Chips across all big johns no matter how fresh always taste like cardboard. For a chippy, the chips are not the one. Their cheeseburger is surprisingly good and their pizzas are not too bad. Only upside is they have a drive through and are 24 hours. An average 3/5 stars

1 star is to good. THIS IS THE WORST BIG JOHNS IV BEEN TO. THEY OVER CHARGE YOU MAKE UP THERE OWN PRICES. THE STAFF ARE VERY DISRESPECTFUL AND RUDE. THEY STAND THERE TAKING ABOUT YOU IN THERE OWN LANGUAGE , NO CUSTOMER SKILLS WHAT SO EVER. THEY RUSH YOU WHEN TAKING YOUR ORDER THEN GET YOUR ORDER WRONG , AND WHEN YOU TELL THEM ITS YOUR OWN FAULT. SORT OUT THE PLACE, LOOSING CUSTOMERS AND MONEY EVERDAY.

Been coming to this Big Johns since I have moved home and the service is terrible, one burger meal takes atleast 15 minutes to make, you ask for chilli and they give mayo because they have to many, I am used to the Lawley Middleway staff who are always busy and give great service, this one definitely needs improving

Tasty fast food, great service from the staff

We visit here quite often. It’s a drive thru or eat in. Wheelchair accessible and easy access to the building. I believe seating is fixed though so you would be in the aisle if unable to transfer to a regular seat from a wheelchair. EDIT REVISIT Kebabs were extremely dry. No taste or flavour anymore. Portion sizes have reduced. Not going to be a frequent visitor anymore. This place says it’s the first uk drive through chippy. I’ve never seen one before so maybe it is. The food is always cooked from fresh especially the burgers. Average waiting time for a drive thru order is between 10-20 minutes. Friendly staff and tasty food although the chips aren’t always the best. ANOTHER EDIT gave this place another try and I must admit the food has definitely improved.

I placed an order I got home and the order was incorrect! I had to drive all the way back to westbrom from b16 and my kids were upset as the food was for them. I got to the shop and the customer service was absolutely awful! The manager did not even sympathise, he said I can have something off the menu as compensation so I asked for Masala fish and chips and his reply was “that’s to expensive I can’t give you that” he said I can have wings instead! I refused as that’s not what I wanted and he did say “anything off the menu” Absolutely disgusting behaviour ! No customer service skills! No consideration that I had to drive 20mins there and 20mins back twice! With my crying children! I will never go back again! And I don’t recommend this place to anyone!

Staff where very helpful and food is always nice

The last time I visit! Even one star is too much, I bought a chicken burger for lunch, the middle was still cold - my lunch break had finished otherwise would have brought it back. In the past have had chicken wings and SFC chicken which has been pink - this branch really needs to up their game and cook their chicken fully.

The store itself looks like it hasn't changed since it was made the décor still looks to be from the early 2000's. Ordering the food was awkward, there are no indications where you are meant to order food or where to collect it from. It took about fifteen minutes for my food to be prepared and given to me, in that time I was almost given the incorrect food by the same server who I had given my order too. The food itself wasn't bad, it wasn't great but it wasn't bad. The food came out hot and freshly prepared but was lacking completely in flavour, it was completely covered in chilli sauce which when paired with mayo was enough to conceal the lack of flavour. Overall not somewhere I would go again.

Horrendous service, waited for 30 mins for a drive thru. Three items took 30 mins. A lack of inexperienced staff maybe the reason. A big mistake coming to this place.

My food never arrived waited over an hour just for my food. Went hungry, there were no updates on my order aswell. The address was clearly stated and a pin code was there why was the pin code not used for confirmation?

Order came early which we were happy about. The food as always nice and is what we expect.

The pizza was horrific. Extremely overcooked to the point all the toppings and cheese had turned crispy and rock hard. Also requested the pizza to be thin crust but the crust/base was more than an inch thick. Never again.

Ordered through Deliveroo for my vegetarian husband. They sent a meat pizza instead of the veggie one he asked for then refused to answer their phone when I tried to ring to correct it. Won't be ordering from here in the future. Waste of money

Ordered on just eat. To break Ramadan fast which was advised 45min to 60 mins . Arrived 2 hours called store many times no answer. Had to eat late , there delivery driver didn't speak a word of English so couldn't ask him why it was so late , food was so greasy it was disgusting tasted not fresh either. The most unprofessional restaurant I have ever been to. Order was ready to collect at 18:10 and they didn't hand the order over until 18:27. Very poor customer service. Do not recommend anyone to order from here, they do not listen to customers at all.

First of all I was overcharged and didn’t receive what I ordered and was stated on the receipt. To receive the correct food half an hour later( what drive through makes you wait half an hour!!). 2 hours since eating and both me and my cousin have been throwing up. AVOID!

delivered on time but the driver was very rude to me on the phone, claiming he was waiting for me but it turned out he was at the wrong address. I'm usually nice about things like this as my road name is common and it can easily be mistaken. but the way this gentlemen was speaking to me was so rude that I had to give him some lip back. he should also read the address properly before pinning the blame on the customer. food was topnotch but left a sour taste after my experience with the driver.

Hello, i made a delivery for the early hours of this morning. I payed by card and i missed it, why wasnt it left outside? It was payed for so its mine it should of been left...im not happy. I want a refund or the food re delivered

Food is obviously not what it used to be but the now rating is for the restaurant it self. Sitting here on 3rd dec 2024 at 8.40pm. This place was a as good as eating out in the cold. I asked the staff to put the heating up he said the heating wasn’t working. Which is quite sad. Because in a cold evening you’d like to enjoy warm food in a warm setting. But the cold is as such my nose is red and the food is loosing its quality quicker which is already questionable. Any way management needs to sort out the heating. And the pricing for that matter. Big Jhon’s was my go to place before. Now they can’t even put chilli sauce on your chips. They make you buy a pot. Which ok. But sometimes you want it over your chips. Any way fix up quick or you won’t last another 5 years.

They are literally the last place i ever go for food. Rude service order wrong. Same as macdonalds. Foods always wrong and when you ring to complain they cut the call off....

The person serving me was spot on, however I’m giving this a 1* review as they no longer put any sauce on the chips and ask you to buy a tub separate for 60p. I feel like this is a hustle as anywhere else would provide sauce on top.

Great value for money and chicken is lovely. My only complaint is that the mushy peas aren't mushy, they are still solid, very runny and cold. I'll certainly buy the chicken and chips again, but maybe have curry sauce next time.

I ordered masala fish with chips and salad, along with a lamb kebab wrap, and I was blown away. The masala fish was sublime—every piece was beautifully seasoned and absolutely delicious. Whoever made my food today deserves a promotion because it was truly exceptional and I’ll definitely be ordering it again!

AVIOD 🤮 was eating hot fiery loaded from big John found hair in my chips !!! Absolutely disgusting 🤢 hygiene is very poor . Staff should be wearing hairnets and beard nets !

First time i have used this app was very impressed great service friendly delivery driver.

The food was excellent. I had the meal deal as wasn't sure of how the food would taste. The meal deal was five pounds which includes a drink, the meal was plentiful/filling. Three of us ordered food, the total sum was less than 14 pounds. Big John's is an food establishment I've not used very often but, I will definitely be going back. Service and atmosphere was good/friendly.
