The food was fresh and the portion sizes were good, Mr Blair himself was very pleasant and accommodating. I would recommend to anyone in the area in need of good food

I visited this establishment for the first time yesterday. The cuisine was exquisite, representing the finest Caribbean cuisine I have experienced. The ambiance was conducive to families, and the server demonstrated exceptional courtesy and hospitality. I highly recommend the curry goat, which I rate as exceptional.

I ordered mutton soup. It had a few carrots and yam, lots of boiled dumplings and one very small piece of mutton. I expected better than this so I was disappointed

Have eaten from here twice now, and also ordered for family members. The owner is lovely, the portions are generous, and the food delicious!! A little spicier than I am used to, but well worth stepping out of your comfort zone for. Definitely going on our “regular” list.

Visited here today due to my usual place being closed. It was fantastic, honestly up there with the best. I have travelled miles across the West Midlands trying almost every Caribbean Shop in Handsworth, B’ham City Centre, Erdington, West Brom etc etc and this was great. I said to the man that served me - I would be back, if it was good - and the answer to that is I shall definitely be returning. The jerk wings were top tier.. I need to re-visit when you have the full jerk chicken breast back in stock. Friendly, family run place. Well done.

We had goat curry and jerk chicken yesterday. It was delicious and the young gentleman who served us was very polite and we could see that he was cooking with lods of passion. Worth every single penny we spent. Definitely we will go there again.

I've ordered some food recently for the first time. I received fried fish instead of steamed but it was nice so not a problem. The portions are large and food tastes fresh. I'll definitely order again! Please add more pics of your food to Google!

Sometimes Carribean restaurants can be inconsistent with quality. But you see this restaurant right here. Spot on, customer service is excellent aswell. I highly recommend to anyone. Out of everywhere you can choose to go don’t bother going here chicken was pink and cold rice seemed days old asked for dumplings got festivals and all the man had to say was I’m so sorry it won’t happen again? Mate I ain’t coming here again

Great customer service. I made an order and it was cancelled through Just eat so I phoned the restaurant to see what had happened. No response. I was then called back( which is very unlikely from most restaurants) I was told the reason of why my order was cancelled. I was then told the list of things I could order off the menu. Food came hot and tasty. If your looking for food that tastes just like your granny’s pot on a Sunday!!!!! ORDER FROM HERE! Festivals are soft and sweet just how I like them aswell.

There was a slight issue when I had ordered food last time but that was addressed and the restaurant owner dealt with it professionally, can’t recommend this restaurant enough! There’s a lot of love put into food, have tried most Caribbean restaurants around the area and this one is the best one I’ve come across so far! Great customer service and amazing Caribbean food!

Heartily food that makes you feel like at home even if you're not Caribbean. I tried everything on the menu in the past few years and everything deserves a Michelin star in my opinion. Attention to detail and presentation, extremely respectful and polite cook that does it with passion for cooking and not treat it as a job. Place is spotless clean and has a dine-in space (not during lockdowns) with a nice street view if you want to let your mind drift away while savouring the aromas. Couldn't recommend it more, probably the best food in a dozen miles radius.

I ordered here today for the first time. The food was authentic hot and fresh, the Jerk chicken was great. The rice and peas was very good and I also had plantain which was cooked perfectly. Everything I wanted was available, the menu was accurate and had a wide variety of items on offer. I didn't have to wait very long for the food. Most items are available daily, you dont have to wait certain days to have certain food. Apparently you can also order on justeat, deliveroo and uber eats. Very good customer service and the gentleman who served me was very polite and friendly. I would definitely eat here again.

Tried Blair’s Caribbean Takeaway for the first time today. Walked past this place on my lunch hour and the smell of the food was truly amazing, so I gave it a go, I am not disappointed at all! Will definitely be a regular place for me!

We ordered 2 large meals and 2 dumplings. Received 1 large meal and 1 small meal and 2 drinks as dumplings had ran out. Food was alright but not the best I’ve had compared to some other locals. Requested curry sauce on my fried chicken meal and got something else which i didn’t really like. Probably won’t order again

I Couldnt I COULDNT, That Oxtail Was Phenomenal, See I Brought Oxtail From Another Place On Here, a Place called Blue Mountain Grill and I Thought Their Oxtail Was alright But Had Too Much Bones Little Sharp Bones At That so I Was Sceptical about Ordering The same Thing From Here, I Thought Their Oxtail Was Good But Little Did I Know that this Oxtail You served Now to Me Was way Better, There Was Actual Meat, Chunky Juicy Tasty Meat, Little Did I Know I Had Been Sort Of Ripped Out Off By That Place A Bit, The Rice & Peas Were Propper, Yes Sure You Missed My super Juice in a can Passion Fruit I was annoyed At That but The Food was fantastic, Three Things Were Nice, The Rice & Salad Were Nice, Yes You Were Late But You still Let Me Know, You All So Didnt Give Me fried Dumplings You Gave Plaintain I Think, Still It Was Tasty, I Ranked You On Your Food Merits, It Truly Is Incredible, Still You Need To Sort Out Your Service too and Deliver Right Things Thank You

Beautifully cooked well flavoured food. Oxtail, rice & peas with steamed veg was flavoursome and moorish, with good portion sizes. Brown stew chicken was also delicious and well flavoured. My family were happy with their food and gave a thumbs up! We will deffo use again. Best Carribbean food locally, wish I had found you earlier. Highly recommended and good value for money.

I can forgive the delivery lateness but what I can’t forgive is the most of the food was cold. Mutton soup had one piece of meat. Dumplings tasted like festivals. Stewed chicken was swimming in oil. Overall the food was disgusting. I would not recommend nor will I be ordering from this restaurant again.

Let’s start with the good stuff, the dumplings were great & lots of them , the rice & peas were good. Not so good - if this was a large curry goat I’m glad I didn’t order the regular size , no sauce at all & maybe 6-8 pieces of meat total The patties had obviously been heated in a microwave as they were limp & soggy not the puffed crispy pastry you would expect. All in all disappointing

Food is just alright. I expected more. First time I have used this takeaway and was hoping it would be my regular food spot but based on this experience I won’t order from here again. The order was placed, I later got a call to say there is a problem with the order, it will be an hour and half longer delivery time than expected if I want what I ordered as someone forgot to put pot on! I happily agreed to take plain rice instead of rice and peas to get food sooner. It was still later than estimated time given but given the current state of the country that’s not a big deal. For a large curry goat you really don’t get much meat but you do get plenty plenty rice! No gravy over the rice though and not much with the meat! so once you have eaten half the rice with the meat you are have half left that is then just dry white rice (who really wants to eat just plain rice no gravy). Places I go to, if I have to order the rice separate from the meat and the steamed veg separate I’ve always got them in separate containers, that way you actually get a portion. To charge the amount you do for steam veg then get a tiny bit in the same tray as rest of the food that resembles a complimentary side salad is disappointing. As I was ordering for two people I put dumplings x2 but two portions is unnecessary for 2 people. Save your money and just order one portion of dumplings for two people (menu should state how many you get) the dumplings were nice though, small in size but tasted nice and you get a fair few. It’s a shame as I really did think I will order from a local independent food place to show my support in these difficult times but I should not have bothered. The guy that delivered food was really polite and apologetic and said he has put complimentary drinks in, but you replaced the rice and peas with plain rice which is cheaper so not quite complimentary. I’d summarise as saying the price is fine if the portion size of meat and gravy is increased, however the food I ordered apart from the dumplings is just alright and edible...

One word I have to describe the food... Wow! It was well worth the 30 minute delay with the delivery. Loved authentic Caribbean food since I was a child and I’m pleased to say I’ve found a restaurant worth sticking with. Better than any other local Caribbean takeaway, the food is honestly amazing, you can tell it is cooked with love and consideration. Thank you for the amazing meal, will definitely be ordering again :)

Some of the nicest takeaway I had in a while good portions and friendly service

This is my first time ordering from this eatery. The owner who I believe is also the chef delivered the food and was extremely apologetic about the food being what he considered late, in reality I believe it was delivered in good time. The food just not to my taste. Soup held flavour although the overwhelming taste is ground black pepper. I ordered festivals, had a nice texture, really fluffy but were oily - as if they had either been left in oil or reheated in oil. Theres nothing wrong with the food, I prefer a different taste that's all.

Food was absolutely glorious! I ordered a large portion and it was a LOT of food. Food came perfectly on time, nice and warm and ready to eat. I also had a super pleasant chat with the owner who seemed like a stand up guy. Really happy with both the food and the service, I'll be coming here again and I feel confident in recommending this to anybody interested!
