I’m very critical about fish and chips, but must say having the Fish and chips plus side special was lovely ! Decent price plenty of food, well cooked and tastes great, will defo use again if in area on chippy Friday !!

usually don’t have a issue, but food was absolutely disgusting cold and soggy battered sausage tasted like it was from yesterday, absolutely minging what a waste of money.

Nice people although I paid 3.95 for a borderline rustlers burger with no sauce or anything. Fish and chips are nice but don't get anything else

I ordered through just eat my ordered was late and showed that it had been delivered I've rang the shop they said it'll be a thew minutes I've had to call 20 minutes later told them the issue again and they hung up on my I tried calling back and they stopped answering.

Really lovely food. Ordered a fish bite special with a side and came with a can of pop.

Food came late with missing items, when I rung the restaurant women on the phone was rude and basically called me a liar and said I’d have to wait another hour for the missing items

Fish was beautiful park on main road you have uber available as you'd possibly need it because hard to park up easy access but fish n chips is beautiful its a little expensive for my liking

Paid way over price for chips and cheese thinking it has to be nice .... there was hardly any cheese and I thinks the chips were from yesterday

Ordered at 1pm. Rang at half 2 asking where it was said it was getting sent out soon just busy. Ok then. Now it’s half 3 still no food. Just rang and it hasn’t even left the chippy yet. Lovely food but cmon.

Absolutely horrendous, I ordered at 17:10 and it’s now 19:45 n it still hasn’t arrived, I’ve also called over 200 time n they haven’t answered. Do not order from here UPDATE The shop is now closed and I still haven’t received my order this is beyond a joke!!!

Went in on new year bank holiday for dinner, fantastic food, fish cooked to order and nicely done, chips were great also. Good food for decent price.

I’ve had quite a few deliveries from Bobbys’s and they have always come quite hot and we have thoroughly enjoyed them , but unfortunately today’s order was lukewarm to say the least? The hottest thing was the peas one of the fish was undercooked and not very nice and cold chips ( come on ) I know you can do a lot better than this . Disappointed today . I put honest and fair reviews on websites and will always praise any service that is good

been coming to your fish shop since you opened but we got 4 lite bite meals and sorry but there was the worst fish and chips we had of you it was all batter no fish and there was all same the one star from lastnight

Every time they do it wrong ordered chip butty with curry and spam butty they give me curry & chips..& a tub ov curry & jst spam not happy

The GOOD & the BAD. This is my first time here. Covid restrictions: sign says please wear a mask. Place order then wait outside. There are perspex screens at serving position. I was happy and felt safe. All good. One person waiting outside. One inside sat on windowsill. (Despite the sign in window) I went in , ordered fish, chips, rissole fishcake. Then waited outside. Other person outside was called in, got his order and left. Okay, I'm still happy (more or less). Their delivery driver pulled up. Got out of car & goes in to chippy NO MASK ! Swaps his empty bag for a full delivery bag and leaves. No hand gel use. NOW IM LESS HAPPY ! I'm called inside for my order. I have mask on & go in collect my order and come home. 3 miles. At home my wife puts the food on plates while I go to bathroom. When I come down she's eating her chips. She says they're lovely & mine are sitting in the microwave on a plate. I don't get them straight away but go 5 minutes later only to find a fish on its own ! I ask where's the fishcake ? She says there wasn't one , only fish n chips. I'm now UNHAPPY 😭. THIS IS BAD. I now eat the fish. It's absolutely lovely. Really tasty batter too. The fish is perfectly cooked & flakey. Yummy. Will I go back back there again ? Would I recommend them ? You decide

My wife ordered fish and chips and scraps with curry for me, and chips and curry for her. But when we got home they had put all tbe scraps on her chips so she couldnt have them as shes allergic to dairy. They really need to listen to what customers order. Very incompetent staff. Wont be returning.

Never had a problem always top quality food and top services. Very friendly staff. Always go there. Love the food and quality. very genuine prices. Make fresh fish to order. Don’t mind waiting there.

Very disappointed in this takeaway waiting 2 hours for delivery and then it came cold the person on the phone was so ignorant not happy ended up heating it up as it was cold

waited 2 hours past arrival time for food as there was a delay. the food never arrived and they refused to answer there phone. waste of time ordering from them

Go here all the time, staff brilliant and whatever you have is absolutely beautiful. I won't go anywhere else, the fish is to die for and beautiful chips, always plenty. Elaine.X

Disgusting. Filthy. They don't use any antibacterial cleaner and the cloths are vile. Did a shift there and never once saw anyone wash their hands. They mince fish bones for fish scallops 🤢 and defrost fish on dirty floor in back. They drop food on floor like sausages then pick it up and put it back in fryer and serve it and when you call for a delivery they round it up to £10 even if its only about £6 aswell as charging for large chips every time. Right rip off. Avoid, avoid, avoid

Been getting them all threw lock down delivered then as soon as open waiting hours for it no loyality

Used to order all the time. However lately the delivery time has been way off. Waited for 45 minutes after delivery was due for food and had to ring in to find out what happened to my order. Will not be ordering again, very disappointed.

Fab place best i have ever tasted

I ordered a large chips the waiting times a extremely long and when i finally got my my chips they tasted like they had just being heated up

Sometimes its good sometimes its average and slightly undercooked Depends on the day but a do think they need to cook the chips a bit longer

This has to be the best chip shop in barnsley beautiful food top quality and they deliver as well, 10 out of ten,the couple who deliver the food are so polite always a smile

Always order from Bobby's. Food is delicious especially the fish.. Service is spot on delivery driver always pleasant with a smile, Wouldn't go anywhere else for my fish&chips👍🙂

Nice place but doesn't sell proper beer

This place came recommended. Great food, just be careful you don't get short changed. I just ordered chips, paid for the large, and got small instead. Not good morals, or business ethics, and still peckish, so I shall stick to my usual chippy instead.

A fish and chip takeaway, will take delivery orders. I do not know what the food is fried in but it has a disgusting smell. This contaminates the food and, to my taste, renders the food inedible. This smell also pollutes the immediate area around the shop even when it is closed !

I loved my meal from here, everything was perfectly cooked. Only thing was I would have preferred my batter to be more crispy (it went a little soggy underneath) but other than that perfect. Will definitely come here again.

The best thing about this place is that they are open when other places are not. The food is of patchy quality depending on the time of day and who's working. Neighbouring fish shops, when open, serve better quality in my opinion.
