The woman that served me was rude. When I was ordering she said she would come back to what salad and sauce at the end, then when I asked for a cheese slice it was extra, sounds petty, that's because it is. I always go to a near by chippy that I have done for years but my mate said try here. It was £4.75 more than what I would pay for the same meal in aldridge! Expensive food was ok but its just a chippy and the woman who served me was an idiot. I work close but would only return if everywhere else had closed down

We waited for the food as it was being made fresh, and it was worth it. Perfectly cooked, really great service and the selection of kids toys as part of our sons meal was the icing on the cake. It was still fresh and hot after a 10 minute walk home, which shows the quality of the food and packaging.

The BEST chip shop in Sutton Coldfield, hands down. My Nan used to live in Streetly so it was always a treat to go here. Have tried loads around Sutton but as my partner is from the Suffolk coast where chip shops are exceptional, many have been wide of the mark. Blackwood Rd have donor kebab that actually tastes of lamb, fresh fish (not frozen) and Nick and his parents are lovely and give you that ‘you’re family’ service. I live in Wylde green and drive 20 mins round trip to get our food, and the fish is still crispy when I get it home - our local is round the corner and its soggy by the time you get it home. Also they’ve had a refurb and the place looks great and their cleanliness is always spot on.

Kebabs were cold, food quality was terrible, tikka had no taste. Wouldn't go again. First time and last time.

First time using this chip shop,and the last. Very long queue on a Friday evening left me expecting nice food. I was very disappointed, chips ok but the fish was well below average.

Heard the owner, i think her name was ‘Andrea’, lambasting one of her members of staff. It was incredibly unprofessional, and quite frankly, horrible. It is clear that those young people working there are working in unclean and unsanitary conditions in food prep areas, and earning below legal minimum wage. This is an absolute disgrace. Won’t be coming here again for my fish supper.

It's disgraceful how the owners - particularly the woman - choose to treat their staff. She demonstrates a total disregard for the welfare and wellbeing of the young people employed in her business and was quite happy to confront my daughter in a shop full of people about why my other daughter left at short notice. Well! pin back your ears Andrea and TRY to listen...she left because she was treated with absolute contempt by you because she took time off with Covid and felt so upset, she couldn't return - shame on you.

Got a takeaway here today.. Mini Fish & Chips and a kebab wrap.. the place was very busy and had a bit of a wait. But no matter, food was prepared quickly and still piping hot when I arrived home.. nicely cooked and tasty. Guys here working very hard. Many Thanks

Never fails to provide amazing food at a reasonable price. Staff are AMAZING and great with the customers. Would recommend the food and service/ staff quality is second to none! Always gives the kids sweets and toys with kids meals !!

Always very busy so there's plenty of fans of this chip shop. Often the queue is out the door and up the high street. Prices are reasonable, I have never had a bad meal from here. In fact the only mistake they made in the last 3 years was them sending 2 scallops and I ordered 1. I was honest, called and spoke to the explaining it and offering to pay for it anyway. They were just pleasant, professional and friendly and insisted I kept it and they didn't want the money, they just said enjoy it. Not bad at all! If say excellent in fact?

Friendly, family-run chip shop. To call it a chip shop is a misnomer because as well as serving chips there are a wide selection of other takeout options; from fried chicken to burgers, your taste buds are guaranteed to be satiated.

Fantastic little chippy. I thought Marcos was one of the best. ( as informed by my father-in-law) But this little gem of streetly. I do recommend you try the gravy. I always had the spicy curry sauce but then the wife had a steak pie with not much filling. So this week I got the gravy. ( WOW ). Amazing. Just try it. You’ll thank me later. Great service and there always asking about mum and dad and checking up on them. Staff members always seem to be happy and alway polite regardless of the hard to understand by wearing a mask. Outstanding all round. Hence the 5 stars.

Okay, kebabs are Nice, Think they need to Change the Cooking Oil more Often, the Chips aren't Good.

Asked for lightly battered fish and that was exactly what I got Cooked fresh, fish was moist and tasty.

Quite pricey compared to the average however I'd have to say it's one of the best fish and chips I've had so I'd definitely recommend!

Used this chippy for almost twenty years. Consistently good food. The chicken tikka kebabs are excellent, fish comes in nice large portions.
