A very traditional Scottish bakery selling standard Scottish favourites like scot pies and sausage rolls, fresh baked goods, there's cooked to order vegetarian food as well. I got a scrambled egg and potato scone roll, and a cappuccino. Lovely and great value for money. Buy and support local shops, please.

Despite the mixed reviews, hubby and I decided to try a carry out whilst on a recent weekend in Arran. Shop is average for a carry out establishment; man who served us was very pleasant. Told it would be 30 mins, which is quite a long time for a takeaway, but which I hoped meant it was being cooked fresh. Collected and took home to eat, everything was there, nothing missing, all piping hot and delicious. I had a chicken pasanda which was a bit sweet for my taste, but didn't stop me eating it, or having the second half a couple of days later. Would definitely recommend, and would go back.

We were looking for a wee carry out place, while staying close by, not a lot of selection, but we came for our tea, we had noodles which were delicious and duck, which tasted lovely, but my meal, chicken with cashews had no flavour to it at all, not like the takeaway in my town at all, it had a cash only payment service, so that was a pain, to find a hole in the wall and were not going to rush back here again

3 of us ate or tried to eat breakfast. My son had pancakes and fruit- they forgot the syrup. His fiancee had an egg thing i forget its name and was assured "yes theyll give you a cooked yolk" it was runny as hell! I had eggs benedict with extra bacon and added black pudding. The muffins were so tough i found it hard to cut them, the undressed rocket leaves were a stupid addition that got in the way really badly too. The black pudding was hard on one side and the bacon was black at one edge and way way over cooked. The hollandase was tasteless too. Ive made this dish for myself and its light years from this really poor effort. It might be a cheaper place to eat but its not good at all and therefor its not good value. Im a chef and i hate complainers and always hold my tongue and didnt complain inside the place, they dint have chefs in their kitchens its button pushers, "line chefs" whatever that invented title is??? My advice is (and to myself now aswell) if you want cheap food, stay indoors and cook some. Dining iut is price related, pay more you should get quality, pay less like i did and expect the shxxe i got simples
