Bloom Bar & Grill in Derbyshire Dales

Unfortunately we didn't enjoy our lunch at Bloom. The menu looked nice but the pork, lamb and prawns were not available, apparently because the menu was shortly going to be changed. It would have been helpful to have been informed of that before we arrived (they had my phone number and had texted the day before to confirm the booking) as very likely we would have cancelled the booking and tried elsewhere had we known. The food we ordered was not great. The burger and steak sandwich were OK but the fish pie was a bit tough and difficult to cut into and the supergreen salad was basically just a large pile of slightly lukewarm, undercooked vegetables plonked onto a plate, very poorly presented and unappetising. So, all in all, rather a disappointment.

Visited Bloom on a Thursday evening with our family and some friends. We sat inside the beautiful upstairs dining room. The food was amazing! Between us we had the steak, pork belly, fish and chips and pizza, all of which were delicious and perfectly cooked. Jake who served us was very friendly and attentive. We will definitely be returning soon.

My husband and I held our wedding reception at Bloom Bar & Grill, and it was the ideal space and location! We had a small reception with roughly 30 people in the daytime and further 25 people for the evening. We had use of the private courtyard, where we had canapés and drinks, whilst the upstairs room was decorated out for our wedding breakfast. Jake, Megan, and the whole bar team were incredible! We felt so looked after and couldn't have asked for a better group to manage our special day. The food was beautiful, the timings were impeccable, and everyone was so friendly and happy to help. A special shout out to Jake, who was a truly dedicated host! If you're looking for a venue to hold a smaller, more intimate wedding reception, then Bloom Bar & Grill is perfect!

We had very nice food, sat outside in one of the sheltered tables. The service was good as well. They had run out of several items as it had been a busy day, which I was surprised at because it was August and the summer holidays so they must have been expecting increased numbers of diners. The tables were also quite sticky - get scrubbing people!

Lost one star because of communication. No reply to email or answer phone when trying to reserve a table. However we were apparently booked in to this very pleasant venue. We chose to eat inside but most ate alfresco. We were delighted by the warm welcome and splendid waiter who was attentive without being intrusive. The wine list is comprehensive and includes some good bottles. The food is very varied, tasty, generous portions and presented with care and attention. I would think you could please a great many people, no matter what their likes or dislikes. We would recommend this delightful venue 99.9%- just sort out and keep your website up to date and improve communication.

Took my girlfriend out for our biweekly date night, shared a chateaubriand that was perfectly cooked and absolutely delicious. We chose peppercorn and bernaise sauces that were incredible and the accompanying cherry tomatoes and mushrooms were beyond tasty. The service was impeccable and the staff could not have been any more welcoming. All in all, we had an amazing evening and will definitely be back in the near future.

We came on sunday, what can I say.... we had Pizzas and burgers and they were delicious, the place was packed and had a beautiful atmosphere with live music!! A couple of bits from the menu were taken off understandably due to a busy weekend. Amazing place will be returning with friends and family soon, cant wait!!. Food 10/10, Atmosphere 10/10 Service 11/10 !!

Had pizzas, chips and drinks. Everything was perfect and the server was incredibly helpful (think he was called Danny). 10/10 would recommend to friends and definitely would be coming again.

My wife visited Bloom Bar & Grill on 7 June for her birthday. The food and service were amazing. Special thanks to Louis and Moy who made her birthday meal extra special. The pork belly was fantastic. Thank you.

We were met at the door by Jasmine or Jessica as we didn't catch her name properly. It was a lovely welcome but she was being over managed by an older lady who seemed to be in charge thus spoiling the great welcome. We hadn't booked but the young lady dealt with us professionally, taking us to our table without fuss. From then, the service was great from this young lady. She took time to describe the salad part of the menu to us and how the pricing works. This was great service. Nice food and a pleasant place to eat. Well done to her.....

Excellent food, Jasmine, Bea and Danny were wonderful: will definitely return, Buddah bowl was delicious as were the chicken burger and pizzas.

Amazing food and amazing staff, the duck spring roll was the best I've ever eaten. Beautiful place in a great location. Highly reccomend must visit.

After receiving some sad news yesterday, we sought solace and comfort in the peace and beauty of the nearby Peak District. We called in at Bloom, initially for a coffee, but the venue was so lovely and the welcome so warm we decided to stay for lunch and drinks. Everything was absolutely perfect - the food and the service. We will definitely be returning for a longer visit with friends in happier circumstances.

If Carlsberg did Sunday roast, they wouldn't come close to the absolute perfection of the Sunday roast sharing board A selection of pork, turkey and beef cooked to perfection (with enough left over for a doggy bag) vegetables to die for, a delightful host "Nicki', attentive staff and lovely premises. At £20.00 each what's not to like, will definitely be going again

Popped in for a wine with family; ended up ordering pizza and fries as they looked so good! The Pinot Grigio is excellent as was the service.

This is a truly amazing restaurant nestled in the beautiful village of Eyam. We stopped off by chance after visiting Chatsworth and were met with a warm welcome from Nicky, the manager and perfect host, and her team. The four of us chose from the Christmas menu and were not disappointed! The starters were delicious, our turkey dinners were exceptional and the steak cooked to perfection! Desert was gorgeous, the cherries steeped in Kirsch were mouth watering! The service, quality and freshness of the food and a stunning interior made this one of the best meals we have had in a long time. Thank you Nicky and team, fortunately we live close by and will be returning soon!

Had an absolutely fantastic Sunday dinner. The food was unbelievable. The chef had made his own balsamic vinegar for the vinegar and oil which was delicious. The bread was soft and tasty and the sunday lunch sharing platter was brilliant. Then we finished with the brownoe which was out of This world all topped by friendly staff and the manager is an absolute gem. We will be coming back again.

Well what a find! We had a lovely Sunday roast today. We were a group of 4 and chose to have the Sunday roast sharing platter. Chicken. Pork and the most succulent roast rib of beef with all the trimmings. From the moment we walked in until we left the staff were friendly and attentive. The food was amazing! Thank you!!!!

What an excellent restaurant in every respect. Sensible prices, food quality, good portions, friendly service, nice ambiance - well done, this is exactly how to do it…..don’t change a thing !

Called into Bloom Bar and Grill today for some lunch. FIrst impressions, it was lovely. The staff were polite and very welcoming even though we had two dogs they were welcomed too. We ordered the sharing carvery, which was fabulous. I couldn't find a fault. To some up, we will be going again my new favourite place to eat.

Really amazing food, friendly helpful staff, very good value and quality. Thoroughly recommend and will come again.

Had Sunday dinner here twice and both times really impressed homemade Yorkshire pudding, best roast potatoes I’ve had in a long time . Keep up the good work makes a refreshing change to have a proper Sunday dinner and also dog friendly which is a bonus

I cannot thank Bloom enough for a wonderful evening celebrating my son’s 18th birthday, the setting is absolutely beautiful (we had the upstairs floor to ourselves) the service was faultless and the food delicious. A very special mention goes to Nikki the wonderful manager, for whom nothing was too much trouble. Elise did an amazing job of heading up the fab waitresses, she was super helpful, we were so impressed at how quickly our party of 34 were served. The kitchen staff were fantastic, I discovered after the meal they were the head chef down and you wouldn’t have been able to tell, everything was delicious and great sized portions. Thank you team Bloom for a perfect evening, we’ll be back and will recommend you :-)
