Birds in Erewash

Love it!!! A shining beacon in the local area!!! Found this lovely bakery on the way to a site visit and there was a fantastic range of options available at breakfast. So good I got food for my dinner (that's much to any southerners) too!!! Thank you ☺️

Brilliant shop to have in the middle of the village. Cream cakes are to die for but much more on sale like bread and sausage rolls. Yum, yum all the way to the "tum"

Borrowash Birds is one of the best branches by far, always helpful, friendly and patient staff who work efficiently as a team and prioritise the customer rather than pretend not to notice or putting out more stock etc. The products Birds sell are always delicious though prices for some items have become out of reach for my budget, so more of a treat these days.

Went today shocked as small loaves increased by another 15p will not use them as frequently in the future becoming too expensive.Shame as the products are good but on a tight budget careful planning needed.

Whatever it is birds do with their bread... don't stop its delicious. And their hot sausage, apple sauce and stuffing cob just hits the spot nicely for breakfast when camping.

Nice food and reasonably priced too. Tasty coffee and bacon roll

My choice of bakery in Derbyshire, Nottinghamshire, Leicestershire or Staffordshire for more than fifty years. Unbeatable.

Amazing cakes - and sausage rolls! Been going to Birds for years and never had a bad experience.

Very rude tried to give me 2 caramel doughnuts when I asked for jam before mentioned it then switched gave me one doughnut which i didnt realise until back at the car.

Very Tempting Food, and local. But Very Very Busy

As a treat this place is hard to beat. Great selection of cream cakes. The vanilla slice is a carb feast but treat it like a recreational drug. Lol Pork pie likewise if you prefer savory.

Always lovely bread and pastries and the hot chocolate was tasty as well

Beautiful cakes. I’d be 50 stone if I lived near them. Great friendly staff. Always busy. But that’s a good sign isn’t it.

Everything is delish from here. Make sure you visit early in the day as they sell out quickly!.

Friendly, consistent, local bakery. Sausage rolls and famous pork pies. Bread, cream cakes, sandwiches, all produced locally.

Really sad to write this review as I love Birds... Just done my regular birds shopping and pointed out that one cakes I bought 2 days before was very dry, not her fault which I explained and as it was 2pm when I had purchased so I did expect some freshness still. The member of staff replied they do dry out and they can't do anything about it. I was quite surprised by the sterile response and lack of customer service. At least say would you like a replacement or I'm sorry! Generally a great shop and we will continue shopping but feel like we had no value as a customer!

Consistently excellent, fresh, tasty and beautiful tasting confectionary and savouries.

The staff were dismissive and argumentative,not going in there again!

Never been in this Birds before, but staff brilliant, asked if they had corned beef salad cob, but they had sold out. 😑 Lady at the counter made me one then and there. It tasted fantastic. Birds shops are always good, with the best food, bread, cakes and pork pie's to die for, but this branch made the extra effort for me. So, full stars! 💓
