Bistro 101 in Harrow

We love eating at Bistro 101 - the food is great and the service is wonderful. So we asked if we could hire the entire restaurant for a family occasion. Maria and the team couldn't have been more helpful. We worked together to plan the menu and the decorations and make sure that it would be a really special evening. We had drinks and canapes for our guests on arrival and then a delicious three course meal. The food was excellent and the staff looked after everyone fabulously. There isn't a single thing that could have been improved. If you are looking for somewhere local for a lovely meal with excellent service in a lovely setting then Bistro 101 is where you should go.

What a gem of a place. We had no expectations and were impressed from the start. We went for lunch on a week day. What a pretty little restaurant with outdoor seating too. We were greeted by a friendly waiter who looked after us all through our meal. The mushroom soup was very tasty. 2 of us ordered the salmon which turned out to be a generous size fillet nicely cooked. It was served with mashed potato and broccoli. The apple crumble desert was delicious. We will definitely return and perhaps try the lighter brunch menu next time. We were glad to have discovered a new little eating place in our area. We parked further up Stanmore hill on the other side of the road - no charge or restrictions. The toilet facilities were of a good standard and were very clean.

We visited this fabulous little Resteraunt over the weekend and were so happy that we chose it. Both the food and service were second to none. We appreciated the very attentive service from our waiter Devon and also the Chef Patron coming to our table to ensure everything was ok. All in all a wonderful experience. We will definitely be going back.

We went on Saturday night with one other couple. I had the prawn curry starter (incredibly tasty) followed by the lamb (tender and cooked to perfection). Round the table there were two mushroom soups with truffle and asparagus as starters - all delicious. Aside of my lamb there was an order of steak and two celeriac steaks. All very rich and cooked with incredible attention to detail. We shared a desert an imaginative deconstructed apple pie - no complaints there either. Portions were all a good size and we were super happy with the food. Service was attentive without being too intrusive and the overall experience was improved by a complimentary post meal shot. A chat with the friendly chef/owner was also appreciated. A flawless local restaurant, with high quality food and service - definitely recommended!

Lovely food at lovely restaurant, we were there for post Mothers lunch/brunch. Only comment needs a little ventilation as food smells hung around our clothes. Deven was our waiter and very obliging. We loved it. Lynda

This independent bistro shines with expertly cooked dishes in a charming setting with lovely attentive service (thank you Deven). A world away from factory churned, processed chain restaurants. I had lemon sole which came with a delicious warm, butter sauce with capers. The fish was large, fresh and faultless. Dessert was also great. The restaurant is compact but successfully balances unique and special without being stuffy. It’s a notch up whilst still casual enough and enjoyable. A great find.

We were looking for a quality non-chain restaurant to eat in. The service and food here is excellent. We had a wonderful dinner and every one of the dishes ordered (across a party of 5) was fresh and delicious. We will definitely be returning. Well worth a visit. Highly recommended.

This is great local restaurant. Our first visit but definitely not our last. We went with friends, two from out of town and two from abroad and vegan, which is why I chose here, as I saw their menu catered well for vegans. The vegans loved it and the restaurant were so accommodating, adapting a couple of dishes for them. I really enjoyed my starter of chicken wings and my main which was a delicious lemon sole served with chunky chips. Everyone loved their meal and it was great value too. Thank you also to Devon our waiter, who was helpful and delightful.

We went today having booked lunch . It was a Christmas present from Family . We are very particular when it comes to Eating out . My husband is Diabetic and the menu catered for his every need . The very attentive young lady and gent who served us were so lovely . The place looks small from the outside but it is a tardis When you get through the Door the Hospitality and friendliness is above and beyond. The menu was extensive The food quality was Outstanding presented lovely and tasted gorgeous The food was served promptly and was piping hot Basically go here it’s a new up and coming business and will not disappoint The Chef and Managers are business partners we learnt when we asked and what a great deuo they are who will do well Thank you again and we will pass the word of your outstanding efforts and deliverance for an amazing dining experience . My third visit and like the previous two just wonderful. The food is beyond awesome. The front of house ‘Maria’ is exquisite. Definitely my new favourite place and will be for many many years to come. No doubt of that. Truly wonderful restaurant, incredibly talented chef and truly beautiful hospitality.

I had the loveliest 60th birthday brunch with 25 family and friends. Food was outstanding and service exceptional. Such a warm, happy and welcoming Bistro. We will definitely go again and recommend to friends.

I have been to Bistro 101 a few times now, be it lunch, dinner or even brunch. This time was for Xmas, having seen the menu I thought it looked pretty good and good choices, although a slight change along the way which was not a problem at all. I liked that they asked for our choices, where we needed to, in advance that was good thinking. This is a small restaurant and that should be noted. Food/meal This was very good, cannot complain at all. Table It was evident they were really busy, we had to ask for the table to be set for us, which on one hand was fine as they wanted to seat us quickly so we were not standing around, but on the other, they were so busy, it felt like we were an after thought to actually set the table. Length of time This was quite along meal, in fact we had to cancel our taxi as we knew we were not going to be finished in time, we allowed 2 3/4 hours for the meal, there was 3 of us, we were in fact there around 4 hours and they did give us the mince pies to take away with us. Things I might consider to improve Xmas day service I think the service was very good, the team were very helpful and always helped where they could, cannot fault this, but there was not enough front of house team, this is a general issue in the hospitality industry and I am aware of this, but it meant the team were constantly rushing around trying to please everyone. I might consider having 2 or 3 sittings rather than trying to accommodate everyone’s preference for their own time slot which is a nice thing to do, but for the team it is really tough, Or to consider allowing more time between expected finish from a table, there is not enough space to wait if your early or even those seated not finished. Summary This is by no means a negative review and I would recommend this restaurant and I will return, but I want the feedback to be constructive and helpful.

What a fantastic experience! Recommended by friends,I was part of a party of 8 on New Year's Eve. The service was simply incredible Nothing was too much trouble whether that was a tweak to the menu or changing orders after choices were made. The food was fabulous. Tasty inventive and stylishly served. The atmosphere was brilliant. Vibrant, fun and cosy all at the same time. Would I go back? In a flash.
