Binch in Hackney

Genuinely surprised at the likes. Service abysmal. Tiny place and the server managed to ignore little ol' us for an unseemly long while while on Twitter, or something equally absorbing. Not backward in asking for a service charge, though.

Over priced wine delivered warm even though your paying £50 a bottle…the warmth and customer care is lacking - good to start but declined when it was clear that in experienced staff just wanted to clear you out like a Pub floor despite spending a fair amount on your over priced wine. Shame actually had potential and been a nice vibe. Oh dear…..just don’t sell expensive wine when 5mins later you’re gonna kick them out in a really rude manner! Just weird behaviour. Frigging Good luck - better places in town for sure!

Such a cute spot!!! Perfect intimate space for date night or a drink with a pal, the guy there was so friendly and cool. We had such a lovely time and he recommended such a lovely glass I had to leave with a bottle. Will be back for my dates 🥰

Sometimes I go to newish places in Hackney and despair. This was such a place.

Very cute neighbourhood bar. Felt super cosy and relaxed. Interesting wine menu, starting off generally around £8/ glass. Friendly and accommodating service. It gets busy so you might need to wait a bit for a seat to come free but it’s also a nice space to stand in. Will come again!

There are few places I get excited more about than going to Binch. Every time I'm there there's just yet another wonderful selection of wine to choose from that I can't resist. This place has a wonderful atmosphere, an incredible owner who cares deeply about his wines, beers and food and just a very cute spot. I go here regularly for a drink (read: several bottles of incredible stuff you won't find elsewhere) and to buy some wine. Sylvain will ensure you have a great time and the wine options are just amazing. Don't miss this gem of a place if you're around that area. Or if you're like me make an effort to go there.

Best bar, ever? Friendly French owner who runs it, incredible wine list, and brilliant craft beers on tap too. Do go.

A lovely wine bar hidden in the quiet side streets of hackney. Has a great selection of wine and nibbles with a lovely atmosphere. I would definitely return for another bottle or 2. The only thing is they no longer honour bookings from OpenTable. We were lucky and had 2 spare seats but the people arriving after us were not so lucky and they also had a booking with OpenTable.

Lovely intimate space in a tucked away corner of Hackney. The team are very knowledgeable about their wines; there were lovely orange, white and red natural wines to be sampled. The place had a real vibe…quintessentially trendy and yet also super relaxed. Great for a date or meeting a couple of friends.

Wonderful bar, met so many new lovely people here and the barman is a fantastic guy!

This is the real hidden gem in Hackney. Wine and beers selection is excellent. The music is top and the hosts are brillant.

What an amazing little place - great music, wonderful beer selection and what looks like a great wine selection (although we haven't sampled that yet). I am only sad that it isn't closer to my flat otherwise we would be here all the time. It is small but only helps with the atmosphere

Quality selection of wines and beer poured by Sylvain. We had a West Coast Pale Ale from the tap and glasses of Chenin Blanc. He also gave us a few other wines to try. Quaint spot to have a few drinks and takeaway a bottle for drinking at home.

The owner is a very nice friendly down-to-earth chap - very knowledgeable about his menu. Nice atmosphere, decor and all round good vibes. Much better than Wolfies (the previous owner).

Stumbled across Binch having left the pub cause it was too noisy. It was like an oasis of calm and quality rather than quantity. The barman was super friendly, it felt like halfway towards popping around to a friends house with the best beer and wine selection in town. Great artwork, interesting selection of beers, ales, pale ales, iPad's, stouts and sours. As well as wines. It's a small capacity place more geared to couples as a group of 5 would fill a third of the space! Its cosiness is part of its strength. Really glad we found it, looking forward to going there again to try something new in a relaxed, friendly atmosphere.

Micro (very) bar, very new in an area with lots of good pubs. But this one is different. 8 crafts from pale to porter. Go there as soon as you can and support Sylvain in his venture.

The place has been redecorated and it’s fabulous. Great beer selection with 6 taps and loads of cans and bottles in the fridge - Always rotating. Wine menu has a decent selection. The Olives are great!

A gorgeous little bar full of charm, delicious natural wine and incredible beer. Tucked away on a residential street it's a real hidden treasure. Owner Sylvain is a fabulous host too! 10/10
