The most Amazing Place I have had the pleasure to experience in London. Starting from the staff, welcoming and absolutely knowledgeable, they took care of us from the beginning giving us the most of their expertise. Food was stunning, being italian we are quite demanding when It comes to food, that said I can say If you come here you are going to wonder why people say you can't eat well in London, maybe they never came here. Least but not last the cocktail! OMG the research behind Is astonishing, the way they preparare It and serve It unbelievable. Francesco, the bartender, Is the Pearl of the Place, a pleasure to Watch while working and extremely in love with his job. The best experience ever!!!

Well, what can I say. This gem in the heart of Deptford, is just alongside the station in its now rejuvenated square. The staff: great, charming active. The ambience: unbelievable. The food: nothing short of excellent. Actually as good as anything we had experienced in the West End, if not better. We were gobsmacked to discover that it has been open for three years. Perhaps, due to the pandemic, this pearl in the oyster has remained hidden. Try the fried calamari (£12), Burrata (£11), scallop pasta (£15), goat cheese (£5.50), Ribeye steak (£16), swilled down with some Pinot Grigio - everything was simply to notch. No beers on tap, which as bit of a disappointment, for me. But this is deliberate... they want a different type of customer. Cocktails, wines, gins, vodkas, that type of thing. Book early to avoid disappointment.

My husband and I decided to spontaneously go for dinner here last night and I’m so glad we did! Our server was actually the restaurant owner and he was incredibly personable and service-oriented. He’s also Albanian and as we have traveled around his country and loved it 😊, we had a great convo surrounding his homeland. The restaurant prices aren’t cheap, but not the most expensive. I got the baked goat cheese side plate with truffle oil and a thin Italian flatbread (like pappadam). Utterly delicious. As a main I got the black cod without the anchovy sauce. The portion size was perfect, the cod perfectly “meaty” and tender, and the Swiss chard and orzo a good blend. Not the most delicious meal I’ve had but very good! My husband got the steak and raved about it. His roasted potatoes on the plate were delicious but so wish there was more! He also felt sated after his meal. He got the millefeuille as a dessert and enjoyed it as well. I had a bite and it was perfectly crispy and light. He also enjoyed the espresso. We both had glasses of wine and kudos to the owner for deciding 175mL pours as standard! I had the Chenin blanc: it was alright but have had better wines. I would like see to greater glass selection: maybe an Albanian wine?! as I had delicious Albanian wine whence there. We’ll definitely return for other menu options: the prawn and scallop pasta intrigued us and I want to try the other cod main. Faleminderit!

One of the best places we have ever been. The food was amazing , the staff was so welcoming and service was top. I can not rate their cocktail enough either. A must visit either as a family but great for couples too.

Very welcoming- even took our 11 year old behind the bar to make his own mocktail. The macaroni cheese was very special. Try the fabulous smoking cocktail (the ‘Go Figure’) - it’s like something from Harry Potter!

Bluethroat Bar is hidden in an area with an eclectic collection of independent shops, bars and restaurants. They're in a good location close to the train station. Staff are welcoming and friendly and know their cocktails – which are EXCELLENT and can be made to your preferences. Absolutely loved the ambiance, service, and cocktails.

We had a brilliant meal here- I’m surprised not to see more rave reviews (there are more on google!). Some have complained about the prices but I think they’re very reasonable for such original, delicious food. For around £30 a head we got to try lots of their small plates, highlights being the beautifully tender baby octopus, mac and cheese done to perfection (luxurious without being greasy or heavy), grilled artichokes and succulent lamb chops. All washed down with a very tasty cocktail. Nice, unpretentious and efficient service. Can’t fault it!

This is a nice Bar/Restaurant & with a few minor changes in customer service it could be amazing. Food was excellent but service to say the least was chaotic but the staff were very pleasant, maybe a manager over seeing things or maybe we were just there on an off night, but as I said every dish we had was excellent.

Having grown up in Deptford as child it would be a understatement to say the area has gone through a change. The diverse community has a sympathetic gentrification face, located in Deptford Market Yard. In that yard you'll find a hotspot named the Bluethroat Bar, but nay tis no ordinary bar. For behind its mask is a fine dining experience that could rival any central london restaurant.

Popped in for impromptu dinner. Menu sounded delicious and didn’t disappoint, even if a little on the pricey side. The table next to us was being served very attentively but we were not offered top ups of drinks or offered desserts. So we decided to get the bill and move on. It took some effort to get attention to ask for the bill. No matter. My doubt settled in when given the bill. ‘Why is deaths door gin £13?’ They all come as doubles- was the answer. (It was not a double) ‘My partners rum was only £7.50 and I didn’t ask for a double’ The waitress, bless her was very polite and apologised but said she didn’t know why, should she ask. By this point we just wanted to leave. I would highly recommend the food but advise you clarify drink size/pricing when you order.

This is a little gem of a restaurant tucked away in a corner of south east London near Hither Green station. The food is reasonably priced - and delicious - and the service impeccable. The ambience is just right. We were served by both a young man, who was polite and attentive, and Mimmo, who seemed to be both friendly maitre d' and chef,. Mimmo proudly told us about the high quality ingredients the restaurant uses, and the way the kitchen employs a traditional Neapolitan, slow fermentation process for their pizza dough. This means they can use less yeast (potentially making the pizza easier to digest). In any case, the pizzas and pasta and salads all went down a treat. He also joked with us about how his daughter, a pâtissière, insists he make all the choux pastry for the desserts from scratch, even though it means it coming in two hours early. (Our table duly wolfed down the chocolate desserts, which were pronounced wonderful.) He also offered tips on pasta and on the best flours for making pizza to a keen cook among us and was generally helpful and informative without being pushy. We all left saying we want to go back soon.

Busy, popular restaurant with great range of choices and particularly amazing breads. Had three courses, including meat and cheese platters for starters, which were lovely. Specials board a little difficult to read (light in way/behind me) - would be nice to have a printed version. Excellent mains, but disappointing tiramisu as sponge fingers were quite dry, which made them chewy - could have done with a Tia Maria poured over them. Overall a great, tasty meal with lovely staff giving a very warm welcome. Bit of a draughty as the front door is opened frequently for customers, and especially delivery bikes picking up collections, but no way round this really. Will be very happy to return again.

First time I've ever been to this charming little park...on a beautiful sunny morning I spotted this cafe & thought fabulous I'll have a coffee. As I entered I was putting my mask on and one of the strings broke the mask was still covering my face as I was holding it. To my SHOCK I look up & this man behind the counter (the owner I think) which was at least 2 metres away wearing a mask himself starts to SHOUT AT ME!! The way in which this man spoke to me was actually shocking I've been reading some of the other reviews an this seems to be a reoccurring theme. In this time when so many businesses are struggling we as consumers have a choice were we spend our money and many of us choose to try and support local businesses...this one WONT get my support..this man is a RUDE & is going the right way about ruining his own business
