The food and the service is excellent, but it’s now become too expensive. £15 for a mixed kebab, to me, seems a little excessive.

I’ve given a 1 star rating, however, if there was an option I’d give it a zero. I ordered a XL lamb doner with small chips. Very expensive which would’ve been acceptable if the food was actually nice… The food was just about room temp, the lamb doner meat tastes like god knows what it’s made of, the small portion of chips was £1.90 and the size of the portion must’ve been off of the kids menu. The chilli sauce smelt and tasted of tomato paste. These are my honest opinions and I’m not just saying this to be a nuisance- I’ve had doner kebab from multiple charcoal grills/ kebab shops and this one definitely stood out in a bad way. Please take this review into account into bettering your food so your customers aren’t disappointed.

We went in about 5.40pm and had to wait over half an hour for our food. Also there was no salad with one of the kebabs even though we had requested it. Food was good though and plenty of it.

If you want to wait 2 hours for a cold kebab and a portion of chips that a 2 year old child could eat oh and a chilli sauce that’s tastes of chilli about as much as ketchup does you will enjoy your meal

This was a terrible meal it took 1hour 45 minutes to deliver when I was told 45 minutes I had a mixed grill with no kebab meat in it it was Luke warm when it eventually arrived the chips were cold and soggy I was the worst takeaway from charcoal grill I have had from them will not use again do not use them on a Saturday night , they cannot cope and are greedy to dilever inferior food like this DONT USE THIS TAKEAWAY

We ordered a lamb shish over the weekend. We have rated 2 stars because although the cooking was fine, there was no seasoning at all. It was the blandest lamb shish ever to be honest. Tony....please, please,please look at seasoning your meats.Your business sales would take off as there are no other kebab shops immediately in the hockley area. Please take this advice.

Not very nice. garlic sauce taste sweet, chilli sauce tastes like tomato pasta sauce and lamb shish has no flavour.

Best Dona Kebabs in Hockley at a great price they even deliver for a couple of quid. Definitely recommend.

Not sure how the other ratings here are so so high. I actually do seek out a decent kebab and I didn't find it here. Doner. Dry meat, limp salad no garlic sauce or anything and the chilli sauce was a thin salsa. Sorry but that's how it is.

The absolute best kebab ever within 15 mile

When you eat as many kebabs as me and the Mrs do, you begin to think like a kebab. Therefore, as a pseudo kebab, you instinctively know a good kebab from a bad one. Charcoal Grill's kebabs are the simply the best in Hockley. Mind you, they're the only kebabs in Hockley, but let's not split hairs. If you're feeling flush, ask for a 'Ben Usual'. You won't be disappointed (unless you don't like chicken shish with lettuce and doner meat sprinkled on the top...)
