Popped in for a bar lunch. Staff were fantastic. Food delicious. Chicken burger was the best I've ever had. Will be back soon x

Sticky toffee pudding 10/10 at Betty Nicols ..delicious & bigger portion and only 7/10 at Abbots Hall...smaller portion & tasty but lacking in something?!.....

Great, friendly and comfortable place for a drink. You can even take the dog.

Great gin, shame the music is so loud you can't have a proper conversation

S'good here. Three ale pumps now, Oakhams (JHB, Citra) & Fyne Ales (Jarl, Hurricane Jack, Avalanche) are on regularly. The meals are also pretty great.

Lovely pub meals. We had fish and chips which was all prepared freshly as ordered. The two ladies working in the bar and kitchen were very attentive and friendly. The pub had a lovely vibe and seemed to feed many local which is always a great sign.

We stopped in for lunch at this wonderful pub. The staff were welcoming and very nice, the soup and haggis were delicious and they recommended some amazing whiskey at the end. It's a shame we couldn't come here twice!

Just had the gentleman’s afternoon tea- excellent food- very tasty and quickly served. Plate 1- BLT/ scotch egg/ small burger with relish and a Brie / oatcakes & chutney. Plate 2- scone/ whipped cream & jam and cheesecake with raspberries washed down with tea/coffee ( I had the Heverlee instead) Didn’t manage to eat everything so doggy box available to take home . Well worth a visit- needs to be booked in advance. Thumbs up from me- will be back.

We had traditional and gentleman’s afternoon teas yesterday. Absolutely gorgeous food, beautifully presented and wonderful service. Staff are so helpful cannot recommend highly enough.

Following the closure of the Harbour Bar this is easily the best bar in Kirkcaldy. Real ales on Tap, Furstenburg in the fridge, friendly chilled environment in a decorated bar. What more could you ask for...

Went in for lunch today. First time there, we had steak pie with potatoes and veg was good. The dessert was even better: sticky toffee pudding,did it with custard for me. Best I've had in ages. Staff very helpful. Accessible and easy to get around once inside. Highly recommend.

Always a warm welcome from John and Nan and the food is great too you must try this pub. I'm so fond of this pub and along with my wife rate this pub the best in town for food, service and drink.

Beautiful Victorian pub with such a friendly staff! We just moved to Kirkcaldy and instantly felt at home in Betty Nicols. Not only was the atmosphere grand, but the food was really tasty! We had the fish and chips and steak pie. Both were excellent. We will definitely be back soon!

A pub as it should be! A comprehensive selection of whisky, gin, rum and good draft beers.(and good coffee!) Friendly and efficient staff, all makes for a nice place to be!

It's was OK but it's was cold and had to ask to put the heating on

Got soup and a coffee. The dog was allowed in. Really cosy and friendly. We would recommend and the soup was good.

Betty's is our local and for atmosphere, hospitality and quality of service it cannot be beaten. A fantastic array of drinks, especially spirits and good food too. The kind of place you never have a problem taking your friends to visit as you know it will deliver!

Went in to Betty Nicol's for a quick drink on my birthday last Friday before going to an Italian Restaurant for a meal. We didn't realise that we should have booked before going but the 2 female staff members were absolutely brilliant and let us have a couple of drinks regardless. There was excellent screen separation and social distancing and my wife and I felt extremely safe. Can't praise Betty Nicol's high enough for helping make my birthday celebrations so special. A very big and well deserved 'thank you'.

We had a lovely home cooked meal recommended by the lovely Elaine, who warmly welcomed us and our two little dogs . She gave them a nice cool bowl of water and on her recommendation we ordered the homemade steak pie, which was delicious. We followed this with the sticky toffee pudding, which was out of this world. It’s a shame it was the last day of our holiday, because we would have gladly gone again. I thoroughly recommend this dog friendly pub, which is also very “human friendly”!

Partner and I called ahead of time to reserve a table and confirm they were dog friendly. Lady on the phone was lovely and confirmed they were, we even clarified what breed our dogs were as they are large and we didn't want that to be an issue. The woman on the phone went to go check that was okay, then came back on and confirmed yes. When we arrived a waitress who was clearly scared of dogs did not want to let us in as she pointed at our white shepherd saying she was too scared of him. The entire pub at this point was watching, so out of sheer embarrassment we left. Why say you're a dog friendly establishment if you're clearly not? Really disappointed (and embarrassed) as we'd been looking forward to finding a new local. We wandered down to the Heritage after which took us (and dogs) in with welcoming arms. So, if you're looking for a dog friendly pub, avoid Betty Nichol's.

Busy old fashioned pub. Very clean surrounds, lovely glass of wine 🍷 bar staff very attentive. Free home made sausage rolls served 5.30 Fridays. Real Ales, loads of kinds of gins etc. Music in background. Sometimes live bands too. 👍

A big thank you for hosting our works "retirement /leaving" night out. The function room is the perfect size for private and more intimate get togethers and our buffet was excellent especially the choices for vegetarians. The young lady member of staff (sorry didn't get your name) was friendly and an asset to the pub. And last but not least whoever managed to compile our weird and wonderful music play list - we salute you 👏👏👏
