Five stars. Quality of food, service and attention cannot be faulted. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. Food was absolutely amazing! highly recommend.

Food was ordered at 6:20pm, didn’t arrive until 9:20pm. Was told the food had been delivered at 7:20pm but apparently had been delivered to the wrong address as we didn’t receive it!

Had heard so many good reports of this place, so I decided to order a carry out, giving over 2 hrs notice of delivery.Had to phone when it was 20 mins late.When it did arrive the meal was cold. I was very disappointed with the service. Obviously, our address was at the end of the delivery run. In my opinion, restaurants should not overbook their delivery slots as they damage their reputation and disappoint icustomers

I’m personally not a huge fan of Indian cuisine but I really enjoyed my food from Bokhara, the service good and the atmosphere was good (according to the person who got the food as it was not me) and I loved the naan bread, poppadoms, the Prawn Korma, and the lamb dinner kabab (which I ate the day after for lunch) the people I ate with also thoroughly enjoyed their food and we will probably return reasonably soon.

Great restaurant and takeaway. Foods outstanding. Been getting from here for well over 20 years now (maybe nearly 30 years). Finally they made a mistake. Left off the lamb madras. Called them and told the lady I didn't want to come grab it again. She offered a refund or send the driver out with it (and a little bonus as a sorry). Love this place. Part of the furniture in Bangor.

I have been coming to the bokhara for many years sit in and take away but tonight the waiter was extremely rude and embarrassed me in front of other customers....so Joey sorry I will not be back

Always great food and service. Really love this place and not too pricey. Staff very knowledgeable and friendly. Really delicious food cooked to your liking. Try the balti. Superb !! Pretty decent wine list with affordable house wines which match the food. Nice Guinness too!

food really lovely, but arrived far to early than had ordered for, had to keep in oven until guest arrived.

We bought all starters , beautiful . The salad with every starter was lovely. Sliced lettuce , cucumber , onion and tomato , BUT LISTEN , they even put POMEGRANATE IN , beautiful with all the chilli , garlic and tomato dips . 10 OUTA 10 👌👏👏👏💯

Great as usual! Unfortunately when we got home there was a dish missing from our order - BUT they were fab and had the dish delivered out to us within 45mins (they offered for collection straight away but we had guests and were in no rush, so delivery was perfect and very appreciated)! Will definitely be ordering from Bokhara again as they never disappoint!

I enjoy Bokhara and the service of the staff at the counter at every visit but seriously fed up with the Naan with cheese. The cheese is more like a spread and more often than not its like trying to wash down sand paper even when it is mixed in to soften it up. Tonight one of them had nuked..provoking this review which is long overdue.

Been going here from the place opened. Never had one bad meal and service is brilliant. I find this place very friendly atmosphere and they take there time out to welcome you. Thank you Bokhara 😁

Food was cold after being 45 minutes late and my guest were worried about reheating it. And there wasnt any dips which we always get with the popadoms. Very poor.

Food was very good and fresh, can't fault the food. Service was painfully slow. Tuesday evening, restaurant less than a quarter full, and we waited a long time between courses. Staff seemed to vanish between courses too so couldn't ask for another drink etc. Decor is dated, placed feels very drab and dead.

Order arrived late, (although our driver contacted us to say sorry) our chips and curries were cold , poppadoms soggy and my naan bread wasn't included and i paid for it. Very disappointing from a usually lovely takeaway.

great food but 1hr for collection isn't great, the app said 20mins and I was waiting for another 40 mins after I arrived.

Items missed off order again. Happens every time I order from here. Foods great, but clearly an issue when items are missing each time I order.

Delivery booked for 6pm latest. Rang at 6-20 to be told it had left. Rang at 6-45 to be told it was just leaving. When it arrived one hour late it was short 5 portions of poppadoms. Order was £100+. No compensation, useless and will never use again.

Busy night so delivery was as expected. Food excellent as always.

Food was cold and not up to their usual standard , I assume because so busy but the delivery took 2 hours which is totally unacceptable. I recieved a message saying it was ours arrive at 7.50 but was almost an hour later .

Haven't been for a while, and it felt as if we'd been there yesterday. Such a warm welcome from Joy, and all the staff. Fantastic food, as always, and the staff couldn't have done more. We will be back again soon. Best Indian in Bangor. 5*

Chips were awful, binned them straight away…rice greasy…

We always have the best of the best food from Bokhara. This one fell short. Maybe more due to delivery time. But on arrival the naan was stone cold. The chips were 80% cold. Some of the chicken seemed a little undercooked. Just all a little disappointing compared to the usual.

Horrendous Delivery! After nearly three hrs of waiting, we’re still waiting, It took 5 calls to get them to agree to give us our money back, never mind any compensation (we had guests for dinner). Do not use this restaurant, it’s local but they really don’t place ANY value on local custom. Plenty of other Indian restaurants to choose from in Bangor, which hopefully appreciates our custom and be more willing to our things right when they go wrong! Said would be ready at 5.40 so arrived at this time and didn’t get food until 6.05!!

Best chicken madras I ever had, I traveled from Scotland to see family and friends, went here on a Friday night.

A real pity as we love their food but on this occasion our order was 30 mins late and the food was cold. We had to reheat the food which we are not happy about. We got an apology from just eat but not the restaurant.

Food was cold when it arrived. No flavour to the food, totally tasteless. Order two lots of mint sauce ,no mint sauce arrived! But about 6 other sauces and salad that I didn’t ask for came too. Lamb kabab had about 3 bits of lamb and packed out with other meat too. Absolutely disgusting 🤢Contacted restaurant and no reply. Total waste of hard earned money never again.

They forgot my rice! Mildly annoying as I was starving but I phoned and the rice was sent up 20 minutes later so just had to reheat everything. Tasty as usual

So disappointed tonight, my food arrived barely warm , we do not order hot food esp indian to be barely warm , I dont have a microwave and nor should I be expected to heat my food up , for once the driver was early, which beggars belief, was it sent out of the restaurant even hot , I think not, if the rice isn't heated properly that's a health hazard... I have wasted money on a not even substandard meal .Bokara needs to invest in getting this right , sitting in for a meal is very different to what you bare expected to receive at home, Bokara needs to invest in proper thermal holders fof food esp if being transported all over tye town before you even geg yours , your food is not cheap , soooo disappointed!

Our order has been cancelled after paying online for the 2nd week running! Week after week it's been late! My husband has sat waiting for food that doesn't come and no one knows about, even though it's paid for!! Saturday night ruined again!! Do not order online!!!!

Delivery driver top rated, couldn’t have been more helpful. We ordered a few different meals from the menu - all tasted great and thoroughly enjoyed. Would definitely recommend.

Service is toooo slow.I waited 2 hours just to order and 1 hour 30 minutes for the food. Very poor service

Delivery arrived within time stated, however half the order was missing. I rang and explained the situation, to which they said would I be able to collect in 25 mins. After explaining that the rest of our order would be cold by the time we got the missing food they said they were busy and wouldn’t be able to do anything about it. When arriving to the restaurant was only given a quarter of bottle of wine and a simple ‘sorry’. Also paid £4 delivery and ended up having to collect.

So 20 mins past estimated arrival time, no other information re status of order on app !

Great food but for more than the second time I have received only a 1litre bottle of coke at £350 which is meant to be a 1.5 litre bottle. Last time I order drinks with food.

Got a takeaway for the first time from here. I didn't want to like it as I have been going elsewhere for years, but wow! Food was amazing! Can't comment on the atmosphere too much apart from it was busy when I got there but the food was so damn good!

My favourite curry house in Bangor for many years, and my first time ordering a takeaway from them. Amazed by the rapid delivery and thoroughly happy with the excellent food! Highly recommended!

It was late and it was cold when it arrived

Meals were absolutely fantastic! The onion bhajis were very disappointing. cold and didn't appear very fresh. We would definitely order from Bokhara again because it is a family favourite but I would definitely reconsider ordering the bhajis again, unfortunately

I love sitting in this place, but the food took 2 hours to arrive and then was freezing, the chips had actually started to wrinkle it was that cold. never order a takeaway

Food was ordered at 18:30. It was scheduled to come between 19:25 and 19:45. Got to 19:45 and still no sign of the food and just eat app was changed to ‘food delivered’ this was not the case. Unacceptable. This is not the first time the food has been late.

Extensive menu, not necessarily a good thing

Just been to this lovely restaurant for a meal. Have been diners here for many years both takeaway and sit in. It never fails to disappoint. Spotlessly clean, great food and superb service by the entire team. Tonight was made special by the manager/owner who remembers us from many previous visits and who took time to talk with us even though his restaurant was very busy. He and his team alone would draw business. Keep up the great work! This place is to be highly recommended 👌

Ordered at 18:25 and estimated delivery was between 19:05 and 19:25. At approximately 19:45 I was given a new estimate of 20:25. I called the restaurant at 20:45 as I had still not received my order. Lost my appetite, will they refund as I have requested????? The shame of it is, the food is usually excellent.
