were cleaned. The waitress smelled like she hadn't showered in weeks either, ruined the mood. The kitchen seemed to be the only clean part of the restaurant

Came in for a takeaway and there was nothing in the fridge, asked if I could order to takeaway and was directed to the iPad/self service. Waited on my order for some time then asked if the order had definitely went through. Was told I was just supposed to take it from the fridge. I then said what I ordered isn’t in the fridge. I was then given what I had ordered from a huge pile of boxed sushi that had been sitting on a counter since I came in that wasn’t refrigerated. No idea how long all of those boxes had been sitting there and the box didn’t feel cold so personally didn’t feel safe eating it. disappointed.

I left disappointed due to the bad service at YO!. After 20 minutes of waiting for a canned drink, we flagged down a waiter to enquire if we would receive our drinks soon, to which they replied "oh yeah I still have them there" - an apology for the delay and for forgetting would have been appreciated... Waiters would also just look at their phones when we would ask them a question, with no eye contact, and speaking so quietly that we could not hear what was said, especially due to them not facing us when speaking, due to the devices. Components of the dish were also forgotten - the menu said an item would be served with slaw, which was forgotten from the dish. After mentioning this to a waiter, they went back into the kitchen and served us a bowl of plain, dry shredded cabbage - the menu said this side would be served with dressing. We weren't sure what to do with a bowl of unseasoned shredded cabbage, and received no apology for the missing items either.

Miserable staff and portion sizes, bland ramen, no wasabi. I should have crossed the road to Nippon kitchen. I used to enjoy taking my kids here, I won't be back in a hurry.

Received a delivery for lunch at work and was very disappointed. Was meant to be a treat for a coworker leaving. Sushi wasn't fresh and didn't include wasabi, ginger or soy sauce. The Katsu Curry also was bland, soggy and sauce was as thick as water. Very poor food quality. A shame as YoSushi used to be so good but that's a good 10 years ago now.

Terrible experience recently, ordered two Chicken Katsu curry from Uber eats and they had no sauce, no flavour and the chicken was terribly dry. Contacted Uber which did nothing about it and also contacted Yo! Via their online form and never heard anything back, total waste of money.

The beef was so tough that some of it was inedible. Tiny portions for the price. Harsh bright lighting made for zero atmosphere.

J'ai trouvé que nous avons payé très cher pour ce que nous avons mangé. Ce n'était pas mauvais mais les portions sont très petites pour le prix. De plus, tout ce qui était sur la carte n'était plus disponible et, comme il restait 30 min d'ouverture, on nous a averti qu'il ne serait possible de passer qu'une seule commande... Nous avons payé le même prix dans un autre restaurant japonais de gamme supérieure et nous avions bien davantage en quantité

I don’t drink but I went out as a lookout for friends since I’ve just moved. shots look cheap enough but the atmosphere was dead and when I went into the bathroom some lady gave me two lollipops and asked me to contribute and asked for 5 pounds from me which is ridiculous and tried to take 10£ from me . I did call her out and payed the 5 because I am just nice . But I just don’t understand why anyone would let scammers like that in the bathroom . Ruined my night as I was not trying to spend money because I just moved and need to pay my rent soon .
