Wonderful Pub. My wife and I visited your pub last night with two friends that live in Flitwick. Team Blackbird couldn’t have been more welcoming and the food, drink, and atmosphere were of the highest local pub standard! Thank you for your kindness, and wonderful fish and chips! Ed

Great pub with exceptional value, especially if you want to eat. I take the family here often, and I’m always blown away by the service and food. They do all of this for a fraction of the cost when compared with the overpriced pubs in Ampthill (WhiteHart take note). Recommend to anyone.

Good pub with typical pub food. While we were there, there were 2 different football teams, and while it took a while to get our food, the staff did a great job with the large amount of people they had to accommodate. My children loved the small play area and the outside tables are well maintained. Definitely enjoyed our time and will be sure to visit again.

Lovely spot for a well priced and great portioned Sunday roast! All of us had a roast, one beef, one turkey and two duos - a bit of each - delicious. The beef was cooked to perfection, turkey was succulent and juicy. The cauliflower cheese is fabulous - I wish I could cook it like that at home! The vegetables were perfectly cooked and the stuffing was great too. The young lady who served us at the bar (Lauren maybe) was helpful and polite, whilst warm and welcoming. She was knowledgable about the drink selection and nothing seemed too much trouble. The price point here is really great, for such a large meal. Yes you can get a cheaper roast elsewhere but it won't be as tasty. The chap who brought the food out to us (didn't catch his name but he had a beard and glasses) was very attentive, asked if we needed anything else and came back to check everything was to our liking. We were so full after the meal that we had to share desserts - they sounded too good to pass up! A delightful crumble with ice cream and a moist chocolate brownie with ice cream - scrummy. We can't wait to return to our new discovery and sample more of the menu - although it was mentioned they have a new menu coming soon which we're looking forward to trying. It was very busy on Sunday afternoon when we visited but the atmosphere was really lovely and staff couldn't do more to help us. Thank you to everyone at The Blackbirds who made our visit five star!

Absolute gem of a pub. They had live music on Friday and it was a bustling and positive atmosphere. Great food at affordable prices. The staff are warm and welcoming and give great service. The pub itself is always clean and tidy and we’re looking forward to warmer weather so we sit in the lovely garden!

Great pub, great atmosphere. We came in on a Sunday, last minute and the staff were very accommodating with our pram, Ally in particular was amazing with the kids. Food was great value for money and staff were really friendly.

It’s ok as far as a village pub goes just not much room to manoeuvre. Staff seem friendly (to locals.) not the best not the worst, you won’t leave feeling drunk or happy with the prices. At least there isn’t WE40 all over the toilets though to stop the old Hollywood cold warm up.

Ryan and Ally were very friendly and attentive. The food as always was incredible, previously had a roast which is well worth a try. Today I tried the stake and ale pie which was very scrumptious.

I like coming into this pub for a meal. The relaxing atmosphere I here allows me time to chill and read a book. The food is delicious (especially the Halloumi fries!!). Would recommend for met ups with friends, family or even by yourself. Until next visit.

Stopped here for our dinner by chance. The food was lovely, tasty and hot. As for the staff you could't wish for a more friendly bunch of people. A shame the pub is a 2 hour drive from home or it would definitely be our local.

Had the beef burger with bacon, pulled pork and some cheesy garlic bread. Food was perfect. Closest I’ve had to a spiritual awakening - absolutely loved it. The food came out very quickly, and tasted even more rewarding than a yearly pay raise. Lauren was really helpful and friendly behind the bar. Ally gave 10/10 customer service (arguably the best I’ve had in years) and made the trip 100% worthwhile. Would come back again in a heartbeat!

Ally, Nikki and Jake all have us wonderful service, couldn't do enough for us. Lunch was delicious and an absolute bargain! Will definitely be back and especially in summer to enjoy that pretty outdoor area

Great pub with extremely enjoyable atmosphere. Food was varied and everyone got something they wanted. Good selection of alcohol free options and the staff were extremely friendly and helpful. They checked all of the food was good and we were happy. Thank you!

Part if a big party, pub very busy due to another event being held there, were told there would be a wait for food but delicious when it arrived, everyone happy

Lovely food and drink but a little bit expensive for drinks and service could be better, young staff and didn't seem to want to be working.

We.popped in for a spot of lunch on our way through. The pub is nice, the bar staff friendly. The food however, couldn't have been more bland. 3 small plates of disappointment, and an overcooked burger that had no seasoning, was missing the mayo and had the saddest amount of salad. The tastiest morsel on the table was the sausage we bought for the dog. Edited to add: by the time Sam came back to check if the food was ok, we'd eaten half of it. It's also hard to complain about food that isn't really wrong, but also isn't really right either. We chose your pub for a quick lunch as the reviews for the food (especially the burgers) were good. So if my review saves someone from a disappointing meal, then my work is done.

A crowd of us called in there last friday and had a very pleasant evening sat in the garden.

Staff were brilliant last night from 7:30 onwards big thanks to them for trying their best to keep up with our drinks orders prices were good for drinks and garden was nicely spaced for all of us to sit and chill in as well would recommend

Average visit... cheap cocktails and alright garden with heat lamps.. however my friends portions of chips was mouse sized and my burger was nothing special... just stick to the long island ice teas all night and thank me later 😂

Food is generally quick and what you expect. Beer choice is a bit uninspiring - maybe that's cause I'm not a lagerboy and don't like Greene King much

What a hidden gem! Came here for the first time, had the most amazing tasty burger I have ever had and I am really fussy with burgers. Staff are lovely and helpful. Will definitely be back.

Popped down on a Sunday evening and was informed of a delay, I honestly didn't even notice the delay if it was even the full 30 minutes. To be honest i would expect some time for the food to come out anyways so i was pretty happy to wait and i was glad i did. The we ordered two steaks, a rump and a sirloin, with two sides. The steaks were cooked to perfection medium - rare and although they were busy the service from the staff the quality of the food was banging! A lovely experience and we definitely return in a week or two.

Quite disappointing. Service was really slow, waited a long time for our orders to be taken. The portion of scampi and chips would have been fine for a child definitely not for an adult. Plus side the pub was warm.

Good pub food at reasonable prices. Very helpful staff. A range of real ales with a discount for CAMRA members. Handy for public transport, with a bus stop outside and Flitwick station 10 minutes walk away.

We always try to come along to the Monday night quiz whenever we can and frequently eat at the blackbirds, who are dog friendly which is brilliant. Ryan does a great job of running the quizzes and we can't say enough good things about him in general, he is friendly and helpful and we always have a good laugh 🙂

We have been in for food several times, always been great and this one time (at band camp 🤣) we got coerced into taking part in the charity quiz by Ryan. We come now every week most weeks eating as well. What a credit he is to not only the blackbirds but Greene king! Fantastic customer service nothing is too much bother for him and the quizzes are so much fun. Great guy don’t lose him!

Fantastic spot for a relaxing lunch with good food and great service. I have specific requirements and I really appreciated Lauren taking the time to clarify exactly how I wanted my order, rather than a lot of other places that just assume and serve food with things you don't want/that ruin the meal. First off the staff are very friendly and welcoming. The food is amazing, I visit a lot of Greene king pubs and this one is the best by far. Me and my friends had a lovely meal and we all agreed it was the best food from any pub in ages. I highly recommend their burgers. The pub itself is very clean and also a warm atmosphere. Would recommend to anyone.

Tried the senior lunch for the 1st time and found it very good value for money and will definitely be going again. Service was also very friendly.

Knew this was going to be bad when they tell you what they haven't got on the menu. Being Sunday, you would have thought they would of least had the Sunday roast but no!. Saff wee friendly but the service was very slow and the food was not good at all. Their pies are meant to be award winning but 3 of us had pies with no meat just sauce and grissle. Will not be going back.

visited the Blackbirds today to meet up with family, we were welcomed quickly and seated at a lovely table, Liam made sure we all had menus and asked if we wanted drinks. Throughout our whole stay everything was perfect, the food was hot and delicious and the team clearly love their job as nothing was too much trouble thank you for the visit we look forward to coming back again soon

Went here with my family for a meal out, the bar staff and front of house staff were very helpful, food came out within 20 minutes and was very good, a waiter came to ask how it was and we said it was amazing and to put our compliments to the chef, would definitely come here again 100%

Used to show live sport but despite numerous TVs no longer have Sky or BT - likely to lose a lot of custom because of this. Don’t bother going to their sister pub either

Great place for a meal. Child friendly, small but big enough play equipment in the large garden. Food arrived in good time and the staff were super friendly and helpful.

Lovely Sunday Roast here today.Staff really good people. Food very nice reasonably priced.Would do it again .Just one little pick the potatoes were smallish no problem with that at all very nice but if only they had put 5 on not just 3 it would really top it off.

Pretty standard fayre. Simple pub grub (pies very nice). Prices reasonable big outside areas. Worth popping in.

The food was OK. Went on a Friday night early about 6.30 pm. Our food was good but once delivered we didn't have cutlery brought to us, and waiter said he would go and get it straight away asked if we wanted any sauce, my husband asked for a spicy one. After watching him serve about 3 other customers my husband had to go and ask for them. The spicy sauce was never delivered either. We didn't bother asking for it.

Hmmm not the greatest. Food was poor, had Bao buns and I dont think two little pieces and a shed load of chillies are what Greene King meant. I've had the same dish in another GK pub and it was tastier than what the blackbird served, my friend had the wraps and they fell apart and tasted awful..we were driving and the post mix coke was more water than coke, will not be returning and there's better pubs in Flitwick.

Interesting, had bao buns with sweet chilli chicken and basically got a small piece of fried chicken, piled with chillis and a smidgen out sauce, very disappointed but thats a Greene King pub for you..

Love this pub and very happy it's reopened. Most of the staff are lovely. Happy to be a regular. Leah is the best staff member. Love her! Always nice and helpful. Give her a raise!! She keeps this pub on its feet! Weekend staff are pretty unprofessional and need training. Prefer the staff in the week who know what they are doing. 3rd time we have been offered a free drink due to bad food so not great but it's appreciated. Would rather the service/food to be as advertised.
