Big Chef in Wirral

Went in last night just as it was closing. The door was open, so I went in. The man was very annoyed that I was in there and said he'll only make chicken burgers. I didn't want that but was hungry. I asked when you close, he said now and looked at me like an idiot. I asked a simple question. He started talking in another language, and that usually means he's swearing about someone and you can't understand it. Will never use it again. I was trying to help a local company, I'll just Uber or just eat in the future.

I have placed an order here since they opened never had a problem keep up good work

The food was so cold and horrible

Good quality food tasty as usual

The only thing I did not receive the drinks I aid for with my order. However I received a full refund for the drinks. The food was very nice as always.

Food is soggy and I left a note asking the driver to not ring the door bell, and he pressed, woke up everyone in my house so thanks for not reading the notes before delivering food

The delivery driver was not only rude but didn’t even acknowledge myself plus the fact he was on his phone talking to someone else very rude indeed.

I ordered chicken kebab husband got mixed kofta and chicken kebab with cheese fries . The food was hot very tasty cooked to perfection. We will definitely order again thankyou for a lovely meal.

I wasn’t very impressed with the customer service given with this order the worker on the phone was very rude and disrespectful and unhelpful and it not only ruined my experience with one of my favourite places to order from it ruined my night. Very unprofessional and I will not be spending any of my money within there food shop again the food was also minging it was rushed and not prepared for properly. Big shef have very big mouths.

Ordered a drink with food which didn’t come

Food was amazing, also lovely and hot. It arrived just a few minutes after I ordered it. Very happy will be ordering again .

The food was amazing it was a bit late but they sent extra items so we can’t really fault them. They explained why that it was a new driver and he got confused. So it all ended good we got great food so thank you.

So I phoned up 1st to check on something, guy said yes order on food hub and just put in notes what you request , no problem , he got order completely wrong , then I phoned up to tell him don't worry about missing item as too late he stated to argue etc , won't use again

The order was late and no communication from the restaurant or just eat as to when it was arriving. They also put the time down that it was delivered wrong. Saying it was delivered at 8:20 pm when it wasn’t delivered until after 9

Everything was perfect apart from missing our can of Vimto out the order. I’m sure it will be replaced next time. Thanks guys.

Oreo milkshake had no Oreo in it some of the food was burnt

This is usually our go to kebab house but tonight’s was awful :( pizza was literally stone cold and I had to put it in the oven for 20 mins as the cheese wasn’t melted. Also noticed they no longer ask for sauce options on the special burger so you just don’t get any sauce which is a shame. Chips were soggy too. Hopefully better next time and maybe was just an off day, but was really disappointed

very poor tonight, food was all cold as a portion of fries was forgotten and the driver had to go back for them (2nd time this has happened), also a can of pop was forgotten, onion rings and mushrooms tasted under cooked, pita breads cut wrong and basically just fell apart garlic bread ( which was free ) also tasted under cooked, very poor, and sorry but I won't be ordering from here again, shame !!

Ordered a kebab with salad and chips and got chips in a container with some mixed kebab meat in, a bit of onion and 2 slices of tomato. No naan bread!!! Really disappointed was awful and will not be going again. Wasn't cheap either!

Food was spot on here in no time driver was very friendly and polite shut my gate for me and even offered to take the bins out can’t fault the place

Placed order online at 8.58pm - no food by 10.07pm so rang up enquiring said was en route with driver. 10.37pm still not received order. Called again, same answer as before. Food never arrived called back at 11.27. Said been delivered, told them it hadn't and I'd been waiting at door. Then said they never got order. Told them we had paid on website. Asked for my order info, Gave them it. Said they need proof of purchase to send my order out. I asked how, they said through foodhub and that I need to contact foodhub to get my money back. I used their own websit. Not one to leave bad reviews and feel we waited long enough for no food even though they happily took my money. Shame as food is lovely but not lovely enough to wait 2 and a half hours. Terrible service. Won't be going back after 11 years of custom.

Being new in the Wirral I believe I’ve gotten quite lucky to find such a gem! Mohammad was great and the pizza I got was fresh and simply delicious. Will definitely be returning soon.

I used to love the food from here, was the best kebab shop about, would alway throw something free in and the chocolate calzones used to be to die for, but as of recent they have gone terrible. The last time I git food from there will be the last, chicken kebab tasted undercooked, pita bread was stale and the chocolate calzone was overcooked and had no sugar in top like they used to do would recommend the new brighton kebab house on Victoria Road for anyone wanting food in new brighton

Shocking pizza. Avoid this place. Ordered a 14" Pepperoni pizza, What got was a 14" pizza with 5 pieces of pepperoni on it. Pizza cut into 8 pieces so there wasn't even a piece of pepperoni on all 8 slices! Talk about a mean chef. Never ordering from these again.

Spent £16 something on website, then didn't realise it discounted it. With discount it was just under £15. Picked it up too, a bit disappointed I never got cheese garlic bread and I'm a regular customer too

Just got chips cheese and gravy and the chips are totally undercooked and solid. I may aswell have just dipped a raw potato in some gravy and cheese at home. Gross.

Amazing food and customer service. We ordered two chicken kebabs for delivery yesterday. They arrived really quickly, left safely on the porch and the delivery driver called out thank you as we opened the door. Even gave us a free garlic bread which was delicious. Thanks so much.😊

Ordered tonight through just eat. Put message on with details of extras needed . They got it totally wrong. Rang up to complain and was told that I was wrong. Checked order and what I asked for was not what I got. Will NOT be using this takeaway again. Not impressed

Quality is so varied. Had many meals from here which have been great but then you get tonight. Chips slimy and reheated, garlic bread burnt and kebab without lettuce is the meat with a whole pitta bread thrown on top

I have ordered from big chef many a time and been in the shop usually the customer service and food I have had is brilliant, but tonight was the complete opposite. First of all I was told different stories from the shop (when the food was 10 mins late anyway) and then when the delivery driver rang me and I rang them back they also lied to me saying they had been outside which they hadn't been and then changed their story that my delivery was the next stop. When the food did arrive which was half an hour late, the only thing that was warm was the middle of the chips everything else was cold. I am shocked and surprised by big chef with this service. To be fair when I have spoke to staff on the phone and asked for an apology they gave it to me ( but let me reiterate when I asked) they have also assured me when I ring up for food in the future I will get a discount which I do appreciate and hope they stay true too their word, which is why I have given them one star rather than none because they have tried to provide a solution to the problem.

Usually always order here. Tonight, despite ordering on their site, no confirmation. Ring to check, rude on the phone. Pizza? Topping sliding off when you try to pick a piece up and the other half has binned his and gone back out to the chippy. Rank.

Iv had the donner meat from here a few times and it's never disappointed, also they are not stingey on the portion sizes and have good service, I will defo be coming here more in the future

The food is still good, but the service is not what it used to be. The staff are always in a rush, often don't listen, that's if you don't have to shout over the music. Gone has the welcome and hospitality.
