Food here is fantastic - I have been ordering from here for over a year and never had a bad meal. Service always top class to match with friendly staff always on hand

Lads ordinarily I would tell you something is wrong and I have before but it seems to be repeated a lot so I'm leaving this here. I ordered a simple chicken tikka chips and cheese. No cheese and look at the state of the amount of onions! I got a curry before and it was the same 70% onions. word of advice stop bulking meals out with onions so much! you never used to be like this! you most likely know who I am and I have mentioned before. I could have come back and changed but not worth the wait. you seem to have changed the quality and focused on quantity. You may disagree but 2 years ago your food was restaurant quality. maybe with more demand the quality has dropped but christ the amount of onions now you use to bulk meals is laughable. You can't deny this.

Foods really good. Just tried to order from here, I am a regular and order very often. This time I ordered, asked to pay by card and then stated I would collect. For some reason the staff on the phone wanted me to come into the store and pay with my card saying it will be much easier..we always pay by card over the phone. I don't carry money or cards unless absolutely necessary. I then said I would have a dog with me as I don't go out alone due to disability. He didn't care, replied with just come in a pay with your card. So I said ok I just have it delivered then and can I pay by card, so now his reply was so you want delivery now, I said yes..he then repeated like a petulant child. At this point I'm done with this charade...No I'll just cancel, it doesn't matter. Why is it so important to this firm I must come in with my card. Also afew months ago while paying with card the same person asked for the details as normal then asked for the security number on the back, I replied with you don't ask for that, and he carried on with the order. This seemed strange to me. Today I just wanted to order a curry and pick it up but ended with a debate about money and how I had to pay. Never had this issue from any takeaway or any where tbh won't be ordering again from there, very strange. Edited for the reply.. Thanks for the patronising reply I didn't want one. I didn't lie in my review, my calls are recorded. I did not ring your company to commit fraud or pay using fraudulent means as I assume you assumed and the reason I had to come in and pay with my card. Again quite strange and just disrespectful you think that of your customers and like myself a regular one. And just because you the manager says my staff didn't speak in the manor I described does not make it true, he did not say what you have quoted at all..."you want it delivered"...with attitude, was the last thing he said. So you are a liar you didn't hear him at all you are trying to make out he did nothing wrong and speak reasonably. But it doesn't matter now that is the reason you received my 1 star review.

First time ordering from here, and it didn't disappoint. Will definitely be back again.

Been wanting to try this place for a while, got a mixed kebab last night and it was better than I expected. Very nice, fresh tender chicken tikka, very nicely spiced seekh kebab and very good quality donner. Naan was also a solid 9/10. Will definitely be returning 👍 Great portion size too

I feel like Bengal Cottage has been slowly going down hill for the past year... I can't complain about the curry itself, however don't ever expect it to arrive on time, especially on a weekend... we ordered for a certain time and it took 45 minutes to arrive, and it was "leaving now" as I rang.. once it arrived they forgot our rice, the chips were so hard i could barely get my fork in them and the chicken pakoras were greasy! They did however offer us discount and an apology, but the lateness is getting very annoying now!

Our go to since we moved to Aberford. The staff simply cannot do enough. The interior of this takeaway is very modern & the food itself is beautiful. We usually collect and it is always piping hot. Would highly recommend collecting as deliveries to take time. Thank you for our spectacular feeds guy!

I placed an order with you guys 3 days ago and it was the best curry I’ve had in the last 25 years. Everything was perfect, the flavours were mouth watering, and the friendly staff at the front definitely make your wait more enjoyable. Mr Zak Dupiaza very funny little boy. We travel to Bengal at least twice a month. It’s a 45 minute round trip but it’s worth it. The food is amazing and have yet to find anywhere that beats this little gem. Mo and the staff are always welcoming and always engage with customers. If you haven’t been here you’re missing out.

We have had food quite a few times now from here. Always been spot on. We ordered a curry last week and the food wasn’t up to standards and felt it needed improvement, and we weren’t generally happy. I reached out to the owner and explained the problems with the curry and other items specifically. He was brilliant! He offered to replace our meal on a day of our choice, free of charge. We ordered a lamb bhuna, and all I can say is wow! The flavours of the curry was amazing, the lamb meat was so tender and juicy. All in all very happy with the food and will be returning. The service was 10/10 and couldn’t be happier with how the owner dealt with my complaint.

Always fantastic food. Last order was missing an item and they brought it 5 minutes from the phone call. Cannot fault them on anything.

Fantastic food and service,great value for money,yeah you might have to wait longer than average for delivery or even collection but that's because it's an above average takeaway....I'd much rather wait an hour or so for my order than pay for mediocre slop/crap delivered in 20 mins....😋👏

Took 2 hours to arrive 10 mins down the road. The taste of the curry's was so bland no flavour at all wish we had taken a photo of the state of it! we got the korma and tikka masala. A tub of the mint source has leaked all over the bag which we paid for. Cheap but not very cheer full. Think we will stick to aagrah.

Low and behold my food arrived shortly after the slot time Too marks 💯 The food was as lovely as everyone said who recommended I try this place If you haven’t already, give this place a try. I travel from Bradford every Saturday for the wonderful food! The young team here is very polite and passionate about both food and customer service. First and last time. £40 for 3 mains, 2 rice's and 1 naan, we were charged delivery even though we live in Allerton Bywater. It does say free delivery over 12 pound and 5 mile radius. I decided to give this a try, I wish I'd have stayed with the one we usually use. Far too much sauce with my curry, balti tikka massala and not very tasty.Chicken korma very bland. Tinned potatoes in our aloo pilau rice. The only good thing was the speed of delivery.

We received a menu for bengal cottage the other day and decided to give it a go and place an (first time)order. Well the service was very good when ordering, staff were very helpful and friendly meals were adapted for dietary needs, all food was lovely and hot when received and all the family really enjoyed their food. I phoned back to compliment them to share my appreciation of their food. We will be placing an order again at some point most definitely.

Hidden little gem in a small village we was diverted through. The owner approached and made convo with us, he made sure to mention that we can customise our dishes to preference. Fantastic food every time we order. Even on Friday/Saturday nights when it is very busy, the food is always spot on. Yes occasionally there is a bit of a wait, but that is only due to how busy they are which in my eyes shows how good they are! Portions are always plentiful too, strongly recommend the mixed kebab!
