My 2nd time ordering from Belmont, the portion size are fantastic and the grilled cod was delcious, chips are like chuncky homemade style and very tasty.

Food was fantastic but we ordered 2 portions of chips but there was only one portion delivered. So I’m had to go without. Ended up going completely without as there was not enough for everyone. £56 for a meal and they cannot even check the order leaves the premises with all items packed in the bag !!

This is very poor keep sending blessings out poor food these ribs were destroyed yes I got my money back but ruined my evening

It upsets me to give a bit of a negative review today, but it’s all about being honest. The chips were not cooked well enough and the doner kebab was the same, although it won’t stop me from eating there again as it’s totally understandable that everyone has their down days!

Usually always get 1 family size and 1 large size ...Unfortunately this time the family size was the same size as large.... Portions seem to have reduced.

Fish is not on par as before, no way. Soggy for some reason, ive never experienced this from this restaurant as its as always on point, maybe having a bad day.

Don’t bother ordering online thinking you will get a discounted price as they don’t honour the order even after taking the money when the order is placed online. So had to order in person after they insisted no order existed despite being given the order number and they then proceeded to charge way more than we originally paid for less as we had a piece of fish that had been requested left off the order. Tried to call about error with the order but they can’t even be bothered to answer the phone. All in all very shoddy customer service and in my opinion a total rip off. Not even nice food after all that hassle. Part 2 - In response to your reply : No, no time did my cousin say it was a telephone order. YOU made that assumption. She showed you the order number and name but you didn’t check properly. Most places have a system in place to recognise an order number regardless of how the order is made. You clearly do not. 2. I fail to see how a telephone order could have been made in the first place when you weren’t answering the phones and directing everyone to order online. 3. No you didn’t speak to me on the phone. Your records should show I tried to call as I had a text from you at 19.23, which directed me to order online through your website. That doesn’t help when I wanted to speak to you about a wrong order. But you didn’t call me and you still haven’t. 4. I maintain that I was overcharged as this was all your error. In my opinion, you saw an opportunity to get extra money for the order while and providing less than the original order. None of this alters the fact that the food was poor and not worth the £57 you charged which was less than the amount you charged by mother for the online order.

The Tar Tar sauce was left out! Needed it for the fish! and paid for it!

Not happy with the order or delivery, pre ordered at 6 for it to be delivered for 7 but arrives at 7.29. This is not on i could have just ordered it at 7 and received it at the same time. More to the point the cod fillet bites were soggy

the driver gave us the wrong food and then drove off without even checking. we had no time to make the change and then I had to go and drop off the food myself. absolute joke.

The fish n chips are fair but the staff constantly try to overcharge for what you have ordered and give the wrong change. All I can say is food not bad but watch what they charge you they are thieves. Yes and it happened again and I’ll say it again THIEVES P.S and the Bag of Chips portions are getting smaller!

First class fish and chips! Generous portions, even the lunchtime "lite-bites". As well as fish, Belmont Bay serves excellent fried chicken with chips. Loyalty card scheme also available. On Fridays there is a queue out the door, i.e. this place is certainly popular. Staff are helpful and polite. Have visited Belmont Bay several times and will definitely be going back.

Changed back to 5 stars since 4 years ago, but will keep rest of review for reference, as they are Probably the one of the best in the area for miles. Great taste, and that's just the chips. Try it once and you will go again. Beware of a long line people queuing up to get in, especially on a Friday night. Changed to 5 to 3 star.(4yrs ago) I went in for 2 chips and a pastry but they forgot to pack the pastry and the chips were half warm and half cold. Unusual. But had to throw the food away.

I have been a customer for this wonderful atmosphere of a shop for many years now, and I have got to say, this is one of the most devoted and most leading stores I have ate at. My mum always takes me here since I was a little girl and I have always loved the taste of the freshly cooked cod bites and the finest firm seasoned kebabs. I really enjoy the define lovely smelling chips and detailed cooking of the fish! I would definitely pay a visit! ❤️ It’s 100% worth it.

Ordered a cheese burger through Uber Eats. When I chose the cheese burger it gave me the option to pay 40p on top of the price of the burger to add a slice of cheese. I didn't choose to add cheese as I logically assumed that something that was being sold as a CHEESE BURGER would, by definition, have cheese in it and that the option to pay 40p was to add EXTRA cheese. The burger arrived without cheese. How can you sell something called a cheese burger if it doesn't become a cheese burger until the customer pays extra, on top of the price of something that is already being advertised as a cheese burger, to add the cheese?!

Went here for Good Friday and wasn't disappointed. There was a (naturally for the day of the year) huge queue that went all the way outside, but that's always a good sign. The fish was simply sublime. Fresh, delicious and exactly what the family wanted. The chips were on point too. That perfect balance of crispy and fluffy. Prices are also very reasonable for London and didn't break the bank. Really pleased with the overall experience. Great job guys 💪💪

Sausauge short as per my order, but nevermind food is excellent today

Honestly writing notes for this place is completely pointless. The third time I’ve ordered and they continuously send dry chips without any vinegar despite my requests. Then on top of that when you contact them they’re rude and unhelpful. Their Saveloy is dry too.

Every time I go here I always walk out with a smile on my face and get home to fill my stomach
