After a poor first visit to the branch, the manager corrected the problem and delivered exceptional service to correct. Great service

I actually laughed when I got home and saw how bad the chips were. They were old from the day before and re-fried. The worst I can recall. Can’t believe that such poor food can be served legally or that the owner is ok to do that.

For a MINI cod and chips, the fish was huge! Really tasty, but the chips weren't great, I think they forgot the salt and vinegar. But it was a really good price for what we got, so I would recommend. They also have the new Orleans burgers here, and I can't recommend them enough!

The only chip shop to ever serve me completely stone cold, fridge temperature curry sauce. Also possibly the worst “battered” chips I’ve ever had.

Very long wait, fish had to be cooked but I could see the fish in the serving hatch while telephone orders were being dealt with and new customers served. very poor quality cod, nearly all batter couldn't see much white fish..won't be going back

Cold, old and plain. Ordered battered sausage and chips with curry sauce,. Didn’t even eat half, spent £28 on 2 portions of it. Only positive was the curry sauce. The mrs has been throwing up a couple hours later. Never again.

Only nipped on for a quick battered sausage at lunch to keep me warm, but that genuinely was the best battered sausage I've ever had - cooked fresh, the sausage meat was spot on, and the batter was beautiful! Light but chunky, and nice and crispy. Looking forward to trying more off the menu next time I'm in town 😃

Came here before and chips were delicious and fresh with batter. Came today and cost 6.85 for fish cake , battered chips and curry. The chips were recooked absolutely nothing like original time. Disgusting for the price. Put off.

Food was OK ordered chips , curry, sausage, Donna meat, curry was tasty Donna meat ok chips was recooked, chips nice big chunky but definitely recooked big let down, staff was polite and friendly service was slow but good ..

First time as by chance I was passing and it was lunchtime! Food was hot, amazing value and battered chips were awesome! Worth a try - would recommend! Abi served with a smile and was very helpful. Will be back!

Not impressed at all Nothing like the very original becks chippy in Darlaston Food cold fish small and in a box presentation awful Very expensive for what they dish out. Does not compare to Aldridge chippy or the one on lazy hill either When you complain they block you don't even come back to you. Can't see this place lasting long 6 months trading only and there already closing down.

Great little chip shop, great staff (linzi, Dean, mckayla) great service. Well worth a visit for the kebab meat, I never use to eat kebab meat but their's is amazing (80% lamb & not greasy), also their tikka kebab is very tasty, I do also like their battered chips, Highly recommend 😘

Sorry but poor and slow service. Order machines never work. Get told last minute certain items are unavailable literally when i have already paid for it . Food for myself has been under whelming and don't get the hype at all.

Dry chips, please do not sell customers stale food. Food also tasted like it was cooked in old oil and was inedible. I could only eat the roe inside the batter, probably because this had been freshly cooked. I will not be buying from here again

I thought I would try this place as other branches have had positive responses from friends. Friday evening around 8pm asked for a kebab and chips and said can I get a mix of donner and chicken which I was told yes. Paid £9 and literally got 80% donner and 20% chicken so a bit underwhelmed if I’m honest, chips were nice so willing to try again but expect more for best part of £10 in terms of quantity and mix of kebab meat.

Ordered a scallop and fried chicken. Scallop was undercooked and hard, chicken was very overdone and not edible. Won’t be returning.

Great staff great food... had several people walking past aswell saying how nice the food was. Definately my only fish and chip shop for future.

Really impressed with how good the food, portion and presentation was. To be totally honest the battered chips are too starchy for my taste but I ordered donner meat with normal chips this time and it was the best chippy I’ve had. I normally go to the lighthouse but their donner meat is hit and miss whether it’s cooked well or not but beks runs rings around them.

First time trying Beks last night the food was amazing the customer service was 10/10 very warm welcoming when I walked into the shop the battered chips are to die for will be returning

Just bought a protein box ( no box) and a small chips. Freezing cold. Chicken portion half the size as usual. £9.88 spent. I expected enough for two. So disappointed. One regular less.

Food cold, and over 1 hour late, they also lied over the phone.

First time and last time having food from here 20 mins had to wait me & my husband had fish & battered chips shoved in a little box yes the fish was long but not much fish more batter than anything full of grease 3'hours after eating both me and my husband started getting cramps in our stomach and felt sick and we hadn't ate all day so was looking forward to fish & chips very disappointed

5 stars just isn’t enough!! I normally don’t do this but I had to phone the restaurant after to show them how happy I was !! The best donner kebab I have eatten !! Everything from the fresh salad with proper slices of onion the fresh pitta and the donner meat so juicy and flavourful and then the cheesy chips too !! Came quite quick too so impressed will only go to bexs Aldridge chippy for a kebab from now on !! No one else can cut it !

Having moved to aldridge recently we struggled to find a fully halal chippy also not serving pork products aswell.was so happy to no BEKS opened in aldridge.having visited the darlaston branch many times i can say this is by far the best chippy in and around walsall itself and battered chips and donner meat is amazing..allhumdulilah

I didn’t enjoy my fish chips and peas The batted chips was hard as iron and covers in grease The fish was half the size it should be and dry as a bone The peas was tasteless Yes I was very disappointed BILLY

Fish & Chips = 9/10. Nearly one of the best Fish I’ve ever eaten. Donner Burger Meal = 10/10. Donner was not greasy nor oily. Burger was huge and a very generous portion of chips. Chicken & Chips = 9/10. Large chicken piece, not the usual injected water filled chicken. Really enjoyable. Curry Sauce = 10/10.

Although the staff are friendly the food we had was appalling 2nd time ordering here thought we'd try again wish we never bothered people in aldridge must love grease 🤮 1st order I had chicken kebab meet in the tray it was like chicken scratchings sent it back to be told thats how we do our kebab! It was dry and over cooked and cut up really thin ( obviously more cost effective....for them) 2nd order I had battered sausage it was the most disgusting thing I've ever tasted, the batter was full of grease and so soggy on the inside it all got stuck to my teeth. The chips again full of grease when you squeezed them it dripped of it just vile....never again! Over priced and bad quality.

This is a prime example of how a take away should be run. We have been visited this chippy on a weekly basis since it's opening and have never been disappointed. The food is delicious, served piping hot and the service efficient. A great addition to Aldridge town centre :)

Old chips Fish was like Toast!!!!

Food was quality. The vegetables in the protein box was crisp and fresh. The meat and chicken was fully flavoured and complimented each other. The fish was cooked to perfection and the batter was not soggy. The battered chips was unique and tasted amazing

Would have been 5 stars had I not had to wait 25 mins for fish & chips in an empty shop. C’mon guys I don’t even wait this long for an Indian curry. Good customer service from the girl on the till. Food made up for the wait, but sadly wont be returning anytime soon as the wait drained out my excitement and energy to try this place out.

Had a small chips and pot of cheese sauce for a late lunch with my partner. Plenty for the 2 of us. The chippy itself is immaculately clean and tastefully decorated. Staff were very welcoming. They do have screens you can order on which was nice to browse the menu without feeling pressure (not that I think the staff would make you feel pressured to order). They do battered chips but we took the option to have half and half which was a lovely choice to have. We ate outside in the sunshine which added to the experience. We will definitely eat here again and would recommend to others. Give it a try!

Fabulous donner kebab burgers ( massive.)... and the battered chips were the best we've had in year's, extremely welcoming & friendly staff.... and the packaging was also top notch 5 star easily!!!!!

Customer service very friendly, I would have liked to rate the food more stars, but cannot due to the quality. I have been looking forward to a new chip shop in Aldridge! I had to reheat my fish and chip in the microwave, chips were cold, plus had a large fish, hardly any fish, plenty of spongy batter. Quite disappointed having spent £9.45 on a large fish and chip! Shame the food wasn’t fantastic! I have taken a picture of the food, as I couldn’t believe the lack of fish!

I was impressed so much by the chip butty I had to return to the shop to tell the staff how good it was. The battered chips are the most delicious I've experienced. The generous quantity of ketchup went very well as an accompaniment to the butty. I'm occasionally in the village and usually bring my own food, but so glad I went to Bek's today. Well done 👏

Had a small box of batterd chips and they were cold and hard had to wait for the fishcakes to be cooked so they must of served the chips that had been already cooked had to throw them away when we got home ☹☹

Bek's is a new chippy in Aldridge, and all I can say is WOW! It is so clean, staff are friendly, VERY quick service, food is delicious! Yes prices are higher, however that is reflected in the service and standard of food. The battered chips are to die for!! This is my favourite chippy in aldridge.

First order last week Ordered two roe got given one roe one scallop !! Benefit of doubt tried again last night Fish & chips & protein box Fish was horrendous batter soggy and pale protein box meat cold !! Messaged via Insta to explain messages were opened & read and completely ignored !! Horrific customer service they clearly don’t care to put the issue right .. SHOCKING !! Will not go far with that attitude I mean nearly £13 for fish & chips and it’s sent cold soggy & quite frankly they did not care …, Avoid Twice our order was unacceptable they think the solution is to BLOCK you on social media The most unproffesional attitude .. Disgrace

Chips, fresh, crispy and soft on the inside. Same for the fish. Only criticism, could have done with few more splashes of vinegar and tad more salt. Will ask next time. #Halal

OMG. We've just had the pleasure of the best chippy tea tonight. Great service, very friendly staff, immaculately clean shop. Most importantly the food was outstanding. Perfect battered chips, the cod was so fresh and fell apart and the mixed meat protein box was banging (our Son's words). We most definitely will be visiting Beks again. Can't recommend highly enough. 👍👍

Staff nice. Chips ok ish ... meat horrendous cold and chips not far off. Asked for charred chicken got cold dried up shrivelled chicken from pan that looked like been in there for ages. Expected more! Disappointed. I live 2 mins from shop so expected it to be 🔥 not cold!
