My son is feeling really ill after his food here it wasn’t that warm it was sloppy and really Greasy will never go again !!!

A generally awful experience We ordered 2 cocktails and had to question if they were mocktails. Tasted like fruit juice. £7.95 each, what a rip off. Secondly, I ordered a carbonara. I was greeted with a pasta dish resembling carbonara however full of vegetables. No staff member came over to ask if everything was okay and about 15 minutes later the full plate of food was cleared untouched and my partners empty plate and still no questions asked regarding my untouched meal When a member of staff came over to ask about desserts I just asked if their carbonara was different to a traditional carbonara and did it contain veg. She replied no and I explained mine was full. She proceeded on to say I’d been given another tables meal. This member of staff dissapeared and I presumed this would be to discuss a way to rectify with her boss. There was no mention of this, we was presented with the full bill plus a service charge which I was very reluctant to pay however my partner felt extremely uncomfortable with other customers around for us to be complaining. The situation progressively got worse when neighbouring tables were advised that they could only bank transfer the money. This created a very hostile environment hearing other customers explaining they don’t use online banking and only being advised of this after the meal. I have since contacted them via Facebook to express my upset. All messages read straight away and ignored which after reading other reviews I have seen seems to be the standard for this restaurant. Rude staff, awful food. Do not waste your money.

Came for a birthday meal. Took half an hour after being seated for the waiters to remember us and take our order. Another 50 minutes passed and we finally got our food. Absolute average food but with fine dining prices. 10% service charge whacked on on the sky aswell, no men to on of it anywhere until you get the receipt. Wasn’t even particularly busy. The manager/owner fella just stands there shouting at the young girls he has working for him. Chef didn’t even look like he was in any rush either. Such a shame as there’s nowhere good to eat in Walton le dale. They’re sat on a potential gold mine and they can’t even provide adequate service. Won’t be returning, awful establishment.

The food was absolutely amazing. We had a date, the staff was incredibly attentive and polite, the newish waitress was fantastic and very helpful. The food really was great. Well cooked. Lovely presentation. Really tasty. I recommend.

I came here with my mum last week for the first time. Lovely meal and great service. We were even treated to a free drink. Our waitress Kelcey was friendly and chatty. Great experience.

Don’t bother, very over priced & actual cooked food is tasteless. I’m sure they were serving food from Iceland (gyros) at more than double the price. Never had tapas like that before, they should try their dishes before they put them in the menu. Garlic breads were ok, although co-op over the road do better for less that half the price and a quick 9 minute blast in oven. Should have stayed closed as it was rubbish before then as well. 2 adults, 2 kids, 3 pints beer and was about £100, wish we’d gone to the fabulous Italian orchard restaurant instead and spent just a little bit more and got some amazing food. Never again. Should turn it into a nice bar with nibbles.

Very disappointed with the service, food and the managers ignorant manners. Birthday meal with family; chose the the special offer advertising any tapas, side and soft drink £9.95. Told only allowed to choose one of the 3 sides rice, fries or salad. Remaining sides kn the menu not included even though the terms of the offer didn't specify this. Ordered main courses, gyros was sloppy and bland, explained to the waitress that we were not happy withe quality and taste of the food, she walked away and spoke to the manger but didnt come back to us. Manager was sat in the restaurant and refused to discuss the quality of food. Staff looked terrified of him and therefore didn't report our concerns to him. We've eaten in lots of local restaurants, trying to support local businesses... this one needs to be avoided at all costs.

Highly disappointed at the Bella Maria Broughton. Before ordering food we ordered drinks, two of which were 2 Pina Colada for £12, we also orded my 6 year old a mocktail. The Pina Colada tasted terrible, like it had no alcohol in it and just tasted of pineapple juice. I spoke to a waitress and asked her if they had mistakenly made a mocktail as I orded one for my daughter, she said it was made with alcohol and my daughter's wasn't, she looked embarrassed and walked away, I thought she may be handling the matter but she wasn't, she just carried on waitressing. I then mentioned it to another waitress and told her I would like to send the one I hadn't drank back, I explained why and then ordered a house wine. (There was no apology or enthusiasm to rectify the issue) When the bill came, we were charged for one of the terrible Pina Coladas (just under £8 for a pineapple juice basically!) and my daughter's mocktail was charged at the same price! Nearly £8 I questioned this with the waitress, who proceeded to say 'well it's made with the same ingredients! As one that would have alcohol in it, but it didn't have alcohol in it! And it wasn't on the menu, they said they would just make her a mocktail up, but I didn't expect to be charged the same as an alcoholic cocktail off the menu. just absolutely disgraceful, no sincere apology and it just felt like we over paid for the poor service and drinks.

Over priced food and drinks ,Very limited menu can’t call themselves Italian, no olives, or pasta dishes. Had to ask for cutlery and salt and pepper, go down the road to the Orchard or Nono Carlo for a much better experience. 10% service charge added for groups of more than 1 person, what’s that all about !

Bella Maria does great Pizza but such a shame about the lack of service as we were out for drinks and could only have two due to the two girls working being rushed off their feet!! Every table was full which is great but only two girls waiting on, just not realistic for people to come for a meal out and feel looked after! Think will be keeping it as a place for takeaway pizza which is a shame as they are only 5 mins down the road!

Absolutely shocked at how poor the food and drinks were. We ordered 2 cocktails that were served in a wine glass and only filled half of it, apparently they had run out of glasses and had a new bar attender. The calzone was not cooked in the middle, the mushrooms and ham were raw and cold. The paella was not a paella, it was very sloppy and salty, more risotto in consistency. To top off the pleasure they then automatically add on a 10% service charge whether you enjoyed it or not.

Finally back in Broughton after a short closure. Food was great. Amazing pizza and Italian style tapas. Lovely decor and the staff are ace. Would highly recommend and we will be frequent visitors.

This restaurant used to be great. Good food appropriately priced but over recent months the cost have constantly increased and it is now grossly overpriced. Staff change on a weekly basis, service is inconsistent and it is only open in the evenings.
