Blackpool Central Hotel & Cafe in Blackpool

We stayed in this hotel during summer holidays. We were group of 4 adults and 11 kids so as you can imagine find accommodation for all of us is not a easy task. Owner of this hotel did everything possible to make sure we got what we need. Our cars were parked straight in front of the hotel which is very unusual in Blackpool as well. We were take care off and nothing ever was a problem. Needed extra bowls for cereal - no bother done, need extra towels - done. One day my son drop our parking card and in the morning we woke up to unpleasant surprise of getting unauthorised parking ticket. Half an hour later, hotel manager called that ticket is cancelled and everything is taken care of. This kind of customer service is hard to find nowadays. We will definitely stay there again.

The manager was very nice and easy to get along with and the rooms were clean beds were comfy will be back again

Stayed here recently,£298 for a week stay,room only,the Norbreck castle was the ritz compared to this dump,they even tried to come in 3 times when I was still in,no need because it was understood no cleaning required till I left,I even managed to sign my name on the wardrobe shelf,the stoor was that thick,the place smelled too🤢at least the shower worked,hence the one star,

Stayed here for 2 weeks. The owner was brilliant, very welcoming, very leanent upgraded, my room clean and tidy very helpfull the room was nice bed was comfy and I will definitely be staying here agen

Ashamed. No heating the first day, and the other nights it was at minimum. No breakfast. The bedroom is bathroom. And the worst part of all that, you have life in bed...

Bed bugs can be brought home for free! No light, an old and damaged room, central heating off and sometimes weak, you can hear everything perfectly in the neighboring rooms. I slept in a sweater. I have traveled to many countries and I think this is the worst hotel. To escape, it is better to sleep in your car or spend a sleepless night than to go there and bring back bedbugs.

had 2 nights here was nice was left alone and the person who owned it was potlie and helpful let us leave our bag to room was just a room with a shower and bathroom so was good if you want somewhere for one or 2 nights maybe not kore than that as towels and cups arnt changed while there but for the price was perfect

Lovely stay and excellent location. Had absolutely amazing stay. Booked for 6 people and the room was spacious and impeccably clean. The location is great just 5 minutes from the tower. No breakfast but we knew that, there was issue with the light but the guy fixed it quickly. Recommended!!

Compfy sleep after work. Came to Blackpool for work and location is good. Host was friendly and nobody check on you like other b&b when u r coming and going. Will definitely return again.

Very happy with my stay. Receptionist was brilliant and provided good customer service. Couldn’t do enough for us. Very fresh smell from the room and tidy. Very happy for the price we paid.

Room were cold and damp It more like a hostel than a hotel Mold come through ceiling Walls were damp the rooms Nothing like the photos that u See would not recommend To any to stay there i certainly Won't go back to that hotel

we had second trip at blackpool central hotel , much upgraded , great hospitality and great customer services best place for family since they have massive family rooms. shall come back.

great as always , wonderful , nice , clean and pleasant people to deal with always happy to help witha positive attitude.great welcome , offered help with suitcases and a travel cot for free of charge which we forgot to bring along.

In the brochure the rooms looked very nice when we arrived for a five night stay we walked past as could not see name very well due to scaffolding up the front the proprietor was very nice and accomodating the room was not what we expected at all very disappointing it was small nowhere to put anything had to put phone and drinks on floor if someone came in it could have been knocked over the window was cloudy so couldn't see out curtains hanging off and dirty the blinds only came half way over the window and curtains did not draw across properly so not much privacy even though you couldn't see through it, the bathroom was a shower a sink and toilet decor very poor and sliding door and handle was hanging off not what I expected to pay just short of £500 pounds for the television was high on the wall so could not see it it was always breaking up so in all very disappointing and got charged another £40 just for extra night their not disabled or child friendly as no lifts.also no food or bar so cost a lot to eat out all the time. I would say it was very clean.

Oh my days where to start..absolutely awful ..the pictures are very misleading looks fresh and bright but don't let that fool you ..the whole building as soon as you walk in has such a strange vibe to it felt very uneasy !! The rooms we stayed in were so small and smelly ..stains on mattresses and could barely sit on the toilet seat as the bathrooms are small and narrow and the sink was under my knees while sat on toilet didn't even want to take a shower in there felt I needed one as soon as walked out of there to wash the dirt and smell off me... I'm not one for bashing someone's livelihood but by god never again ...booked in at the may dean Hotel near South pier and its brilliant in comparison.. were currently staying in the family room and relaxing after an awful nights sleep there!

Appsolutely disgusting white stains on beds and red spots on the bed The place smelt funny I booked a superior sweet Got a bedroom with all beds cramed in Carpet was dirty WiFi doesn’t work Scaffolding all up the building Bathroom floor tiles were cracked and poorly covered by matts Shower tiles were cracked My partner refuse to put our children in the shower it was that bad There was a post not attached to the toilet Saying hold to get a proper flush Out and out discusting The room I got wasn’t even the one advertised After all of this We checked in to a lovely hotel called fair view hotel Witch I got a full apartment for the same price I paid Trying to get a refund Because now I paid for 2 hotels for one night So my children could sleep in comfort 200 each hotel Costing me £400 total for one night stay Not happy at all And booking . Com are use less at customer service can’t get through to them at all it’s a ghost site Fair view hotel highly recommended Parking available to rear of property Nice beds fresh bedding spacious. The man who delt with us very friendly and couldn't do enough for us , let us leave are bags in a safe and secure place way before our check-in, room was spotless and smelt very fresh lovely modern bathroom . Would recommend.

Basic but very clean and comfy beds. Had a great 3 days stay. Staff very accommodating and friendly. 2 mins walk to coral Island and tower. Quite close to the rest of the places.

Dirty room , shower not fit for use , outside and rooms nothing like photo's scaffolding and rubble all over front , more like a doss house than hotel , avoid at all costs

Great host, issues with door, sorted straight away, clean comfy bed, will definitely stay again, still at the hotel at the moment. Could do with a bar! generally a great ltitle hotel 10/10 to the the people who run it.

Owner is pleasant and helpful and bed was comfortable. However, that's about as good as it gets I'm afraid. Furniture looked like it was bought from a boot sale and the bathroom was so small I had to squeeze around the sink to reach it. The shower, which I didn't use as we were there for one night was disgraceful to be honest. The tiles where dated with obvious amateur tiling and patch up jobs everywhere. The shower head actually had mould on it, I was in fear of leagonella. He's either just started and shouldn't have opened yet or he's just making money and has no intentions of improving. Either way, we won't be returning as the homeless seemed to have more comfort than us. I do not recommend I'm afraid. He has to up his game.

Very uncomfortable beds bed shakes you can feel the spring in beds

A very good budget hotel. Room was specious. Very very nice staff. Had fresh towels. We were asked few times if we need any bedding change or anything else . Paying £15 a person for a night and getting basic facilities and so close to blackpool tower what else you expect. We saw the manager struggling with making people understand for parking where as its clearly mentioned on their page about parking that they don’t have any parking but nearby places. There are many car parks around. Its a small b&b and having a clean and fresh room for this cheap price is a real good deal in Blackpool. Would highly recommend to people .

Myself and partner just stayed for the week last week and felt right at home the whole time. Good sized room, very spacious, comfy bed, great shower and lovely staff/owner. Staff were very accommodating to anything we needed! Thanks for a lovely stay! Ricky and Lynsay from Room 6.

Friendly staff. Helped with all our needs. Nice and clean room. Towels and bedding was also fresh and clean. Everything was on walking distance.

Was nice and prices were good but you get what you pay for. Photos were misleading and room was much smaller than I thought as was the bathroom. Bed was comfy though. Unfortunately there is no elevator and no rooms on ground floor so was difficult with pram. Also, no breakfast included which was a bit sad as I had expected there to be as was written that it would be

Hotel was dirty ,smelly bedding was stained ensuite was in a dreadful state ,mould on the walls and tiles .I had updated booking to a superior room but wasn't upheld , was eventually moved to sister hotel which was just as bad as the first hotel, very smelly no am out of scented candles could hide it . Room wasn't cleaned ,bed wasn't made or bins emptied, when complained was told it wasn't practice to clean the rooms it wasn't a five star hotel !! Landlord was rude ,arrogant and never there wouldn't recommended this hotel to anyone ,was really only a guest house doesn't deserve one star never mind three

As you would expect from a value hotel

The rooms are clearly not cleaned properly. The drawers had old cereal in them and there were towels down the side of the bed that were not hotel towels. It's a very noisy place with thin walls. I complained about noise one night of my stay, there was very noisy arguing and shouting. It quietened down as soon as I rung making me thing it was the owners behaving this way. Pay more and stay elsewhere, it's not worth the money for a terrible night's sleep and unclean accommodation.

The room was far to warm...Windows couldn't be opened due to the ammount of noise from the fellow B&B next door as they have adult only weekends for stag and hen parties (should mention this on website) beds were so uncomfy I didn't sleep atall the two nights we stayed..the kids did due to keeping them entertained all day so they just fell asleep!!! No where to plug anything in...Host was lovely and it was clean just needs mentioning about the fellow BnB as it was a family room we booked so I was expecting to get sleep and it didn't happen..not worth 100 pounds a night as no breakfast included...Defo room for improvement

Great location near to beach and town centre, Absolutely pleasant and tidy rooms, amazing thing that makes this hotel as recommended place to stay are the staff.

Hotel needs done from outside to inside looks run down. owners were lovely as we arrived got booked in straight away but as we entered the hotel it smelt awfully disgusting! need a lot of money spent into it to bring it up to standard. Didn’t even seem like people were even in the hotel apart from me. Floor boards are sinking, windows are disgusting, loads of holes in the walls ( been tried to be filled in ) bathroom had mould all on the ceiling room bathroom mats were black had bare feet prints all over it needed a complete clean, could also hear a tv from next door all night and never went off. Room doors were lying open with bed sheets lying all over the floor out to the landing. We were told when we arrived that our room has just been cleaned and it really wasn’t cleaned at all were crumbs all over the seat! bedside cabinet was flaking off wood everywhere. Was constant banging coming from down the hall there was no WIFi even tho it specified there was, there has been no electricity the full first day. Had to clean the room handles and toilet myself had to go out and buy cleaning stuff my room smelt of cigarette !! I’m not booking into this hotel ever again pictures on the internet look nothing like it in person

This hotel was the worse place ive ever been to i was in the armed forces for 8 years so stayed in some bad places but this was the worse DO not stay here am not jokeing

My wife booked a room in here because it was close to the city center and our little girl had a dance competition there. The room looked okay on the photos and had some good reviews.In reality it is a pretty run down hotel. The room was tiny with a showerroom/toilet which was so small when I stood in front of the loo my bum touched the sink. The floor above us was unbearably squeky. The chipwood wallpeper seemed really thick and was probably painted numerous times and the whole place was just finished to a low standard. I would not recommend this hotel and will definitly not go back again.

Bed was ubcoftable tv not working cupboard was broken and shower was cold and had mild around toilet seat was loose the flushed was broken carpet had paint on them and was stapled down had to go out of my room go down 3 stair to use the toilet

It was a good and nice experience. The staff was very friendly. The manager was available to help in every possible way. I was given bunk bed for my kids and they loved it.

Dirty rooms, Wi-Fi at the second flour was not working, the towels were smelling very bad. Broken sink, and a continuously smell coming from the sewege pipes outside, the view is to be seen in the pictures. As I complained, there was an excuse for everything, so it seems to be a normal situation. The Socket beside the bed was not functioning, as the bed was coming directly on the switch button.

Very affordable and the staff are great. The location is very close to the Tower and beach. Rooms are a little on the small side and a bit cold in MAch, but staff provided great assistance throughout. Would book again.

Clean hotel with towels and soap provided Electricity included Very cold as heating went off part way through night but staff provided an extra heater, still cold in bathroom which was very small. Bathroom didn't feel separate so awkward for 4 sharing, also missing plug / door handle missing

An extensive fast food menu with prices that are average for a seaside town . The staff were polite and the service was quick . The tables and chairs were clean and tidy . The food was cooked well and was of a standard to be expected at a cafe such as this . Large portions which filled me .

The family and I arrived here for Tea. The menu looked good, there were tables inside and outside, there were seven of us. Three adults and four children. They had an okay kids menu, and I fancied fish and chips. I went inside and placed the order. The man on the till went through it all, took my name, and took my money. The food started to arrive pretty quickly, then the waited said, that's it? I said no, we are missing a kids meal, and adults meal and my curry sauce. He went back inside. About 10 minutes later, I went back inside and asked about the missing items, the man on the till went through the receipts, apologised, and said he would get the missing meals out as soon as possible. This he did, but the kids meal arrived after the other children had finished there meals, so the remaining child was not really in the mood to sit still and eat, as his siblings had started playing about. The adult meal arrived, and basically the person had to sit and eat it alone, as we had all finished, oh, and the curry sauce arrived, after I had finished my Fish and Chips, so was an absolute waste. If you are ordering ONE meal, they will probably get it right, and the Fish was quite nice, but take a family, and its awful.

The cafe was very busy so we ate outside but in illumanastions season expected food was quick hot and feed children quickly . staff on tables could do with a lesson in customer services old gent who was on tables was rude to my son who asked for napkin for mto wipe coke he had spilt up he was told go inside and give him a break only do one thing at a time we would of happily of waited till he had a moment and i found it annoying as he had plenty time to stop chatting to two ladies on table next to us get salt and ketchup for them knifes forks which every on else was getting them selves real shame as staff inside on till cooking where extremely polite and effichant one person let team down.

Visited on way back from town as we were a little hungry. We ordered 1 portion of chips and 2 jumbo sausages which we were charged nearly £9 for which if we had been a little drunk we wouldn't have noticed but luckily we did!! The Jumbo sausages were absolutely disgusting they were very dark in colour and tasted like very very old fat. They were so terrible i only had one bite and left them. Will definitely never return. If the food is this bad I can only imagine what the actual accommodation is like.

went in for breakfast (bacon roll and a chip bun)after ordering this I was given my coffee but after waiting half an hour I then had to ask where our food was was told it would be 2 minutes but after 5 it arrived without a can of orange juice for my husband so asked where it was and was told they didn't do glasses of orange I had already paid for this aswell or I would have walked out .there were 5 people working behind the counter and only 1 poor girl running around serving and cleaning the tables defo wont be back in there again and the food was tasteless

Popped in here for fish and chips after a day at the pleasure beach. Placed my order for takeaway at the counter for 2 small fish and 1 portion of chips. 20 minutes later I had not received them and after another family ordering after me and receiving their food I went up to the counter to ask how long it would be as it was now 7pm and I had a small child with me. I was told the checks had been mixed up and it was on its way. When I finally received the food half an hour after placing the order and paying £10 it was horrible. Mushy fish and cold chips. I barely received an apology and was not approached to be told that there was a delay in my order. Terrible service would not recommend and overpriced for substandard food. I work in the catering and service industry and would never usually leave a bad review on trip advisor but I feel compelled to share my experience on this occasion to warn others against this establishment.

We went in for good old fish and chips. We were not disappointed. My mother in law is elderly so had her shopping cart with her in which the staff kindly looked after so we could eat. Food was very good value, Staff very polite going out of their way to make sure we enjoyed our meal. A member of staff who came from the same part of Liverpool as my elderly father in law had a bit of banter with him which made him smile. Very good offers on too for top tasty food. Place was very clean, Few young members of staff who were very polite and well mannered. I will defo be back here again nexxt time visiting Blackpool. Also told they have a hotel next door but as we were only visiting for the day was no good to us but if the hotel is anything like the cafe it may well be worth a visit in the future.
