Born Appetite in West Somerset

It was a busy day in Dunster and many of the pubs fully booked but this was a fantastic find so I’m glad that was the case! Relaxed cafe atmosphere and a warm welcome in this converted chapel. We opted for the sharing platter and noodles with crispy pork - all exquisitely cooked and therefore hugely enjoyable. A cream tea was a must (it was Christmas afterall) - and delighted the scones came warm with a generous helping of clotted cream. Tea served in quaint old fashioned tea cups with a teapot. Also a fabulous selection of gins including output of the on site distillery- and samples were generously offered. A very reasonably priced lunch - just over £50 for 3 main meals, 3 soft drinks, 2 cream teas and a coffee. So both an absolute find and great value for money. We will definitely return.

A very friendly and welcoming restaurant. We ordered a sharing platter which was quickly delivered to our table. There was an excellent description of the contents and the dips that went with it. It was a delicious lunch and we will most certainly return again.

Delicious food. Highly recommended 👌 🇵🇭 Their special filipino beef steak was the best. We'll definitely comeback to this place.

A very interesting place! The building itself contains the cafe, a gift shop and a distillery/ gin shop. You can browse these while waiting for your food! The food was good and had lots of veggie options :)

Absolutely amazing food. I love it here, their noodles & pork crackling is gorgeous Often come here alone or with a friend, the staff are lovely, coffee is smooth and their own gin is stunning. Seek it out, you won't be sorry
