Lovely place to dine ,good food at reasonable prices

On a visit to Coventry my wife and I popped in here only for a drink but we ended up eating here too. We had steaks that were lovely. The staff were attentive and friendly. The restaurant was quite busy late afternoon but by 7ish the place was empty. This was on a Saturday night and was a shame to see. I would recommend a visit.

Excellent service from Sneha this evening. Came out for a works meal and the service was excellent. Suggested items from the menu which all turned out to be fantastic. Wine suggestions were very good.

This was our first visit, and it certainly will not be our last! What an amazing experience! After a friendly welcome we had the “sour gastronomique” menu with the wine pairings which is amazing value. The food was beautifully presented, really tasty and good portions. The service from Annie and also the barman was superb - although our initial server, possibly the manageress as she was in a different uniform (?) was less friendly. The ambience and atmosphere was excellent - surprising for midweek but very welcome!

Wanted a nice meal whilst in Coventry and came across Bistrot Pierre in the centre of the shopping area. The place has a great atmosphere and the food was excellent and the staff members were all very helpful and friendly, especially Annie who recommended a particular dessert which was indeed really good. Not an expensive place to eat and will be going again. The place is on the first floor so you will see wooden steps leading up to the restaurant but there is a lift in the left hand side as you go in.

I had two visits recently to Bistrot Pierre in Coventry, lunch on 31st January 2025 with my Ladies group of 10 as usual (yes we have been a few times before) we had a lovely lunch and had fabulous service by Anneta . I also had a lovely meal on Tuesday 4th February with my husband and family for our twins special birthday and again a very warm welcome and great service made special by Sneha this time. Since this restaurant opened in Coventry I can honestly say I have always had fabulous meals from Brunch , Lunch , Afternoon Tea to Dinner. Highly recommend ! Manager Abel excellent and your staff are all excellent too thank you !

Only popped for a quick drink -staff were attentive and very welcoming and the cocktails were lovely.

By far the worst of the Pierre restaurants, awful staff attitude, especially the guy that greets at the door with the pubescent mustache and tied back hair. Basically its like buying a fake, doesn't at all represent a true reflection of the Bistro Pierre chain. However the Leicester branch is worse Avoid avoid avoid

Issue with the meat but the staff was amazing to a) spot it and b) deal with it!

On Wednesday 11th i booked a table for 8 on Sunday 15th. Paid £80 deposit and sent a pre order link that was accessible until Thursday lunchtime. Party members didn’t get back to me in time to make the preorder deadline. I called Sunday morning to give it over the phone but was told no longer needed. We a long wait for mains, didn’t order starters. We assume this was because we couldn’t submit pre order. When food arrived it was lovely. A variety of mains and desserts were ordered, including vegetarian and from kids menu. Food was fab. Service was lacking. Only got one order of drinks in. Took ages to flag someone down for bill and they brought a jug of water instead. The deposit wasn’t listed on bill so queried it. Was brought a piece of paper to write my name on, even though the table was booked under my name. Just took ages. Table was booked for 1.45. Left around 4.15. Glad we didn’t order starters, wouldn’t have had time for three courses given time allocated. Would have liked to have coffee/cocktails after dessert.

I went along for a Christmas lunch with some of my work colleagues yesterday. I have to say that the service was very friendly and very attentive. Everybody enjoyed the food and the atmosphere was very warm. I would definitely recommend this restaurant.

I ordered the vegetarian parsnip and chestnut tart, expecting it to be served with a side of potatoes and vegetables like a proper main course. Instead, the entire dish consisted of a small tart, barely taking up a quarter of the plate. An absolute joke for a main course, especially when other mains came with meat, roast potatoes, and vegetables. It's ridiculous to think anyone would consider this an acceptable option. I felt completely ripped off and will never return to this place. Disgusting.

Another excellent meal at Bistro Pierre. Had the festive menu, delicious food and brilliant service as always from Marco and Annie. We have been to Bistro Coventry a few times now and never disappoints. Breakfast is particularly excellent. In my opinion one of the best restaurants in the midlands

We were received very well by Ines. She had a big smile on her face and was very professional and friendly. The food was great but the customer service made it even better.

A good standard of food at reasonable price but for me not quite as good as it has been elsewhere, notably Leamington Spa and Plymouth. Our absolute favourite starter is French onion soup but they have done something weird with the crouton which is now rock hard whereas they used to float a baguette crouton in the soup. It's just not as tasty. Steak was requested medium rare but came well cooked not even a hint of pink which was disappointing. We can't even recommend sticky toffee pudding any more. This used to be a wonderful slab of pudding but has been downgraded to a stick toffee madeleine, tiny and dryer in comparison.

Superb address where you can enjoy excellent brasserie-style dishes. The evening I went to Bistrot Pierre in Coventry, there weren't many people there, hence the atmosphere was a bit sad, but it was a Thursday evening during the week. As for the food, however, everything is delicious, fresh and well presented. Thanks also to Izzy for her kindness and the quality of her service. I highly recommend Bistrot Pierre.

Food was excellent, tasty and well presented. Service very good. Early evening quite busy, but no rushing. Will definitely eat there again. Creme brulee exceeded my expectations!

The bread served was almost too hard to bite into, and the sea bass turned out completely inedible. The new potatoes were barely cooked—still hard—and the sea bass itself was tasteless and very overcooked. It’s such a shame, as I’d been genuinely looking forward to this meal.

Attentive and friendly service from Izzy, good menu selection and our choices from the Autumn menu really enjoyed. A quiet lunchtime but a lovely restaurant with good facilities and a lift .

Had a fabulous celebration at Bistrot Pierre in Coventry recently. We were celebrating my mum's 90th birthday and all of the staff went the extra mile to make the celebration extra special. The food was excellent along with the service. Sneha especially, was very helpful. A lovely place to spend a few hours.

I recently visited Bistro Pierre in Coventry, and I had an incredible dining experience. The food was absolutely amazing—every dish was packed with flavor and beautifully presented. Two of us had brunch - full english. Good service and nice food!

I really love this place. Service is fantastic no matter who you speak to, food is really great and well seasoned, drinks are fantastic and the place itself is beautiful, when they have some music is also very great. The only care point I can mention is, I've always ordered either meat or fish and they were perfect, once I've been with a friend, she ordered chicken, it was roasted but not even reminding crispy as promised. I didn't reduce the stars due to loving it in average, but I know my friend won't be back...

We eat lunch here quite regularly with friends and the food and service are consistently at a good level. The serving staff (particularly Izzy) go out of there way to please.

Had a celebrity night. Staff have been very accommodating. Food very enjoyable. Looking forward to coming back. Would definitely recommend

Fab evening at Bistrot Pierre, so good we went both nights we were in Coventry! A big shout out to our waitress Annie and the French general manager (sorry we never caught your name) who were fantastic. Food was good , moules on the second evening in particular. Adding to the overall experience was having a trained sommelier to advise on wine pairings. Definitely recommend, just disappointed there isn’t a Bistrot Pierre in or near London .

Lovely atmosphere. Great waiting staff. Didn't feel rushed( busy Saturday), therefore was able to enjoy the food in a relaxed state. Food was good & tasty, better than other chain restaurants. Menu changes seasonally which makes us return frequently. Good wine also much better than other chains. Nice location - looks over the Godiva statue in City centre. We went for the muscle fest & were not disappointed!.

We met with my student grandson and his girlfriend and decided to have a meal at Bistrot Pierre in Coventry city centre. Not having visited the Coventry restaurant before, and based upon the food and service we've experienced at the Royal Leamington Spa restaurant, we decided to try it it. We were not disappointed. The food, service and ambience were equally as good as the Leamington restaurant. My grandson presented his student card and got us a 20% discount which made it even better. I had, though, forgotten that Bistrot Pierre add a discretionary % service charge to the bill thereby removing tipping anxiety. It is discretionary and therefore you are not obliged to pay it. We were happy to do so.

Waited half an hour at the table and no one came to take the food order or drinks. There were only 4 other tables being served . The waitress would look over smile at my family and then start cleaning tables or pick up menus and shuffle them. The maitre d at the door only paid attention when we walked out and she offered to take the order as we were leaving. Bad attitude and bad service. Never going back.

Don't waste your time. Just walked out of the Coventry branch having waited for 20 minutes hoping that someone would take our order. Gave up waiting and left Got the distinct impression we weren't welcome. Moved a few doors down to Las Inguanas whete

I love going here. My partner, her mother and myself had booked a table for early afternoon to celebrate my partner's birthday. The food was delicious, good portion sizes and Annie was lovely as always. We all enjoyed our meals, prices are reasonable (nowhere is, what I would call, cheap to eat anymore) and I recommend eating here for a good experience. Only one thing - when we asked for the bill we requested that the service charge was left off, so that we could leave a cash tip. However, the service charge was still included, so it's worth checking that before leaving a tip. I'm assuming that the service charge does go to the staff?? I hope so, because they deserve it!

Booked here for Sunday Lunch. There are not many places in the City Centre for Sunday Lunch and I must admit I didn’t come with massively high expectations. However very happy to be proved wrong. There were some good deals on Sunday Lunch as well as the ordinary menu. Renata our waitress was helpful and attentive and all our lunches were very good. Desserts are a little on the pricey side but they were also very good and I would definitely come here again.

We went as a group of 25 for a work meal and couldn't have been happier with the experience. Sneha was so kind and friendly to us all, and even when we caused mayhem trying to rearrange chairs and tables, she helped us out so that we could all see each other and talk easier. The food was lovely, everyone was talking about how much they enjoyed it & very good portion sizes as well. Thank you all!

We had chosen this place because of its attractive dinner menu, its very central location and the good reviews. What we had expected was a bustling French bistro. What awaited us was an empty restaurant, where we were basically the only customers, except for one other table. So it felt bereft of any atmosphere. Maybe we just happened to be there on the wrong day of the week, given that it was a Monday, which tends to be a slow day in general. The service was good, and I loved the pre-dinner drink (Aperol Spritz). Unfortunately, the chicken I had ordered turned out to be charred in places, and tasted like it as well. So I had to scrape some of the charred bits off. The mash and runner beans were delicious, but not quite enough to make up for the charred meat, which was really a shame. I assume it was just a bit of bad luck for us that day, and I don't necessarily see it as a reflection of the restaurant in general.

The food was good for the price. I was expecting to have a slightly larger portion (hence the 4 stars). The waitress (Aayushi) was friendly and served the food in a very timely manner; good service. In the general the environment was nice but, in my opinion, it was quite clamp for a 10 people gathering. Maybe it would be alright for others. Definitely a recommended place with friendly waitresses and good food (even though it is slightly expensive).

Went in for a lovely brunch around 11 am had such a great time. We ended up staying for lunch as well. This is a testament to their great food, service and atmosphere. Couldn’t recommend it more.

From the warm welcome to the farewell, everything was A1 The food was served promptly, hot, well presented and tasted delicious! We chose the 3 part set menu, which didn’t disappoint, as usual for us we both had different dishes (so 6 in total) to judge and taste and all were superb. The service from Hina was amazing. She was polite, friendly and super efficient without being overpowering. Good luck with your future studies Hina!

Want to say a big thank you to Annie and the team for the amazing service on Saturday night (29/06) I booked a table for my sister in law to be’s hen dinner and Annie made the whole night perfect, it was some of our party members first visit to Bistrot Pierre and they loved the atmosphere, food and the service and will be back again.

Very quiet for a Friday lunchtime but service was good. Sneha, our waitress, was friendly and helpful. Houmous and smoked salmon starters were tasty and nicely presented. Roti chicken was tasty but skin needed to be crispier. Moroccan tagine was delicious. Similar to Cote chain of French restaurants. Would recommend.

I had lunch with a friend here yesterday, I have been many times, the food is as always lovely but can't praise enough the fabulous waitress Annie, she is just wonderful, so friendly and helpful, nothing is too much trouble. Thank you Annie for making it a lovely experience.

This was really disappointing. We didn't enjoy the food at all. Tasted tired and like it had just been warmed from last night. We avoided pudding as the main was so poor. £50 for 2 unhappy people. Never again.

Came with family of three for a dinner on Sunday evening. Without us, it’s been 4 other tables in the whole restaurant. Ordered from menu pierre. Starters came okay-ish. Camembert was really thin, barely enough for 2 slices of bread. Calamari salty. For our biggest surprise fishcake came deep fried. Been having this dish every time we come to bistrot and it never been like that. When we asked our lovely waitress about it, she escalated that to a chef who claims that every branch does it the same to save time. I am wanting to clarify that a deep fried fish cake with potatoes and salad with dressing is 508 calories as advertised on the menu? I have been following a strict diet since giving birth which includes me having to count my calories. I was told with 100% confidence by the chef that the new deep fried version of the fishcake was the same calories as the menu stated so I went ahead and ate it on the evening but I am now hoping that someone more senior could confirm that he was telling the truth and following the spec and not taking a shortcut. We will also checking that in our local branch Leamington spa when we are next in. I sincerely hope that I haven’t been lied to in order to save time. As well, would like to mention extra charges which we were not made to be aware of. We were offered bread board with our chorizo. It arrived with garlic butter which was nice, for extra £1 charge which was not mentioned. Moving forward my partner had steak waitress asked about sauce garlic or mushroom and we were not made of aware that it was extra £2.5 charge for a jug of sauce which looked just like starter mushroom on toast just with a little of truffle oil. Do not get me wrong we don’t mind paying extra just would like that it would be mentioned and not just put on the bill for us to figure out later on. Many thanks Akvile J

Have been here twice now, and both times the food quality was pretty good, but not exceptional. The calamari and pea soup both stood out as amazing, while the other dishes we had such as the honey pork medallions were good but could have been better. Additionally, the restaurant has a nice environment and service was good, and it is not too pricey.

Server look annoyed we came that late. You could really see that she was annoyed with us and gues hoped to go home early. Food just bad . I had a dish with side of mashed potato. However! It was not fresh! When served the potatoes had developed a thick, unappetising skin on top, suggesting it was either old or had been kept under the heat for too long! Or simply microwaved and not stirred. When complain to waiter they fixed it however the manager assured me it is fresh. Fresh mashed potatoes look different when I cook them, this looked like few days old to me! On top of it all, bad quality of food and miserable waiter, they put service charge on our bill! Seriously ?

We enjoyed the 6 course taster menu which had good variety and some great flavours. It was also a substantial amount of food split across the dishes - not so tiny that you feel the need to eat more afterwards. Our server Annie was very welcoming and nice, and accommodating by letting us sit outside and then move inside when it got cooler. Sitting outside was great, and the service was impressively prompt which made it all the better.
