Second time I have made an order with this restaurant for home delivery and they got it wrong. Called the restaurant last week and I was told specifically I'd receive my missing paid for items next time I order. Disappointed

If you like Sugar and salt this is the place for you. Tried a few dishes, all cream sauces taste the same and loaded with sugar. Pakora loaded with salt. Shame this place has declined, their curry sauce used to be the best years ago under the hotel, now everything is loaded with sugar and salt. Hope this place gets its self back to the good old days. Also they own the carry out at Hardgate cross besotted McHughs Estate agents, there are much better places like Rajani in Bearsden who deliver and don’t do re-heats even with the starters. They also don’t use colouring and their prawns are much larger. Hope the Bombay sort themselves out and get back to the good old days and cut back on colouring and additive’s and sugar & salt. Fresh and no more reheats will get you back to the best in Clydebank. Please do it !!

I ordered a take away last night from deliveroo. For starters I had chicken wings which had too much food colouring even after washing your hands the colouring will still be on your hands. For main course I had chicken bhoona and chicken dopiyaza chicken on both the dishes wasn't fresh and had a bad smell, the curries didn't taste any good and was very disappointing. The chicken fat wasn't even taken of the chicken and still had bits on it. The whole meal was thrown away and the only thing that wasn't was naan breads.

Once my meal of choice the Pedramit special used to be excellent, got it this weekend with pakora and a man bread, and it was a total waste of money, I keep trying and trying this place as it used to be good in the boulevard, but now it’s totally run down and not worth your hard earned cash for a disappointing meal, Nan was not cooked properly, still doughy, pakora I can only assume had been made 20 minutes before everything else was ready and left lying, and the speciality dish of my main course was nothing like usual. This is the last straw, as a customer for well over 15 years, I will Not be back ... sorry.

The chicken madras had nice chicken in it but the sauce was simply hot with no flavour to it. The rice was nice. The worst was the garlic naan. Has to be one of the worst ever. A good selection of chicken and lamb dishes regularly topped up. Various cakes to pick from to finish. £13.95 for 3 courses Saturdays cheaper week days. There was also a drinks package running £16.95 for two drinks and buffet or £19.95 for four drinks and buffet. Bright restaurant, friendly staff. The Bombay Grill hosted a family day on 28 December from 4pm onwards with a local magician to keep the kids entertained. It was a fabulous idea and I hope they repeat it. For some reason though, even with the entertainment laid on, not every table was taken. More marketing/word of mouth needed for the restaurant which is the old Indian which was in the boulevard hotel, now moved to the site of the former new crest palace which shut down years ago at hardgate cross. You wouldn't meet nicer people than the staff at the Bombay Grill. They do everything to ensure you have had a nice time. The food is freshly cooked, and even if you have the indian buffet, they freshly prepare your starters and naan breads for you. Kids meals are lovely too. Seating is modern leather booths and smaller intimate tables in the middle of the restaurant. The toilets are beautifully decorated, really high quality interiors. The only slight downside is that the drink seems to be a little pricey, both alcoholic and soft drink. Perhaps they could re-introduce BYOB which they did at the opening and make it optional for folk, or offers free top ups of soft drinks.... this may entice more people to dine here and keep the restaurant busy at all times. Thanks for a lovely day, we will return soon!

MORE AT TripAdvisor

The re-opening of the Bombay Grill at a new location was a much anticipated event since the area isn't well served by good Indian restaurants. The restaurant is located in part of a rather dilapidated old hotel complex but the owners have managed to make the place quite welcoming although the rather plain decor shows that they have clearly had some budget constraints. We took the buffet option and as was usual in the old location the selection of rather good mixed starters were freshly prepared for us whilst we collected the sauces and popadums etc. This is a good idea because pakora and other starters don't benefit from being left under the heat lamps on a buffet. Similarly, naans and chapatis are made to order before the main course. The selection on the buffet was OK but the presentation wasn't great and the food was looking a bit tired. It tasted OK with the lamb curry being the best option. The freshly made naan was pretty poor because it was soggy and a bit greasy. The replacement was better but perhaps the cook needs a refresher course on how to use a tandoor. The desert selection was OK but not as good as it used to be in the old place. It was a holiday Monday so the buffet was more expensive than usual at £14.95 a head, which in my opinion was expensive for what we had. I hope the shortcomings were teething problems because the other Indian places in the area aren't up to much.

Corries was a great place to eat, but it closed and has now reopened. It is now called MIVA, the food is excellent, the staff are helpful and attentive without being pushy. I would recommend it.
