Bellmans Cross Inn in Wyre Forest

Always excellent service with truly amazing food. We visit fairly regularly and the Bellmans never disappoints, never had a bad meal. The fillet beef was beautifully cooked (medium rare) and was really enjoyable. My wife had fish from the Specials board which she really enjoyed too. For dessert we had Sticky toffee pudding which was also really lovely. You can tell everything is cooked from fresh. Great for Sunday lunch too.

We had a lovely evening at Dominique's Restaurant at Bellmans Cross Inn. The staff were very helpful advising us about the vegan options on offer and it was so lovely to enjoy a plant based meal prepared by a creative chef. The slow cooked Celeriac Steak and roasted vegetables were excellent and the Mushroom and Pea Risotto was utterly delicious too. We'll definitely be back when we are next in Arley!

A delicious Sunday lunch, crab samosas, duck, crème brûlée all stunning! Excellent service, highly recommend, have been coming for years, always good.

A fantastic birthday experience. Visited with friends for a birthday celebration, something on the menu to please everyone. The seafood platter starter is to die for as was the steak. The food is exceptional, service was excellent and wines very reasonably priced one on my list for a return visit.

This restaurant is ace for a family get together . Wishing our eldest son all the best before moving to America and of the restaurants we use this was his first choice. Excellent food, service and menu. We have enjoyed so many meals but you can always find something different to try. Tuna, Dover sole and lamb cutlets were the main courses chosen today. Scotch egg and Asparagus with broad beans and poached egg as starters. AMAZING! No other words required. You honestly cannot fault this restaurant. Hubby was the only person to have room for a desert and the crème brûlée was absolutely delicious. I don’t like crème brûlée but helping my husband out wasn’t a chore but a pleasure, never had another so creamy and delicious.

An absolute gem! If you like delicious food, and I mean delicious! That is presented beautifully, with impeccable service then go here. We have been here twice and will definitely go again. If you like fish then I recommend the Lemon sole outstanding flavour and presentation. I can also recommend the fillet of beef, delicious flavour cooked to perfection. I wish I had belly room for 2.

Fantastic choice and food. My choice was half of lobster whilst hubby had Dover sole. Huge lobster, I haven’t had such a large claw. Beautifully cooked and served. The Dover sole was beautiful and on the bone. Excellent food and service too.

Last minute booking for Thursday lunch. We both had the rib-eye with dauphinois and roasted vegetables. Devine. The steak was cooked to perfection and was as tender as a fillet. Cannot recommend highly enough.👏👏👏👍

What can I say . I have been a regular at the Belmans cross for many years wether alone or with family and friends . This establishment never disappoints. The food and service exceptional . Tired place in need of a revamp in terms of everything. The decor is so dated it's nearly funny. The menu feels like something nearly as dated as the decor. Now for context I've eaten in some good French restaurants and quite a bit in France itself so i was hoping for something good when booking here. The reviews made it look great. Walking in to the pub it feels homely but then you get lead to the restaurant which in all honesty need a complete refit, it feels like a nursing home. Had a look down the menu in hopes that the food would shine and ordered the burrata starter followed by the fillet. The starter was ok, fairly bland but ok. The fillet though was overdone even though it was supposed to be medium-rare, the accoutrement was meagre and over-fussy which i can only assume was to try and make it look a bit more highbrow. In summary if Gordon walked in here he would have a field day.

Nice atmosphere and staff are friendly. The food is very close to being good. Excellent ingredients. I had scallops to start, which were tasty, but effectively three small queen scallops with no roe that looked like they'd been halved horizontally. Served with a bit of chorizo. I noted that my other half who had the same starter did have roe on hers, so wonder if they had in fact run out of scallops and still tried to serve the dish. Was light in terms of volume. However, my biggest disappointment was the steak, again. Ordered fillet, cooked rare. It was medium-well. My other half ordered medium-rare and got medium. This happened before back in Feb (the last time we visited) and we sent them back and they were recooked. This time, too much effort. The staff did ask if everything was ok, but equally, they could see the fact that it was massively overcooked. It's tremendously disappointing, and second time through. Will have to consider if we go again as the venue is nice (and convenient for us), and the food is very nearly there with some nice flavours, but still a long way off. Personally felt a bit cheated with the starter and overcooked on my main.

Amazing lunch as usual. Fabulous food and service. Hubby had the lamb parcel which was so tender and tasty. I had the bouillabaisse which was amazing. I so wanted the croquet monsuire but obviously had no room so took it as meal for tomorrow instead. Takeaway collected, bill paid and see you next week.👍👍👍👏👏👏👏👏

Perfect for lunch or dinner. An amazing menu, superb wine list and some very fine real ales. Views from the back are exquisite and the owner/chef and his staff are just brilliant. Very highly recommended.

Went today for Sunday lunch absolutely knew it wouldn't disappoint, fabulous perfectly cooked duck in teriyaki sauce, trio of fish with watercress sauce all sublime, then amazing chocolate fondant, perfectly melting in the middle and a lemon and passion fruit tart. Lovely staff and top notch service, then I met Dominique on the way out, which was a bonus 🇨🇵🇨🇵🇨🇵🇨🇵🇨🇵 overall a superb experience

My partner and I decided to come here for our anniversary. When I tell you that this was some of the best food I’ve had in such a long time. The mussels were little purses of flavour. I had barely touched the meat of the lamb shank and it melted off the bone. It was served with a delicious thyme mash that complimented the roasted vegetables beautifully. Finally, the crème brûlée was silky smooth with a snappy sugar caramelisation, everything you would want if you’re after a sweet treat after dinner. Oliver’s service was nothing less than impeccable. He is a true credit to the business and I have half a mind to poach him for my own venue. Thank you for such a special evening. There is no doubt in my mind that we will be back. If you are in the area, or even if you aren’t, make the journey and try out this little hidden gem I can assure you that you will not regret it.

Great Sunday lunch takeaway . It was so easy it was ready exactly the time it was booked for and piping hot. The food was amazing and great to eat it in front of the tv. Also slight advantage if you get there 15 minutes early you can grab a quick pint ( with an allocated driver ) Decided why bother cooking yourself with food at this quality .

Fabulous lunch with our son’s and granddaughter. Eldest had two starters as you can’t get a scotch egg in the States. All meals were delicious and served with beautiful vegetables. Only one taker for a sweet as we’d all eaten so much. Excellent service as usual. Well done everyone.👏👏👏👍👍👍

This place is on our doorstep, but we've always thought we need to travel for good food...... We were so, so wrong! Atmosphere was lovely, real 'country pub' vibe. Service was friendly and professional. Food was outstanding.....best meal we've had in such a long time and this includes a few Michelin starred restaurants. Chef obviously knows his stuff! As always, fabulous food and service. Everything was perfect.I was so pleased the teriyaki mackerel was available as it is delicious. Everyone really enjoyed their meals. Tvisor wouldn’t show my last review for some reason so I must say how wonderful the burns night menu was. The Cullen skink should be on the menu more often. It was so tasty and a meal in its self. We have enjoyed the tender and tasty steaks and also shared the fish platter. Excellent.

Lovely evening spent here. We stopped over in our campervan (Britstop) and had dinner - it just so happened to be valentines and so a set menu but it was amazing! Beautiful quality food and wonderfully cooked and presented - top class! I only wish we lived nearby so we could come more often! Will definitely look to stop in again when travelling this way. Excellent with my dietary requirements too (coeliac).

Excellent Burns Night Out! Superb Cullen Skink, smoked venison, haggis and neeps, casseroled venison in pastry and Chrachan to follow. All served by welcoming friendly staff in an amazing atmosphere with live music to entertain us and a very original and heartfelt blessing of the haggis! Loved every minute. Well done all🎉

Another lovely meal and the service was excellent. My husband had the lemon sole and I had some of his black garlic mash which was superb. The selection of vegetables were as usual, delicious.

I’d heard fab things from friends and acquaintances and seen lovely images on social media. Originally, we’d booked to go to a place nearer home on 24th December, sadly, it closed down which gave us the perfect opportunity to try The Bellmans Cross! We were early diners, which was perfect before it got too busy in the restaurant! We loved everything! Our waiter, in his Greggs Christmas jumper, had a great personality and made it for us! We have been going to Dominique’s for years, our first choice for birthdays, anniversary or a bit of a treat. Never been disappointed, their fish dishes are particularly good, Service at Dominique’s is friendly and just quick enough without being hurried, their prices are very reasonable considering the quality of the food and their staffing.

As always a truly excellent meal. Beautifully cooked food served by friendly and knowledgeable staff. Really cannot fault anything.

We have never had a bad meal at the bellman’s. The food is excellent and we are extremely lucky to Have such good food so close to home. We also use their takeaway service on themed nights which is just as good.

Went yesterday evening for mother in laws 93rd birthday. They provided her with a beautifully served happy birthday dessert (free of charge) when they knew it was her birthday. Lovely surprise for her. She doesn't eat alot and to be honest wherever we go she finds something wrong with the food. Last night she said it was the best duck she had ever had. She didn't order a dessert because she said she was full but she soon devoured the dessert provided. The chef and staff were very friendly. Absolutely outstanding. Cant recommend enough. Thank you for a lovely evening. I've never seen Rosa so chuffed.

Absolutely fabulous Sunday lunch celebrating our wedding anniversary with family. Everything about the day was marvellous. The staff were attentive and nothing was any bother. The food was as usual excellent and very high quality. There were 20 of us in the private dining room and everyone commented on the excellent food they had enjoyed. Only a few had eaten there prior to Sunday but I’m sure they will return. The service was brilliant and we didn’t wait long for our food or for the subsequent courses. I would particularly like to commend them for the variety of starters and main courses and the fabulous vegetarian selections. Great time had by all and well done to Matt and his team 👏👏👏

We were seated in a bar room but we were paying restaurant prices, which by the way, were far over the .top for what appeared to be boil in the bag meals of not very good quality.
