Bellinis Restaurant in St. Helens

We’re here for new years meal paid £60 each for a set meal got there at 7:45 got our starter at 8:15 really nice then we waited and waited till we had to ask the waitress were our mains were it was now 9:45 she came back said yours is next in about 10 mins we spoke to manager who said one of the chefs had gone to A&E we said no one had even been out to apologise for the delay which would have been more acceptable than being kept waiting when the meal came my mums lamb was tough and my sisters ravioli looked like a child’s portion while we weren’t being served 2 tables that came after us had had all there courses and yes they did give us a free round of drinks a little gesture but still didn’t make up for putting a dampener on our night all it would have taken was for a sorry it’s delayed

Delicious food and even accommodated slight differences to the meals we wanted. Fabulous service (Sophie was amazing) beautiful decor and lovely background piano music. Definitely will be back.

Fantastic meal with great service. We haven’t visited the restaurant for a couple of years and we were really impressed. Couldn’t fault a thing. We will definitely return.

Had a private function here Sunday afternoon for my Mum's 80th. Everything was just perfect from the help we were given, amazing food and service and fantastic setting. I cannot fault anything. The staff even carried my mums presents out to the car for her! There were 30 of us and for everyone to be impressed is a rare thing, but not a single complaint.

I thoroughly enjoyed last night with 6 friends. Service fantastic, food absolutely lovely, and the live pianist was incredible. I really don’t think you can beat it. Lovely gesture from owner too- drink on house. I will most definitely return soon.

We went here for a romantic meal .We were not disappointed. Lovely food ,very nice staff we were well looked after .The piano player made it all that more special.we will definitely be going there again.

Booked Christmas Day lunch for family of 9 adults and 2 children, nice touch giving the kids a little Christmas box. We had lovely little canapés to start 3 different kinds which were very nice, then we had our starters, soup for some goats cheese tart and ham hock for others, all enjoyed them. Main meals were great again different food ordered the fillet steak was exceptional and again everyone enjoyed what they had ordered. Deserts were lovely although everyone was getting full by this time but we all finished them. Waiting staff were kept quite busy serving drinks and food, the only downside to the whole day was the piano which was far too loud for a smallish room, we had to shout to be heard which was a shame. The chefs and kitchen staff did a fantastic job as the food was excellent. All in all a very good lunch with no washing up

Called in on off chance & were seated & served quickly by very pleasant & helpful staff. We had the fillet steak with chips & seasonal veg. All excellent. The piano man wasn’t bad either! Pity only open on Friday & Saturday

2nd visit here and overall very disappointed. We arrived and when given menus were asked to order only from either the special festive menu or the al a carte . Whilst I appreciate this makes life easier for the kitchen it was not explained when booking . We all opted for the festive menu which was at best ok . To add to our misery some of our party said their food was cold. The atmosphere in restaurant was spoiled by the pianist that was playing so loud we were all shouting at each other x sorry bellinis not your finest hour .

When it’s on it’s game this restaurant is very good. Consistence of food and service and knowing when it’s open has been an issue in the past but has improved over the last few months. But this inconsistency in the past has led to a drop off in customers. Not helped by the car park resembling a scrap yard too. Not good for customers or village image too. On the positive the food is very good now, staff helpful and pleasant, lots of choice to suit all budgets. Comfortable atmosphere. We go in quite regularly and will do so whilst current standards are maintained or even get better. Reliable consistency is the key. Good so far, please continue. Oh and move the scrap vans and cars to a more appropriate location, repair the wall properly and be the showpiece of the village that it could be.

We live in the village and have had meals in the pub next door, but this is the next level, staff, food, atmosphere excellent, no complaints the food was really good but expensive for were we are but nevertheless good, well worth a visit you won’t be disappointed, even the piano player performed well

Lovely setting. Didn’t book but probably should book ahead we went quite early and were lucky. Nice attentive staff. Food was lovely particularly the garlic mushrooms.

Perfect. Lovely service, nice wine. Great food. And what was to make the bight exceptional is the fantastic pianist. Don’t hesitate. You’ll have a lovely romantic evening

We visited Bellinis on the 17/9 at 6:45 and had pre-booked. We were greeted and seated and ordered 2 cocktails which were great! (Espresso martini & Long Island) they have a great range of drinks. The staff were all very good and friendly. Me & my husband had 3 courses, food was to a very high standard and presented really well. The staff checked in to see how we were enjoying the food & frequently replenished drinks. We were given generous portions and took a little doggy bag home so we could fit in dessert! The food we had: meatballs & half & half garlic bread with cheese & tomato. Carbonara with chicken and cheese and & crème brûlée - all of which were highly recommended! I also had a baileys coffee after my meal. There was a pianist playing during our meal which really made the evening as he was fabulous! I have already recommended to friends & family & will be returning soon! The only downside is that they are currently only open on a Friday & Saturday 😊
