Nice, fresh sandwich and excellent coffee. Wide assortment of sandwiches and cakes. location on the balcony overlooking the concourse was superb. Place was clean and there was adequate seating.

Ordered a mozzarella flatbread, there was one on display that was quite large and priced at £6.95. Had to go around the side of the counter for a tea while it was being heated and then collect it from the opposite end. I received the flatbread wrapped in paper and when I sat down and Small snackopened it, It was half the size of the one I ordered! Whilst sat at our table I was accosted twice by a man asking for money to buy a drink! Other than that it’s a nice place to sit whilst waiting for the train.

Stopped here to grab a quick drink and snack before heading home on a two and half hour train back to the West Country. A very limited selection, and pricing that bears no real resemblance to pub prices, even by London premium prices. e.g. £4.95 for a lager that turns out to be a can, not a pint. Blueberry muffin, see photo, was literally a muffin with a solitary blueberry in it. Trading Standards ought to be involved here as to what a blueberry muffin actually is, else label it as a "Single Blueberry in a Muffin". So, no, it's poor products, with abysmal service and a laissez-faire attitude to customer service.

I had to pick a place in or around Waterloo Station and Googled this cafe. Absolutely perfect for a casual meeting. I had forgotten why I used to drink coffee as their blend was perfect for me. A great hot sandwich in tasty crusty bread. Great service from Louisa P.

This is easy to miss as it is upstairs on the balcony, however it is much quieter here and there are plenty of place to sit. Our server was very helpful and friendly. Food and drinks up to the usual Benugo standard.

Paré en Benugo en el balcón / entrepiso en la estación de Waterloo después de llegar desde Waterloo East. La comida se veía bien, pero el sándwich llegó al microondas y era un desastre. El café era todo espuma y poco líquido. Además, tuve que luchar contra las palomas.Si bien la comida era comestible y el café era potable, este precio no era barato y no creo que vuelva a visitarlo.

The woman who served us made our day! Made a great hot chocolate and made us laugh. Over all brilliant service

I stopped to have breakfast as I waited for friends. The normal English breakfast was swimming in fat. I informed the waitress when she came to ask how my breakfast was, but she just walked away! The real orange juice was very nice though

Stopped for a breakfast. Good selection of items. I had the porridge with banana and cacao and cinnamon. Couldn't taste the cinnamon and it wasn't warm. Had to ask them for a new one but instead the reheated my one in the microwave for far too long and made it very dry and yuky. They also left my wooden spoon in the porridge, so it really was inedible in the end. My friend had a tasty sausage cob which was good. Staff were okay.

Food is really tasty, coffee is good and the staff is absolutely amazing! Pigeons not well trained but you can feed them and just enjoy their company free of charge. Absolutely one of my favourite pet cafes in London!

Located on the balcony of the station & was open by 8am on Sunday so stopped off for a hot chocolate & cinnamon roll.Service was quick & got chocolate was nice.Cinnamon roll however I would have expected it to be warm at that time.Good for on the go or when waiting for your train

I said I needed dairy free and my options for porridge were explained, but somehow got organic milk. Also asked for elderflower tea and got lemon and ginger. Not feeling too well now.

Stopped here for a quick breakfast. Very disappointing food and drink. I wouldn’t recommend at all. Find a Greggs much better value.

There coffee tastes burnt and they are so stingy with their coffee portions. This is how it was served, where is the rest of it..?! Not acceptable considering it’s not cheap coffee.

It is a shame to see a cafe with such a beautiful location got spoiled by pigeons. If you put your pastries down on the table and turn your head, the uninvited visitors will immediately land right next to (or on it) to have a nibble. The prices are okay for its location.

Even at quiet times the baristas here take for ever. OK the coffee was hot when it arrived and the croissant was fresh. But don’t be in a rush.

Good position on the Waterloo balcony. Pumps out good coffee quickly and cheerfully. Discount given if you bring your own cup. Has its own tables but these are often covered with discarded packaging. That's the fault of the clientele but the staff could be quicker in clearing it up, Pigeons are a nuisance.

On this visit the coffee was nice and warm..great to heat us up as we were waiting for our train. Service was great and bit of banter too. Loved the pigeons flying around as it was an open roof train station which gave that London feeling!! Love it!!!

Ordered a bacon roll that was so over cooked the bacon crumbled into ash. The replacement one was exactly the same. What a waste of money.

Met a work colleague for a quick coffee and conversation on a chilly day and the location is great, for the view over the concourse, but is chilly with draughts from every direction. The staff are efficient and the location is clean (despite their struggle with pigeons).

This is a railway cafe & a fairly decent one in the busy revamped Waterloo Station.

Waterloo station suffers from too many pigeons generally but this is made much worse because in the hour we were there no one made any effort to clear up rubbish so pigeons were sitting on the tables pecking at crumbs. The rubbish everywhere made the environment unpleasant. Bins not prominent for people to throw their own stuff away. Coffee was good, fish finger sandwich at best average - not personally a fan of soggy lettuce. The caprese roll tasted as though it was microwaved not grilled. - very soggy. Convenient but not much else going for it.

...of the announcement board! Ideal place to sit and linger if you are early for your train. Service is usually quite efficient. Food and drinks are very average.

Como italiano siempre busco un buen café. Ellos ofrecen una muy buena. Los croissants son demasiado mantecosos pero no malos, puedes comerlos por una vez. Me encanta detenerme aquí cada vez que puedo en camino al trabajo. El equipo es sobresaliente, siempre amable (incluso a las 7 am) y conoce todos mis requisitos específicos sin que yo lo pregunte. Son verdaderamente estimulantes, en particular cuando tengo un día "a mitad de semana bla" (como hoy). El equipo es joven y apasionado, y es un gran lugar para detenerse y tomar algunas respiraciones antes de comenzar un día agitado. Gran gestión también de Alex y Thomas. Vamos, pasa y pruébalos. Quien necesita una clase de yoga. .

We had time to spare before our journey and haven't been through Waterloo since the Balcony was built.

My wife and I went to Benugo for a hot drink and something to eat. Chronically slow service, didn't get anything to eat as the server couldn't understand what my wife was saying. Pigeons flying around eating the crumbs that had not been swept away. Never again.

Was visiting London and was staying near Waterloo station...this place has a good variety of vegetarian options (as its quite difficult at times to find a veg and a vegan option!!).. Their coffee and traditional baked goods were also good...

Good variety of food, some interesting fillings, reasonable prices,helpful staff clean and a good position to see the Station

As always, the Pigeon problem is not Benugos fault but they are still an annoying problem. Some of the staff are not polite at all !

I had a quick coffee and flapjack here while waiting for a train home one Sunday afternoon, so not a busy day nor time. However young man behind the counter was clearly flustered and presumably not yet fully trained, asked me something like three times if I wanted milk with my coffee (which question was then repeated by the young woman who actually did my coffee) and called me 'sir' all the time (tbh you don't need to use that word more than once and like many people I'd rather you didn't use it at all).

Vi a alguien recoger un café blanco plana, pero esto no fue anunciado en el menú Tabla. El capuchino era buena y el jamón y queso calentadas croissant también era agradable. Pero sin duda no era servido con una sonrisa! Agradable zona de asientos con vistas a la explanada principal en la estación.

I wouldn't recommend this place. Coffee is not too bad but food excessively overpriced, 99% of it is frozen or comes in a plastic bag. However, the worst part is the management, who don't know how to treat the staff nor the customers.

Limited options and time constraints got us to Benugo, upstairs at Waterloo. Parisian and New Yorker sandwiches were very tasty, but could have been larger. Value is the biggest challenge; two sandwiches and two drinks cost £17. Average !

Good coffee and hot chocolate, value for money and a great place to watch the world pass by. Pigeons now seem under control.

The reviews for this outlet on the balcony at Waterloo are mixed, but we enjoyed a very good visit today, with thirty minutes to spare before our train. Good food, the sourdough baguette was excellent, friendly service and fair prices. Not only that, but if you sit in the right seats, you can even see the destination boards as they are updated.

There are lots of poor reviews of Benito Waterloo which I can agree with. Pigeons are not their problem but it's been bad for years. The menu is confusing as no time or " lunch" is shown on the lunch only menu which is visible...

Really disgusting place, asked for a halloumi wrap (I’m vegetarian) they gave me a turkey wrap which I hadn’t realised until I had eaten some, very unhappy with the service and lack of anybody who could understand English, number called out wrong on order and...

Two of the people behind the counter didn't know the difference between a VAT receipt and a card receipt, the baguette was like a piece of tree trunk so I have to use the bite-and-pull method, the contents fall out onto the table, and so...

Called in her whilst waiting for our train. The staff are very snappy, younorder at the front of the counter and then have to go around to the side and wait for a very snappy lady to make your drinks! She has no fear in raising her voice towards you, as she speaks to the group of people who are waiting and you answer she will soon shout you down that she is not talking to you. The muffins were nice. Pigeons were flying around and walking on the tables, whilst we were there didn't see anyone clearing the tables, or taking away any of the rubbish that had been left lying about.

I was on the A1(M) yesterday and stopped at services to find a posh chain of patisserie had opened a concession there. The burly truckers didn’t seem impressed.

Gone are the days when the area around an escalator to the ground floor and access to a pub was all there was of a balcony to Waterloo station at the end of the walkway from Waterloo East. Now there is a veritable gastronomic village including branches of Carluccios, Natural Cafe and Yo Sushi as well as this branch of Benugos directly overlooking the main station concourse. There is a lot to tempt from juices beers and toasties in cabinets to sandwiches baps croissants and pastries behind counters. The Londoner breakfast sandwich I've long enjoyed at St. Pancras was present alongside other baps with more exotic names such as the Reuben with pastrami and melted cheese I enjoyed with a blood orange San Pellegrino

Yo he estado en el lugar de una docena de veces, la última vez en junio con el año. Si tienes que esperar a alguien o simplemente descansar un poco antes de volver a casa, es el mejor lugar para sentarse y comer. A pesar de su cafetería, puede elegir algunos vinos con un sabor bastante bueno.

Ordered a wet latte (no foam) and was given one with about half the cup just foam. Took it back and the attitude was terrible. Clearly they just rely on the fact that you are in a rush and won't come back and complain. Went to Pret instead and got coffee exactly as I had asked for it - and much cheaper. If you want to charge more then shouldn't you actually provide a decent service, politely...?

Tea & cake whilst waiting for the train home at Waterloo.Lively loose leaf Tea, elderflower & summer berries cake very tasty.Took home a banana & honey granola, tasty.All staff friendly, quick service, recommend. Will be back.

Within the station on first floor so you can watch the activity and hustle and bustle of station, good sandwiches with plenty of choice, tea and coffee good, just watch out for the pigeons that dive bomb when your not watching.

Got a toasted sandwich here today no flavour at all and pigeons seam to be free to enter the food prep area ,overpriced nasty rubbish this should be closed I know it's not there fault about the pigeon,s but if your paying the top notch price get it right!

En route from Waterloo East to catch a train for Windsor from Waterloo (Main) and came across Benugo on the balcony. Quite busy but placed my order for a bacon buttie and latte coffee. Queued at another side of the kiosk and my order was prepared efficiently, placed in a bag with paper knapkins and I was on my way. Quality OK and food/coffee remained hot. Fine offer in a hurry.

Fab coffee at Benugo- upstairs at Waterloo station. Fabulous milky texturing going on and a strong roast that's ideal for breakfast. Was tempted but resisted the various roles and muffins on offer but I will return on the way home for another brew!

Purchased a sandwich and a drink to 'eat in'. After 5 minutes I left my table and stood on the concourse to eat my sandwich - it was more pleasant. At least four pigeons were roaming freely on the tables. They are so used to people that they are difficult to shoo away. They pick over food left on the tables that remain uncleared. They are so bold that they get very close to your food no matter how much arm waving you do! Very unpleasant.

Stopped here on the way to a conference. £3 for a sausage roll. Turns out it's literally a single sausage, cut into 4 slices, and not even cooked properly in the centre so I'm not sure why I had to wait for it. Not worth £1 let alone £3. Can't imagine I'll be going back.

My adult son and I had breakfast sandwiches and coffee here on our second morning in London. (We were not at the station to catch a train, but to eat!) This was not our first time here and it lived up to our good memory of this place. The food selection at breakfast was large and the food itself was very, very good.

We called here for a quick coffee with a friend. The low score is not for the coffee, which was good, or the staff, who were fine, but really for the environment. The location is high up in Waterloo Station, and there are so many pigeons around, wandering about the tables, which made it a less pleasant place to sit. Perhaps it could be fully enclosed?

I think the staff are in such a rush , they didnt even give my sausages in a roll, any time to heat. I had to take it back to be re heated, which they didnt and apologised. The Waterloo pigeon problem, needs sorting by TFL, not benugo's problem, but it is a prob everytime i go to this place. They do not have a small bin for tea bags etc

I tried Benugo twice;the first time completely by accident and I came back because their sandwiches are fantastic; the tastiest food. I am yet to try their cakes and coffee but I will certainly keep coming back. The service is also brilliant; the staff are really friendly and fast.I definitely recommend it for a quick snack/sandwich when at Waterloo, it is much much much better than Costa or Pret! Well done,keep up the great service and the best food!

Stopped en route to a sight seeing trip in London. Had couple of flat whites, salmon bagel and pastel de nata. Very tasty and will definitely visit again!

Visited here for an interview this morning. It is situated on the balcony at Waterloo station. Really friendly staff and an ideal location. Being up high the wind gusts through so it was a bit chilly! Could do with some heaters to be honest. Nice cup of coffee though

After a long journey we wanted to catch up with a friend. We chose to stop here, situated within the station it was perfect. The coffee and cake was delicious and we had very good service too!

Stopped here before getting the train to Windsor. It's like any other coffee shop except you get an order number on your receipt and they call it when that order is ready. It got a bit frustrating when other numbers higher than mine were called as they only had to prepare a latte for me (I suspect I was forgotten about until I said something). I had the baguette with me as it was to take away (though it was mostly eaten by the time the latte arrived).Apart from the wait, a routine experience. Prices were comparable with the major chains. The baguette was alright (chicken and basil).

What a pain to get an extra shot in your flat white... a simple " yes of course" would have been better.

The view from the deck here over the entrance to platforms and the concourse could inspire writers into a novel or two. Continental style counter display of croissants and pastries attractive and hard to resist. Decent coffee, very fair prices from good humoured staff.

As someone who often gets breakfast at this place, the food is always served well and tastes fresh, the service is good, and the staff friendly. I like the fact that tea (I get the Earl Grey) is always loose leafed, which means it tastes much better than most bag teas served in other eateries in Waterloo. The Eggs Royale toasted roll is good, but the toasted bacon baps are to die for!

Questa volta siamo stati a mangiare qualcosa da Benugo perchè non abbiamo trovato posto da Pret a Manger. C'era un ritardo del treno per un problema sulla linea, così ce la siamo presa un po più calma del solito e siamo andati al primo piano dove si trova questo locale. Solito standard di sempre. Stopped here for lunch yesterday and had a simply delicious Ruben Sandwich, toasted to perfection and absolutely outstanding! I am rather tired of the same old sandwich offerings from the various stands and outlets at Waterloo, but I can now name this as a favourite. There are a good choice of savoury and sweet snacks, and the sandwich offering is broad and very high quality. I recommend it highly!

Situated on the balcony level at Waterloo station, it is a relatively peaceful spot in comparison to the meld on the main concourse. Some nice fresh snacks on offer. The coffee is average and prices slightly above average. Yes there are a few pigeons around which may put some off. Although I enjoyed sitting watching the people below in relative comfort, the whole experience was decidedly average.

As we had an hour to wait for our train we went to this cafe for hot drinks.It is upstairs and overlooks the station concourse below.We ordered hot chocolate and an Earl Grey tea.Service was quick and friendly but everywhere we wanted to sit had pigeons and droppings. It is very off putting when the pigeons fly through the kitchen area.

Está muy bien situado tanto si se hace una visita a la estación como si se va a tomar el tren a Exeter o a Porthmouth. La atención es muy amable y ágil. Se recomienda probar la tarta de chocolate con un té Darjeeling. El precio está bastante ajustado.

This is the most unsanitary cafe I have ever been in. There are flocks of pigeons hanging around and on the tables. A few notices asking people to remove their rubbish is not taking responsibility for this problem.

Great location overlooking main concourse of station. Visited onSunday lunchtime , not busy but coffee took age to make, made by a woman who continued to moan to her colleague about how busy she was then made wrong coffee then challenged me on what I had ordered . Charming.The tables were dirty and not cleaned encouraging pigeons to graze on half eaten food.Grumpy lady reappeared to start moaning again about people moving the tables making it hard for her to clear them.Coffee was terrible, weak and undrinkable £7.50 for 3 coffees may be London prices but at least make it drinkable. So in short dirty, miserable staff and rubbish coffee.

I always look forward to picking up a sandwich, muffin or desert at Benugo, on my way through from Waterloo East to Waterloo stations. Always good quality, healthy and something different. This time, we ate in. Great place for a station. My only criticism was the lack of table cleaning. Most were left dirty too long.

This outlet is part of the relatively new 'gallery' area at Waterloo Station, comprising various retail outlets and restaurants. The variety of food on offer was adequate, albeit much of it was pre-packaged. Quality was OK but the seating area was dirty and unappealing. Alright for a quick bite to eat but I wouldn't want to hang around!

Benugo at Waterloo are absolutely fantastic. The food is fabulous and fresh, the staff are engaging and the prices extremely reasonable (compared to usual London prices). The view from the balcony over the station is superb, and the entire area is kept spotless. 10/10 to the team for ensuring that their eatery is always awesome!
