Ben's Pizza in Sheffield

It's such a shame this place has gone downhill chips were cold, pitta bread old and fell apart and the kebab meat was pale, this place used to be lovely too.

Went to Ben's Pizza after our normal local takeaway had an unfortunate incident and had to close. Ordered via the website which was simple enough and easy to navigate. That's when it went down hill. Delivery time shot up from 70mins to 109mins via the websites tracking. Once items moved from preparing to out for delivery it stated my order was number 5 of the delivery drivers drop offs. While tracking my food travel around the local estate my food turned up just short of half an hour in the drivers car. When the food arrived the driver was plesent and the packaging good. Sadly though the contents was not good. All items cold, the naan bread had gone soggy from soaking up the juices from the meats ordered on the heaven and he'll box and the gyros had completely gone soggy. Tried contacting the store directly several times but no joy. Shame really as the menu looks appealing, sadly though afterr the first experience which leaves an impression I dont think we will order online or for delivery again.

Ordered online took nearly 1 ½hr to come had to call to see where my order was.. they had to find the order which i think was overlooked. We appreciate busy times but this was not acceptable. A shame coz the food is good

Over 2 hours for delivery. Cold and chewy. Kids meals on order as well. Had to keep kids awake until late just to eat. Ridiculous and cost a fortune as well

Avoid BENS PIZZA Ordered. Took over the delivery time (understand this as it’s Friday night) Food missing and food undercooked. Food came with floppy undercooked pizza bases and missing garlic bread. Called them (over 50 attempts!) Lady on phone said will remake and resend (awesome, although only need the missing/undercooked items sent again, never asked for the whole order). Guy re delivered and wanted the wrong items back(not a problem but we only wanted the incorrect/missed things so what’s he going to do with the undercooked and missing things). Says he’ll ring And ask. and then 20 mins later a different guy comes back to take the incorrect things back so we gave the rest of the new order as it was going to go to waste and the undercooked items were in the bin! Will be avoiding from now on and going to benitos.

Have wrote some very good review for this place in the past. Usually up to standards and the best pizza around we normally travel 25 minutes just to go here. We have just been in and ordered some pizza and it was very dry/ the cheese was rubbery like a cheese string etc. Not sure what’s happening in the kitchen because today has been far from the usual standards and we’re unsure whether to make that travel for that quality again in the future. No harsh feelings though as it’s normally a 10/10

Had a small issue with an order. Contacted Ben’s Pizza and they got back to me immediately. The owner himself rectified the issue in record time and was so friendly and polite. Outstanding service!

Garlic bread very dry. I ordered from here for the first time tonight because of the reviews and my usual place was closed, but I’m very disappointed the garlic bread was so dry I have never had a garlic bread as dry as that ever. The pizza also dry but better than the garlic bread probably because it was under cooked. Over £16 for myself not happy. Unfortunately, I won’t be ordering again

After a mix up with orders (delivery driver error) we contacted bens pizza and spoke to little Ben, who was happy to help rectify the issue, not only did he allow us a full refund, He gave us £30 of food free, the food was delicious, the healthy box was really nice, and they threw in some cookies aswell, great customer service, will definitely order again

Ordered a mighty fine BBQ Meat Feast pizza from here for the first time and i got to say it was 10/10 bang on great taste and flavour mixed with the BBQ sauce i think i will be ringing you again 🫵👍👍

Really good service and food always satisfied

I’ve just called in to place an order and I was told it would be about 10-15 minutes, so I told the young lady at the till that’s ok I will just nip to the shops. When I called back in after only few minutes, there were a couple of people picking up there orders, and a couple placed an order, it wasn’t busy in the shop and the staff new who I was and were looking at me, I assumed they were packing my order, but no they were enjoying chatting to each other. When I eventually got my order after it being left, the chips were cold and rubbery. The chicken burger bun was sloppy and the chicken was chewy, what a waste of money and very bad service.

Yet again pizza cold and forgot cheese sauce this has happened more than once and be another hour for cheese sauce ust to like bens but the service is getting ridiculous all you feel is you've been robbed and left with a load of cold stale food

Bang on, amazing value for money. Best munchie boxes around. The donner meat is great. All under a tenner I got a good burger, pepperoni pizza, donner meat, chips, they even gave me a free garlic bread delivered last night. Highly recommend, get loads of proper nice nice food for so little money. My regular now. Amazing everytime (edit, still amazing and trustworthy)

Ordered a chicken burger and the meat was grey looking.My daughter said that it tasted ' funny ' - I rang up and complained and the lady was lovely and sent a cheeseburger upon our request as didn't want the chicken again,she was apologetic.For nearly £26 we paid,it looked very poor quality and like something you would buy from a burger van tbh,chips were soggy and both quite unappetising looked like cheap produce they have used.This is actually the 2nd time we've complained now so won't be going back there.

Ordered from here a few times food is always nice I’ll give them that! The doner meat seeemed to have a lot of hair in today for some reason so didn’t get eaten, shame as it was my replacement for mozzarella sticks which they had ran out of. We did ask them to make sure the mayo was still in but they didn’t say it. Shame really

AVOID!!! First time ordering, thought we would give them a try based on half decent reviews. An hour for delivery (seems to be the norm these days) and arrived warm enough. Given the big talk on the menu about hand stretched dough and a picture of a wood fire pizza oven posted by the owner (total lies!) Not sure where that picture was taken but no way what we received was cooked in a wood fire oven. Not sure what others are receiving but our food was TERRIBLE. stodgy cheese, rubbery garlic bread and burnt dry doner meat that somehow still tastes raw, Greasy onion rings that where just mush and fell apart. Limp soggy fries and pizza so called "hand stretched pizza base" was clearly from frozen and not hand stretched at all and no way was cooked in a wood fire over! Absolutely disgraceful AVOID.

Excellent takeaway, I travel from Chesterfield to Sheffield to eat from bens. Always been nice food, good service with polite staff. Don't be put of by the negative comments. I would say try them and make your own mind up.

Food is always nice, always hot. Ordered multiple times now and always bang on. The boxes are phenomenal value for money.

Answer the phone then leave you on hold for over 7 minutes. Then you call on another line and answer and do the same. So I walk in then they take my order and it takes 45mins. It gets worse. The food was wrong and not hot. Do not go here

Ordered 2 Donna kebabs Friday picked them up got home opened 1 no pitta bread rang them to explain whilst on the phone opened the other kebab the pitta bread was mouldy the young lady said we have only 1 pitta bread left so they sent me 2 flat bread when the delivery driver came I gave him the mouldy bread to take back to the shop I thought the manager would have the decency to ring & apologise but here we are 4 days later still waiting we do go there regular but I'm afraid it will be a long time before we give it another chance

best pizzas from a takeaway in the area

Pizza tonight was unreal no better takeaway around the area in my opinion 👏👏

Ordered food was nice but ordered a 10” margarita with cheese stuff crust and got a cheesy garlic bread instead and then ordered cheese sauce with chips and sent me garlic mayo other than that food was standard

Had a mutual misunderstanding of our order earlier and they changed it no issue. Friendly and polite as they did. Food is nice and reasonably priced EDIT: went in recently and while waiting for my food one of the members of staff who cooks the food had their gloved hand so far in their mouth I thought he was going to eat it with the food he was shoving in there. Then went back to the food station without changing those gloves so someone had his saliva in their order.

First time & the last time! Chicken burger burnt to a crisp!! Salad if you can call it that were brown & wiltered..if I could give it no stars, I would..pizza we're OK but I think that's all they cook from fresh because everything else were disgusting 🤢

After tonight will not be ordering again, salad missing , different bread, cold meat ,and yet still get charged for missing items never in the last few times been here have they got the order right . Really gone down the pan

Lovely food, perfect for a hangover day. The portions were much bigger than expected and enjoyed it all. I ordered a box for two and it fed us for 4 meals!

Best fast food restaurant in Sheffield

The standard of food is above and beyond, the variety of choice is top notch and the staff are lovely. Great prices, brilliant service and lovely delivery staff. I have found my favourite takeaway and I would recommend anyone to order from here. Did I mention value for money? The portions are huge, finally fries that arrive hot and without one bit of grease. Packed well and lovely salad ❤️

Asked for a menu, they said sorry we only have menus on Facebook. Deal breaker for me, never used Facebook in my life and never intend to. They could have literally had a qr code on the wall with a direct url to the menu, or you know printed it off like normal people do. I could do this myself in ten minutes. Never going there again.

Very unpleasant food yesterday was replaced today. We didn't have the same food as last night but Ben brought us the most delicious pizza and garlic bread today . Hasty comment last night but nothing but praise today. Thank you again Ben

Cold chips dry chicken pathetic bit of salad broken pitta bread , Years since we ordered from Bens, it will be even more before we order again.Awful !!!! no wonder the delivery driver almost ran from the door !!! We will certainly spread the word

Went to Ben's Pizza today for the second time, the service was great, the food was excellent and the new rustic look shop fit looks brilliant, recommended by our family 👍

Ordered hot box, smashed Burger, taste of turkey box & mini losley. Loved everything however taste of turkey box, the wraps a little dry, and not a fan of the quinoa/bulghar wheat. Quick delivery on a Saturday night, £38.50 and feeds 4 adults. Also received complimentary garlic bread which will be enjoyed in the morning!

Always tasty food.... Usually I have large Donner and chips which comes with 2 dips. Thought I'd have a change and ordered a Chicken Gyros wrap and a portion of chips. I didn't realize that the Gyros comes with a portion of chips and the dips were an extra 50p each. So I ended up with 2 portions of chips. Disappointingly the wrap only about 2 tablespoons of chicken in it. I think one of the delivery guys who took my order, should have explained the chip situation. And another problem is they stack all the pizza boxes in front of the menus and they can't be read fully. On the plus side, they do take cards whereas all the other takeaways on the run of shops only take cash.

Brilliant menu, spoiled for choice. The food we ordered was excellent and interesting. This was our first order after being recommended by my son who uses the Rotherham branch. We will definitely order from here again.

I’ve been in Sheffield for 4 months and I’ve at last found a decent kebab. Only complaint was chips were a bit overcooked and everything was not as hot as I would have wanted BUT IN SAYING THAT WILL DEFINITELY BE BACK 👍👍

Usually okay and sometimes can’t even put a single burger together. When asked for options you put you don’t want one thing and want something else they do the opposite and put the thing on the burger you didn’t want! Are the chefs incompetent or what !!!

I ordered the mini crave & it was bad boy! Everything nice & fresh, banging flavours. They let me do a few changes to meal which is ace & customers service is on point. Would recommend to anyone who’s wants to be full on a tasty meal for a good price.

Usually have really good food from here but this time it was bad. The cheese tasted weird on everything, like an awful plastic sour taste. Couldn’t finish it.

Just wow 1st time we've ordered from here tonight,we ordered a feast box and mini feast,the mini feast fed 3 kids aged 5,4 and 1 and still enough to feed them again,the feast box me and my partner shared it and there half left ,the food is amazing will be ordering again the wedges was already gone before we plated anything up as kids demolished them,was fresh and super tasty so the kids said great customer service over phone!Will be ordering again!!

We started going to Ben's pizza last year after seeing posts on Facebook. We was abit worried what the food would be like as it's a 25mins trip there to collect the food because we are not near them, We was wrong to be worried! The food is always delicious, hot with lots of variety to choose from. Order is always correct, sauces taste wow! (Especially the garlic mayo!). We now only have a takeaway from Ben's and don't go anywhere else even the travelling to get the food is worth it. Our favourite is the boxes because we get abit of everything that we all like as a family which makes ordering so much easier. The hubby recently tried the pizza burger and said it was best thing he had eaten from any takeaway. Polite staff, great value, plenty of options, amazing food that is hot, fresh, clean... honestly cannot fault anything well done to all at Ben's pizza!

Ordered the quadzilla box £25 fed 3 adults and 3 children and still had left overs tasted amazing

I don’t know what other people are getting but ours were sub standard - burgers ok(ish) but only a little bit of limp lettuce and more red onion than anything, onion rings not cooked - had it delivered which was quicker than was told but to say we are only a few minutes away everything was cold - sorry but wouldn’t recommend 🙁

Ordered the Quadzilla box! Well worth the money and tasted absolutely fantastic... Will definately be coming back to sample the kebabs! Edit... Well we went back for the Kebabs and they were superb! Great food at great prices. Order here regularly and we love the bite size quadzilla, mini cheesus and tikka foldovers. Always early aswell, never have to wait long.

Bens is by far the best pizza in miles! Ordering on the app is easy or call and speak to the efficient and friendly staff. The pizzas are topped generously with the freshest of ingredients and theres a great choice of bases. Stuffed crust is the best! Delivery always as promised. Deeeeeelishhhhhh!

We tried Bens pizza last night for the first time after watching beard meets foods youtube video... only thing i can say is GORGEOUS FOOD! Such value for money, it arrives so hot and so fast! 10/10 from us! The home made garlic mayo is out of this world!!!

By far the best takeaway in Sheffield with must try special offer boxes that are perfect for movie night with your partner or just for your takeaway fix! They never fail to impress! Great value for money and would recommend for anybody! Ignore the obvious jealous takeaways below! They can’t compete!

Huge choice on the menu and easy to order on the app or by phone, staff are always really helpful and the food is always great! Pizzas are by far the best in the area and always delivered quickly, lots of other choices too like the amazing box meals and breadbowl pasta. Never order from anywhere else now!

My favourite place to go for a takeaway. Excellent food always on time. Reason for the 4 stars is discontinuing boxes that were family friendly. Not sure of reasons behind it.
