Blush Café & Dessert in Hillingdon

Walked in just a couple of minutes past the brunch offer and was met with a firm “you’re too late for the offer.” Fair enough, we were late, but not the best start. This was followed by a very average breakfast—something I could easily whip up at home. On top of that, they charged an unreasonable amount for extra eggs and salmon. Overall, a disappointing experience. That said, the coffee was good. Thankfully, the place across the road saved the day with my second breakfast—great customer service and food that hit the spot!

The toastiest & waffles are delicious. Unfortunately the chefs & staff behind the counter did not use gloves when preparing food which was pretty unhygienic.

Lovely desserts and great place for an afternoon treat

Been here a couple times as I didn't want one bad experience to go by to make this review. HOWEVER being in the hospitality industry service and customer satisfaction should be paramount to the establishment. However felt a frosty atmosphere when bringing my young child and felt as though we were very unwelcome. We not be returning, there are other better desert/ brunch spots offering better care and warmer atmosphere to their customers!

We went here for a Saturday lunch with my husband and 2 kids. The owner is very rude , belittling attitude when you’re ordering food, staring at you behind the counter while you’re eating (almost like dirty looks) , the vibe is negative and not welcoming. When you own a business you want to attract your customers with a warm attitude and accommodate your customers needs. I’m definitely avoiding this place in future !

If I could give this place zero stars, I would. I went to this dessert shop expecting a sweet treat, but instead, I got a sour experience that left a bad taste in my mouth. First off, the desserts are ridiculously overpriced for what you get—mediocre, at best. But what really took the cake (pun intended) was the downright rude service, especially from the so-called "manager." When I politely asked them to remove the service charge, the manager himself decided to step in. And let me tell you, I wish he hadn't. He was shockingly disrespectful, treating me like I was some kind of criminal for simply requesting a basic customer right. He spoke to me with a condescending tone, as if I was stupid for even bringing it up. He literally rolled his eyes at me and acted like I was wasting his precious time. Instead of listening to my concerns, he interrupted me repeatedly, talking over me as if my opinion didn’t matter. It was clear he had no interest in resolving the issue—he was just there to exert his authority and make sure I knew who was in charge. At one point, he even smirked and said, “That’s just how it is here. If you don’t like it, you can leave,” with a smugness that was downright infuriating. To add insult to injury, the whole interaction took place in front of other customers, which made the whole situation even more humiliating. I’ve never been treated so poorly by anyone in the service industry. It was absolutely appalling. Save yourself the trouble and avoid this place at all costs. No dessert is worth the kind of disrespect and mistreatment you’ll get here. There are plenty of other spots where the staff actually know how to treat their customers with basic decency—this is definitely not one of them

I don’t even want to rate this 1. If I could I would rate this a minus. The owner was very rude, clearly does not know how to talk to customers. And they literally rip customers off through service charge

I came all the way from Stanmore to have lunch here so before I went I looked at the opening times and it said 11am-6pm. I went there and it was closed. They should update there opening times. Very bad that I travelled that far and got nothing.

My 8 year old Son has this place on the top of his list. He says if he starts a restaurant he’s going to take notes from here 😊 Lovely options of coffee, food and dessert. One of our local favourites!

The cafe was clean, the food such as the drinks were very delicious. The atmosphere of Cafe And service were very nice and great. Most importantly, the staff was amazing. I loved everything about this cafe.

Food was so yummy also staff was so kind

The place was empty but they required to order 5 items for 5 people. We left as it felt like a money grab scheme. I understand if they asked this when the place was full, but literally we were the only customer in the cafe at the time and all tables were totally empty.

Expensive and the bill had a sneaky extra charge added on to it, apparently for eating in. As far as I'm aware it's not a takeaway, so why would you do that? It wasn't an optional service charge, it was added to the bill and the owner was quite defensive when I asked what the charge was for. He pointed to the bottom of the menu where it mentions this, but it's in dark coloured hard to read text. I left feeling a bit ripped off.

We were two adults and 2 teenage young ladies who visited for lunch. The service was excellent . We were impressed with the portions of the crepes and sandwiches. Dessert was a delight. Definitely highly recommend it all. I will certainly be visiting again soon. 😊

I often brunch at Blush with my girlfriends, and it’s become my favourite spot. The cosy, inviting atmosphere is perfect for a relaxing get-together. The menu offers a delightful range of dishes, from classic eggs benedict to hearty avocado toast and delectable pancakes. Everything is fresh and beautifully presented. The charming décor and soft background music create an ideal ambiance, and the staff are always friendly and attentive. Their coffee is superb, perfectly complementing the delicious brunch options. Overall, The Blush Cafe is a true gem, perfect for a leisurely brunch with friends. Highly recommended!

Atrocious! Owner kept coming over to tell our children to take their feet of their chairs, the poor kids couldn’t reach the table hence they were trying to sit on their knees so they could eat their food. I certainly won’t be going back there again!

Specifically asked for decaf coffee but myself and my mother were served caffeine coffee which meant we couldn't sleep..will not be going back again

Food was really nice and cafe was clean and well managed but the host asked us to move tables on two occasions saying it was booked. We all ordered and the place had space but for some reason that specific table was booked. Other than that, it was a lovely experience

I witnessed 2 young boys sitting together one had desert one did not. The nasty waitress harassed the young boys and told them if the other one did not order desert he would be chucked out. What a disgusting awful witch these boys were talking peacefully. Disgraceful

Takes sooo long for service to arrive. I've been waiting for nearly 1 hour for the food arrive. Completely ruined my afternoon.

I only visited this place a few weeks ago for the first time, and had to come back again very soon! The menu is perfect, it has a great variety, really tasty food and lots of dessert options! It Definitely ticked all boxes to eat well! I kept thinking about the masala wrap which I had to come back for, and when I did, I brought my whole family who loved it. The portion sizes are really big (we definitely over ordered), and there was plenty for my kids to choose from as well. The staff were really friendly and helpful, food service was fast! It's become a new favourite, I'm so glad I finally tried it and will definitely be going back again soon! I'm spreading the word on the street that everyone needs to try it....

Been here twice and on both occasions the owner was extremely rude to me and my 6 year old daughter. He had an issue with the way she was sitting, eating and kept pestering us, giving us horrible stares and even mumbled under his breath. He even made us move tables at 1 point! Will never set foot in this place, go to Cofix rather, very accommodating!

I’ve been to blush a few times and each time have been very impressed with the food & service. Really appreciate businesses that can be flexible and understanding towards their clients needs and this lovely cafe does exactly that. Highly recommend everyone to try them out. Person named Raj was so unfriendly. I came with my 70 year old mother. He dint even let us take a seat and started pressuring us to order. The way he was rushing us was rude and not good customer service so we just decided to leave and not come back again.

It is new but the food is really nice and a great selection. Staff are great. It can get busy due to the location and it is school holidays.

Lovely cafe in Northwood. The space is nicely decorated, clean and comfortable. The menu is extensive and has excellent choices. Everything is freshly prepared and is delicious. Service is attentive and friendly. Highly recommended!

Stumbled across this hidden gem and had an absolutely wonderful experience! Great, friendly atmosphere, modern decor, attentive service and amazing food! Missed the brunch, but we tried their toasted sandwiches, wraps, savoury crepes and milkshakes. Would highly recommend and can’t wait to go back and try their brunch menu! 😊

Our first time trying blush cafe and it was great! The service was lovely and friendly. We had the brunch which was great value for money, but we will definitely come back to try the desserts. My fav thing about this cafe was the vibe & the decor. Just perfect!

Terrible milkshakes. They only serve milk with sugar and syrups. They should learn how to make milkshakes so many free videos are available online. I paid 6 pounds and had to throw it right away. Felt like I am drinking sugar milk. Pls change your recipe

Toasted sandwich and waffle was to die for

Usually, I don’t leave reviews unless something is exceptionally brilliant or exceptionally bad. This experience was the latter. I tried leaving this review 0 stars but realised its not an option. This evening, I went out for dessert to Blush in Northwood with my mum, sister and our 4 beautiful young girls after a lovely meal at Izgara. As we walked up to Blush, my daughter, excited about waffles, ran in front of us to the door and went in. We followed in few seconds later only for me to find the owner having a go at my 7 year old for almost ‘breaking the door down!’ When the rest of us came in he straight away went proceeded to tell me ‘She almost broke the door down you know!’ In a rude and aggressive manner. Unfortunately, it went from bad to worse and I regret not walking out straight after walking in. Terrible service, terrible quality gelato, the worst toasties (from a previous trip - nice girl who attended to us at that time) and below average waffles. We asked for the bill and I tried to explain why I wasn’t going to pay the service charge, because the service had been poor and indeed the food was terrible. He then said to me that I had to pay it as ‘it was in the terms and conditions’. I am up for supporting small local businesses, however we shall not be returning to Blush. A word of advice to the rude little man who owns Blush - if you are going to run a customer facing business then be nice to your customers and especially their children. It seems I’m not the only one with this opinion.

Just below average food, they had ran out of certain ingredients therefore we had to change our order. The chips were awful sadly.

I visited Blush dessert parlour recently and I was extremely impressed with the range of ice creams and sorbet on offers, all of which are eggless. Firstly, the interior decor was extremely aesthetic and the walls were covered in a beautiful pastel colour. It was also a spacious and modern layout throughout. The staff member was very helpful and helped me identify a popular flavour. The mango sorbet was both sour and creamy and perfect for a hot evening. The prices were extremely affordable as well. Thank you Blush dessert parlour, we will be visiting again!

Good atmosphere and comfortable seating. Warm lighting and good decor. Their cookie dough was decent but their waffles were definitely the stars of the show. Light and airy inside, and very delicious. I ordered the Biscoff Waffles and I wanted more just because of how tasty the actual waffle was! Would definitely visit again.

Awful experience. Really rude man running the cafe who said two of us couldn’t sit at a 4 seater table when the whole place was empty on a Monday afternoon! Two other customers also walked in and rather than leaving a space between tables he sat them right next to us. I note similar reviews of this odd behaviour. Such a shame to have this unpleasant place on my local high street. I will be telling all my local friends and family and won’t be going back.

Fantastic experience!! I was a bit nervous going in with my pram but there was lots of room and the staff were very welcoming. Toastie, coffee and fries were all delicious. Beautiful interior and very clean.

I was really disappointed with my visit to the cafe. Firstly the masala chips tasted so blad (from the spring onions chopped on top, to the "peri peri salt" used to spice up the chips, and what felt like a Maggie sauce just squirted on top). It wasn't spicy at all and rather just salty. Secondly the portion sizes of cake were very different for the carrot cake and for the pecan pie. With the carrot cake being a double layered cake and the pecan pie just a very small slice by itself. So small that I ended up helping my partner with his carrot cake. The pecan pie also didn't taste very fresh. The carrot cake was chosen because the New York cheesecake was unavailable. However the substitute of the carrot cake was a good choice as it was the only thing tasty. "The vision" cold pressed juice was meant to be carrot, apple and ginger. The only thing I could taste was watered down carrot juice. No hint of ginger or apple at all. My partner agreed. Also not sure if it was freshly cold pressed. Seemed like it was just pre pressed and poured from the fridge on top of a glass full of ice. In addition, a 12.5% mandatory service charge was added to the bill. What I choose to tip should have been at my discretion. Overall a very disappointing experience. There are so many better dessert cafes around.

Fairly new establishment with pretty decor. Busy on a Sunday afternoon and despite only one person taking orders (the owner I think), we were served promptly and food arrived without delay. We had the vegan waffles, vegan hot chocolate and a vegan masala toastie. Excellent quality and very very tasty!! The food and service was 5 stars all round!! Will definitely visit again!

It was really a bad experience. The staff was so rude and unwelcoming. Literally I left after 2 mins and they were not even unapologetic. Never going back there.

Extremely unpleasant person running the cafe, I am surprised a dessert cafe has someone who lacks insight and kindness in their approach. We went there with our child for a nice evening out. We were first told our daughter holding ice cream from B&R could not have it in their cafe, and in the meantime the ice cream fell on the table. Before our apologies, we were basically told " You will need to clean this up now" and hardly any help was offered. There is always time for kindness, and always an option to avoid unpleasantness- hard to go to such a place that ruins the feel of Northwood.

Nice addition to the high street. Like the decor. Staff are friendly. I've been twice and only so far ordered the freshly baked cookie and ice cream, which I enjoyed both times. Will be going again to try out other dishes.

Great place for brunch - yummy food and cute setting.

I have recently visited this cafe, while being very familiar with Northwood I hadn't heard of this cafe and was excited to visit. I was shocked and disappointed to find the staff who were extremely inattentive and we had difficulty ordering which was a first time experience for myself. A rather quiet cafe yet we stood for longer than we ought to have. I had the chance to order and staff simply walked away and were difficult to talk to again, due to this negligence we stood for a great amount of time again before my friend had the chance to order as well. We had a pet dog with us and understood the policy, as dogs were not let inside we were told we could stand outside and would be signalled as to when our food was ready. However when the time came the staff rudely knocked on the window and seemed very agitated although they had suggested we stand outside. I came in to collect the order and staff rolled their eyes and showed a great deal of attitude which neither of us appreciated. I was very reluctant to give this 1 star and my friend expressed her dislike for the small portion of her food given which was not comparable to the price however the waffle I had ordered was satisfactory. Although I visit frequently as the savoury food can be quiet nice however I still find myself appalled at the fact that the service charge is unusually high

Came on this place by chance while I was waiting for a bus so I popped in for a bite and I’m so glad I did! Really nice decor and the staff are friendly. I had a waffle and an iced coffee and it was so delicious. They have a huge menu and it’s not expensive. Would definitely love to go back!

Our experience at this cafe has been interesting, first of all our kids ordered an apple juice and refused to drink it as it tasted horrible. Secondly, our kids went to the second floor to see what was up there and then came down . However, they wanted to get a picture so they went back up and got told off by an employee. Our kids are very upset and we will not be coming again.

Great was excellent! The service was a bit slow - one of our ordered items was forgotten. Seemed like there weren't enough staff - and it was busy all afternoon we were there for nearly 4 hours and ordered 2 rounds of food.

Went recently for brunch and not impressed. We were seated upstairs on our own and had to call someone several times to take our order. Staff were grumpy, food was mediocre. Wont be rushing back and told my local friends not to bother.

Rude manager and rude staff - service was not good. I assume it was full of cronies of the owner as they were all laughing and mocking some poor woman who had parked outside - really odd behaviour. I will never spend money in this place.

Very friendly service, gorgeous decor and ambience. The menu is varied and excellent. I am now a ‘regular’ and am recognised and welcomed by the staff. Have introduced friends and family to this cafe. Just wish it would open more often before midday ….!

6 of us went and we all thoroughly enjoyed the food. The falafel wraps and the masala wraps were the best I have ever tasted. Waffles with Belgium choc and hazelnuts were a super hit and must try. We will be going again for sure. Excellent service too

Absolutely amazing! Really beautiful and great food!

Strange place. Totally empty for the duration of my visit yet the owner insisted I move tables in case other customers needed the spot I’d chosen! His presence gave an unfriendly and unwelcoming vibe to the place, and the non-discretionary service charge is a cheek when there is very little service involved. He was surly and abrupt taking payment, and then watched me struggle out of the door with my buggy and didn’t bother offering to hold it open. Just an odd way to run a hospitality business if you want people to return.

Decor is lovely and the food is ok for the price. The service could be improved, the couple of times I have been there it has been fairly frosty and not the most welcoming.
