Went here as it was just off oxford street and were looking for some cocktails. The place is lovely but the cocktails were the most disgusting ive ever tried and they were totally overpriced.

We had the tasting menu and the wine pairing, the food was excellent but the wine was terrible. 2 of the first 3 wines were almost undrinkable, we stopped the pairing at that point and switched to a bottle from the wine menu which was fine but over priced.

Had read about Bossa and set expectations accordingly. We had lunch here and our starters were good, mixing subtle flavours to highlight the main ingredient, mussels and octopus. Our mains were equally good, with refined references to Brasilian heritage. We asked for some wine pairings and lady with Welsh/Argentinian roots was on the money, then Ms Aoki took over for our mains pairings. My advice is ask for price points for each :) Desserts were light and perfectly textured with Brasilian fruits. Overall a good culinary journey. Next time we might stop by to try the cocktails.

The restaurant it is a modern / european style for Brazilian dishes / cuisine product. Located besides the Brazilian consulate as well with a team of Brazilians working there. Already a cool place to go. The restaurant has a modern minimalist design with the kitchen open. There are sits by the kitchen counter. A nice bar style seating where you can also enjoy your meal. The team behind the bar it is super friendly. Me an my friend stayed hours talked to the 3 Brazilian guys that were working on the Friday night we were there. Their cocktail menu brings some tradicional Brazilian drinks with some twist. I got impressed they have cupuaçu juice (a special fruit from northeast Brazil). I really enjoyed my mocktail with it. The drinks are average prices for this places £17 most of them. The wines by the glass were really expensive. Average £20 for 125ml. This was a chock for me. The food menu has an impressive combination of Brazilian traditional cuisine presented to an European style way. My friend and I got the tapioca with bone marrow. We didn’t like as it aS just a lot of fat. But the tapioca bread was amazing. She went for a seabass and I went for the pork loin / feijoada. OMG. Just divine. It felt like being back home. I said to the guys at the bar that if they provided rice as a side they would make all Brazilians happy. The flavour of the black beans were amazing. And most I just eat the one I cook. The pork was beautifully made. No words to describe. As a side I got the cassava mash. Another moment it felt like home. I got for dessert the egg and coconut custard (quindim). It was nice, but I like this dessert more when it is ready soft. This one was too dry. I would not recommend. But things I would check it is the cupuaçu cheesecake. Also the crab and açai pastel for starter. Definitely go with pork for main. I will definitely go back there.

TLDR; This restaurant is great, the setting is very comfortable and relaxing, but stylishly designed. Drinks are superb and the food really sings. The staff are very friendly and attentive but not stuffy, always a big smile. It's not cheap but it's not horrendously expensive! If this place doesnt have a star within 12 months I'd be amazed! Fill review: We ate at Bossa last weekend and wow, what a meal. Given the reviews and awards for the owners restaurant in Rio, we expected it to be great and it did not disappoint. The bread (yes, bread) was really good, a little chew to the crust, nice and salty, matched well with oil rather than butter. Whilst noshing on the bread and browsing the menu we had a caipirinha and a Mezscladinha, both were very good, not cheap (typical London £18/19 for a small but potent glass of joy) but a very very good caipirinha which is my go to favourite cocktail and the Mezscladinha was amazing - think caipirinha that has been sat by the fire (I need the "recipe"!!!). We settled on the Scallops to kick off, the starters are designed to be shared with a couple of different dishes but we both wanted the scallops so had a dish each.... Wow, really fresh, large high quality scallops, cooked perfectly and served with a lovely sauce with leeks, we paired these with a Brazilian orange wine because.. When in Rome (kind of); made with the trebbiano grape it was a gorgeous wine with vintage English cider on the nose and a fresh clean taste that worked perfectly with the scallops, we enjoyed it so much we stayed with it and had a couple more glasses with our main courses. Octopus and beefshort rib mains were very very nice and very rich. This was followed by dessert of a chocolate tart for my partner and coconut and egg custard for me, both again very nice and the sommelier perfectly matched a sweet wine for mine that had a clean sweetness that complimented the dessert without being cloying. All of the food is quite salty (which I enjoy) but I believe this to be a Brazilian approach to seasoning which points towards the authenticity of the dishes rather than adapting to UK/European tastes; it is never unappetising. It was a great meal and we really enjoyed this new gem in the city.

Great experience at Bossa. Staff are friendly and welcoming as well as professional in their service. There is an open kitchen and counter dining for those who wish to see the chefs at work. We sat in the main dining room which had a beautiful ambience. We tried a few different dishes and loved them all. I would highly recommend trying the Red Prawns.

A triumph! From the moment we arrived to the moment we left, it was an amazing evening. The waiting staff couldn’t have been more attentive but discreet, the food was to die for (scallops are a must, so much so I wanted to order for all 3 courses). But every dish of every course was superb, and the staff incredibly knowledgeable on all the ingredients. My partner is very much into his wine but there were many he hadn’t even heard of/tried but Louise the sommelier took us on an incredible journey each glass complimented the food perfectly. Just made for a wonderful evening, and is a fantastic addition to the London landscape. A complete triumph from “the beginning” to “the end”, thank you.

Why this restaurant isn’t on everyone’s radar is beyond me. We were lucky enough to walk passed it the other evening on our way into Mayfair and decided to pop in and boy did we luck out. There is nothing outside to indicate it’s a restaurant just the name on the door but luckily the door was open so we thought we would take a look, walking inside the setting the atmosphere and the service was incredible. Amazing welcome, only matched by the food, best meal we have had in London bar none scallops to die for and the seafood moqueca was best I have ever had. The place is a complete triumph.

I really wanted to like this. The place looks like a million dollar in a nondescript international could be anywhere kinda way. The service is attentive, maybe trying to push certain dishes a bit too much, "you must try the scallops" by three different people. But where it all falls down is the food. Certainly pleasant, nicely presented but nothing that justifies the ambitious price tag. All of this is made worse by the puny portions. Brazilian food might be many things but tiny portions isn't normally a feature. The £49 seafood moqueca was around 75 grams of seafood in a moderately interesting stew, the pork belly whilst perfectly nice, was basically two bites of meat. Overall a £340 pound meal for two, with 5 pretty good cocktails but London has so many more amazing restaurants that I struggle to see how they will survive unless they change things up a bit. Or maybe there are enough people that will go for looks over substance and they might well love this place.

The best açaí in all of London. I’m obsessed. My absolute favourites are the ‘nutty heaven’ açaí bowl with strawberries and almond butter instead of peanut butter & the ‘forever young’ juice. The team are also lovely & always really friendly, especially at the Soho & Victoria branches.
