Bombay Indian Cuisine in Walsall

Came here tonight in the hope that it’s good as we have just moved in to the area and we all love Indian cuisine. Well….service, food, staff, everything was brilliant. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The food was hot and very tasty !! Will definitely be back.

I've just had a delivery from Bombay the old Cardadom Spice. Probably the worst Curry me and my family have ever had. I say had, most went straight in the bin. I have been before since Zaf passed away and to be honest it was nice. Whoever is cooking that tonight needs shooting. Does anyone know an alternative curry house to use. I've just had to order Pizza instead tonight. So that's £72.56 on 2 for 1 meal tonight. DiscoStu

Ordered for delivery. The food was amazing and tasted very fresh. Lots of big chunks of meat. I also had the special naan, best one i ever tasted. I will definitely order again. Highly recommend.

Great value for money and friendly staff , good food .

Two of us on a Friday evening at 18:30. We have not been here since the new management and were pleasantly surprised. Clean and tidy. Staff were great, attentive and welcoming. Even checked if we were warm enough which is very thoughtful. Napkin laying, removing unwanted glasses and hot towels, these things for me are what makes a massive difference on the whole experience. Now, onto the food. Poppadoms and dips great. Starters let them down a little. Onion baji a little flat and doughy and sheesh kebab could have been warmer. Mains, the dishes we had were great my only critique was that I had a tawa and for me should come out sizzling and steaming but sadly did not. Naans great rice great. They do have a license so please support them and don’t take your own booze and drinks. Will we be returning? With service and main meals like that, we certainly will be.

I tried this place this evening, i heard they are new managers so I thought I give it a go.. chicken madras, chicken balti nan , chappitti, rice .... to be fair I really enjoyed it . It was tasty food , I will definitely use again but next time I go, I'm going to eat in ... all credit to the chef .. Nice food.

Had a beautiful meal here tonight. Very tasty. Friendly chatty staff. Great service. Busy but not over busy. The towa special was very good. The KP bombay was delicious.

Good food and service. Busy so pick times carefully. I travel a lot in India and this food is authentic with chef willing to cook off menu if you have a specific request.

Lovely Indian food served by friendly staff. Rather a broad menu but will prepare what you want off menu if requested. Parking behind but also available on road.

We have always had our Indian takeout from Cardoman Spice and always had a lovely meal. Since it has changed hands we haven't ordered anything from there up till now. Very dissatisfied and disappointed. Chips and rices were cold. Chicken tikka passanda was runny and tasted like salt, curries were runny also no vegetables in them, these too were cold. Did not taste like curries at all. I phoned them to complain and they resent some of the meal out to which was no better. I told the delivery driver he could take it back and get them to try it !!!!!!!. He told me that they were the same chefs just different owners !!!!. I don't think so, will not be ordering from there again !!!!!!!!!

Just taken over and the new team seem friendly and food was great. Good luck for the future, will visit again soon.

We were regulars at Cardomon Spice however when it was taken over, each time we went in, there were small fruit flies everywhere so we stopped dining there. Last night, about a year after having eaten there, we ordered a takeaway from there. To say we were disappointed was a huge understatement! The food was watery and had absolutely no flavour at all. It was poorer quality than we ever could have imagined with no spice, flavour or substance to any of the dishes. We will never use them again! What a terrible shame!

Ordered a takeaway last Sunday this is the worst curry i have ever had in my life the starter were full of food colouring and so were my masala chips which should come with masala on them not food colouring powder

The service could of been better. Waited 5minutes for a table & the restaurant only had 6 people in there (on the same table) The toilets where shocking. Never been cleaned the bin was spilling on to the floor no toilet paper & smelled. Makes you wonder what the kitchen is like

Only used the take away service. Food excellent, the same good quality and taste every time. The service on time. They say ten minutes it is ten minutes. They say twenty and it was just twenty. Love it love it love it!

Shocking service. Booked a table for 7.30pm still no food at 9pm. Don't know what time the food would arrive as there were 2 other tables ahead of us who were also thinking of walking. I asked the waiter at 8.30pm when our food would arrive, he said he would check and then dissappear never to be seen again. To be honest all the waiting staff had disappeared because the front of house was in melt down. As we left we spoke to a person on the front desk who said it was Saturday and busy. We stated that they should not take bookings if they cannot cope. I stated that I had been coming for 15 years and never seen it like this. It has been taken over, unfortunately for the worse. This used to be a good local restaurant who valued their customers. Not no more! People ordering takeaways were being prioritised over the restaurant and only waited 20 mins and had something to eat, not sitting wasting life for over an hour and half. Went to dixiechick3n in the end to get food. They need to sort it quickly and reach out to their customers who have walled out otherwise they will lose the very customers thar keep them where they are. Don't think we will here from them as they appear to above themselves but more importantly their customers who keep them in business.

Just had a meal delivered, cost £28 gave £30. Must say we will never order from here ever again. The food was swimming in water and tasteless. Ordered a King Prawn and Chicken Balti, no prawns in sight. The majority of it went in the bin.

Food is gorgeous as usual, been using for 15 years, not sure If have been taken over recently took over 2 hours to arrive, I ordered 3 poppadoms, lime pickle and extra mint sauce. Only thing delivered was curry x 2 ,rice x1 and 1x naan bread, pretty disappointing.

2 hours we waited for delivery!! It took me ringing again to ask where my order was!! when the order got delivered , it was wrong and cold!!! £36 wasted!!! There excuse was : "they were busy" !!! Don't take delivery orders then!!!

The food was tasty and the service friendly. I enquired about the Masala Fish which is listed under the tandoori section of the menu. I was expecting fish cooked in the tandoor but got coated fried fish. It was very tasty but I couldn't eat it as I am trying to lose weight. The daal was lovely

We have have been using Cardomon Spice for quite a while now. After many years of using other Balti restaurants in my area it was purely by chance that I found out that the previous owner of my all time favourite Balti house in Chasetown that has now closed and had houses built on the site was now the owner of Cardomon Spice in Brownhills. So glad that we found them again food and service is always excellent and the restaurant is clean, laid out good and nicely decorated. If you forget your drinks or need more there's an Aldi right opposite. 5 stars all round

Really disappointed with the just eat delivery recently. Tikka masala wasn't really a tikka masala. It was purple and felt like it had coconut powder added. The food was also dripping in oil. Very disappointed. If you want good food, don't order takeaway from them. Just eat in their place because their food directly from the kitchen is delicious.

Enter Cardamon Spice ...a Wonderful experience overall... Beautiful ambience... Prompt personalized service... Sumptuous food.. which was not only a visual treat but also a treat for the taste buds. Each dish was done authentically right from the starters to the main course. .. keeping the delicate flavors on board .....very impressive.. the mix grilled platter was irresistible...the best mughlai food we have had in UK so far... the staff was highly courteous n full of warmth...worth a visit...

Second time I've been here with in the past few months with a big group so had more than enough chance to rectify issues but seems this place has gone downhill food was poor and due to been in a big group we got to experience different things on the menu lots of comments on how poor then to square up the bill clear overcharge and the owner put it down to the poppadoms been £1.50 which came at the start of our meal and was not ordered never mind not all eaten still dont see how that equated to a £40 over charge never the less we squared up the bill and Shall not be returning

Always enjoyed your curry for years... but tonight my tikkka curry was runny not creamy and not many spices at all wasn't nice .Also the rice was stody and no flavour pluss no popadoms onions or dip witch use to be free pluss keen naan didn't have much meat at all but lots of chilli was not impressed at all going other place from now on ...

Cardomon Spice is the Best Indian Restaurant (and Takeaway). Zaff, Ali, Ash and Chef are all just wonderful people, and the food is exceptional. I can well recommend the Chicken Tikka Masala, Chicken Tikka Madras and the Chicken and Mushroom Balti. X

Everyone I spoke to in the area said this was the best curry house , so thought I'd give it a go, bearing in mind indian is my my favourite takeaway and I'm hard to pls, Food was 10/10, delivery was on time (do recommend ordering early tho as they do get busy) ,food was pipping hot and portions good standard. Chicken tikka seasoned perfect and Mint sauce that comes with it best iv ever had. The wife was the quietest she's ever been while eating hers so she must of enjoyed it also.

Average indian food, quite cramped and noisy

Plenty of meat in the curry but very dry.a tesco £1-60 curry is far better.WONT be using these again.

Evening folks,have been looking for a decent indian curry house for over 3 years....tried various ones in the surrounding area,being a Brum lad we like our curries lol...then?tonight!on the off chance we fancied a curry...the wife can be fussy.Well?the food was ordered...came within 40 minutes...driver got lost but hes a good lad(lee)...the food?omg absolutely gorgeous not had a curry like that in years...highly recommended and will use again.

Delivery was on time but the chicken chat starter was dry no taste had one bite and can honestly say the worst chicken chat i have had. Then went on to my main which was south indian garlic chilli and again it was terrible just tasted like pure garlic sauce and the chicken didnt taste like chicken luckily i had a keema cheese naan which was great so that was my meal for the night.will not be ordering again.

Food wasn't very warm and the egg in the nargis was black. Chips were all soggy and stuck to the bag. Not had 1 from there 4 a while. I remember y now Tried it again but it was still disgusting. Never had a curry that just tastes of mint and vinegar

Visited with a large party food ok but portions to small one small bowl of rice between 2 people.a bit expensive . drinks.very exspensivecost £25 a head.

Had a fabulous curry delivered within 40 min food hot and delicious highly recommend hats off to this establishment see you soon

Something has changed, i would always recommend this curry house but the portions have gone smaller and not as nice. I prefer Masala Club Stonnal.

Best Indian restaurant in the Walsall area. Good food and wonderful staff.

Food was ok. Part of a frying pan handle was in one of the meals and no apology was received

Had a curry it was ok lot of water in the curry ok if you are hungry and if there is no other Indian around. The rest of the comments are not true. I will not go there again.
