Bella's Bistro seems to be Paul Arthur's restaurant! We had a lovely meal there.

Paul is very nice and welcoming host. We were staying with two huge not always quiet dogs and we never felt that it was any issues. We spent absolutely fantastic week in very comfy, well equipped room with access to the garden. We were spoilt every morning with delicious breakfast and Lobster served in the restaurant was excellent too. We will be definitely looking forward to be back in Kircubbin sometime again. Thanks Paul and staff from Anna, Marcin, Brego and Vera

I tried to cancel a week in advance and could not get in touch through phone or email or anything! Still no answer and I never got my money back for a stay I could not make.

All started well as owner was friendly. First issue - 1 towel in the room , booking was for 2 people. Then the light over the mirror did not work , meaning could not have a shave. Then I went to have a shower to find the soap dispenser was empty in the shower, there was a basket there also which had body lotion but no shampoo or soap . I thought these would have been basics to get right. We went down for breakfast , the place where we sat for food had car parts in the middle of the floor, and the " bar area " was filthy . The cheese with the breakfast was mouldy , the coffee was instant and not pleasant. I got charged twice as well just to make matters worse

A small hotel /restaurant in a little viallage on Strangford Lough, spotless, beautifully decorated bedrooms, a quite bar and private walled garden. Excellent value for money with Paul the friendly owner /chef cooking a range of meals from an enormous traditional breakfast to gourmet fish dishes and everthing inbetween. Try his locally bred steaks! This was one of the most enjoyable and relaxing stays I have had in along time and I shall most certainly return!

Amongst our best experiences in Irland's B&Bs. The host is really nice, welcoming, and such a nice cook ! The rooms are cosy, clean, and well prepared. And the B&B is in the center of the city. Will definitely come back there !

First, I have to admit, I did not have lunch at Bella's, only breakfast. 'Only breakfast', was hardly 'only' as it was quite delectable. This review is about spending the night in Bella's Bistro - which was extremely comfortable, quiet, and private despite the fact that one has to go through the main thoroughfare of the restaurant to access the guest room. While I'm hardly complaining about this, its more than I'm delighted the owners trust their guests to wander pass their bakery without reaching in for an eclair or meringue on their way upstairs. The rooms aren't large, but the size of an average bedroom with a bathroom with a good hearty shower head! Our room had a window along one entire side that looked out into a garden - which was much of a pleasant surprise! My personal feelings is Kircubbin is on the edge of a revival and Bella's will be first in line to take in guests. I look forward to revisiting for a night or two and get to know more of the kind local folk.

Menu has reduced a lot in last few years but food still very good. Bit pricey at £28 for an 8 Oz steak. Service is superb and plenty of drink choice.

Variety of different foods. A benefit is that breakfast is served til 3 which is great. They also can do gluten free and vegetarian/vegan foods which is a bonus for people with allergies or dietary requirements. Variety of cold drinks and hot drinks for anyone. Staff is very friendly and happy! Overall great experience

Sadly, The Wildflower has been closed since December 2023 and still closed August 2024. There is hope, locally, that it will open soon.
