We started our day here and enjoyed a light bite choice off the menu and a drink, the place was really cozy and funky, had a good selection of food and drink on offer and I would happily visit again. The food cost us £19 and a large wine & pint came to £11

Really excellent brunch. Came with 5 friends, and we all thoroughly enjoyed our food. The highlight was the vegan breakfast, huge and very tasty, I would have had food envy but my halloumi and avo sarnie was the absolute biz. Big slabs of halloumi lashings of avo, and mushrooms and siracha dressing. Yum. We all thought excellent value Nice staff

What kind of a pub closes at 8pm, when there is a group of people in.You really don’t deserve custom. You will be the first to moan when you join the list of closed down pubs. Do you have no business sense at all, anyone with half a brain would stay open until it goes quiet

Stopped in for a much needed coffee just before a Saturday lunchtime and Bod in Matlock was the right amount of busy. We managed to find a table straight away. Bod has managed to blend the Coffee shop and Bar into one creating the perfect atmosphere and setting whether you fancy a bit coffee or something a bit stronger.

The best way I could describe this place is just ok with poor service. When entering, the welcome wasn't the warmest and the place had a strange vibe to it. I had a club sandwich which was cold (I've never had a cold club sandwich before and my partner had the chicken tikka onion bhaji ciabatta which was quite soft and small for the price. Coffee was just ok. Asked for some mayo from the waitress and her face immediately dropped which I didn't appreciate either. I think if the service was better and warmer l'd be more likely to return, but don't think we will be going again.

Visited today for the first time in a few weeks and was disappointed to see the menu has changed again. First visited over a year ago and kept returning as service and food was always great. Today had the pepperoni pizza to share with my husband as there was nothing else we liked. We were looking to forward to the pulled pork ciabatta . This became our go to favourite after the steak and onion one was stopped. No plates provided. One piece of pepperoni on each pizza slice. Staff not particularly friendly. Also customers with dogs should control them. I have no objection to dogs but don’t appreciate them jumping up on me when i am relaxing having a bite to eat. Don’t think we will be returning after this disappointing visit. Such a shame

Bod; more like god. God awful. Please tell me how you can justify charging over £9 for a bacon and sausage sandwich when all you get is microwaved bacon and a couple of sausage. The wife had a breakfast as well; the mircrowave put in a double shift this morning as most of that was done in there as well. For the price you’d expect scrambled eggs at least done in a pan. Coffee was mid also for the price. Wouldn’t recommend.

I’m sure it’s great as a pub when that kicks in for the evening . A Sunday afternoon tea and tea cake sucks. Service abhorrent , no real civility , random delivery of cutlery , weird cups of tea leaves that need circulating to generate flavour all delivered by a team that couldn’t be arsed if you’re there or not . Would not recommend and never frequent again . Titanic is a great name the only thing missing was the band as this sinks as a cafe venue .

Absolutely FAB-U-LOUS. My sandwich was beautifully prepared with fresh ingredients. It came with a side of crisps (plain salted) and salad with dressing and even a pot of coleslaw! My partner had the Chicken and Bacon waffles. He said it was glorious! A combination of perfect sweet and savoury! Fantastic service from all of the staff! Super friendly. Not too expensive! For a coffee, and both dishes, it came to about £25. Perfect stop for a bite. The music is lovely and quietness, perfect if you've got a baby like we have. Definitely coming back Ps: Top Notch coffee.

Unfortunately I can't rate the food as they didn't seem to have anything available. We specifically went for a ploughman's lunch but were told they didn't have this, which is fine, you can't have everything all of the time but then we were told that our second choice was also unavailable. At this point I gave up and just had a drink and decided to try somewhere else to eat. Really disappointed as we were travelling back home through matlock so thought we'd stop off for a bite to eat but it wasn't meant to be. Luckily we found somewhere else and had a lovely lunch. It would have been nice if the young girl serving had just said what was unavailable when we went to order instead of letting us struggle to decide on a second choice only to be told it wasn't available and creating a queue behind us.

I'll admit to being a little disappointed with the 3 pancake stack for breakfast. Although they tasted great, they were not as fluffy as I would have expected from pancakes served with maple syrup and bacon (think American style). Also, they were very uniform so I'm not 100% sure that they weren't bought in and just warmed up - though I will admit any mistake if told otherwise. Atmosphere was great and the staff were lovely.

Something a little different from other places. I found Bod Matlock to have a really nice vibe with a wide variety of clientele. Food is very good and staff are very friendly and helpful. Going upstairs to the Toilet is slightly entertaining as well as they have a unique way of differenciating between the Ladies and Gets toilets, I won't give the game away just now. If you do find yourself in Matlock, just a minute's walk from the Railway Station and along Dale Road about 50 yards, then you must visit, you'll be in for a little treat. As a side note Bod DO NOT serve Chips or Fries, not a problem for us as the rest of the food was great and the coffee was just exquisite. Visited 14&15th October 2023.
