First time trying this place as I was recommended, it was a weekday and It wasn't too busy, I opted for the large fish and chips, the chips were fresh and piping hot, very tasty. The fish was crispy and flaky which was also really good

Got really bad food poisoning not just me my whole family the kebab was raw the chips was soaked in oil and the girl that took my order had a really bad attitude which was not needed won’t be coming back any time soon was recommended but food was really bad

Was first class service the food was delicious. The best crispy battered chips ever tasted Thank-you for the lovely food it was that delicious we advertised the food to our family and friends that we came back the next day fir another order. Yummy 😋

Food is decent enough but the prices are an absolute disgrace. Just gone to order thru Uber eats and £14.17 for a large mixed meat and chips. Beyond ridiculous when other local chippys are charging £7-8.

Best battered chips I've eaten. Chunky chips, crispy batter. A bit pricy, but worth it in my opinion. Update a few months later. Their chips are still good, but this time a bought a fish as well. Fish wasn't as good. It was about 80% batter and 20% cod. The cod was about the thickness of a fish finger and was covered in a thick doughy batter around 2cm thick. I wouldn't buy the fish again, was a waste of money. Will stick to the chips.

I ordered chicken and chips when I last came here and was told they changed the recipe on the chicken. It tasted just as good if not better than the times I had it before so I have no complaints about bek’s. The staff always have treated me with extremely good customer service, would highly recommend if you want to a good quality chippy.

Updated review: For delivery, they now have included gyro flatbread, naan and pitta with their kebab options, so now I have nothing to complain about. Whether my previous review has anything to do with it or not, they are definitely receptive to customer feedback which is always great for any business as its the only way to improve. Prices seem high, but food is always fresh and good quality, with generous portions and nice wrapping, and the delivery driver is always so polite and the one time I spoke with someone over the phone, the gentleman was also very nice. Best chippy. Give it a go.

The owners of this buisness still seem to think they can just block out any negative feedback rather than take note and deal with any complaining customers. Those with genuine complaints get blocked on social media and hung up on. Are these really the kind of people who deserve your money. Food is always cooked fresh and you don’t wait long. The shop is immaculate there’s no grease smell like other chippys and the staff are always friendly and helpful. For battered chips not once have they ever felt stodgy or oily. You get a large amount of whatever you’ve ordered for your money, you literally won’t find better in the West Midlands.

We traveled all the way from Hampshire to try their battered chips, a black country dish no one has ever heard of, and completely worth the journey. So crispy and amazing. I had kebab with mine, and even that was perfect. Huge portion sizes. 2 adults eating and our bill was only £13, so amazing value. The staff were lovely. Can not rate this experience any higher.

I had the chicken kebab and battered chips, chicken was tandoori ISH! Absolutely amazing,great quality and so cheap, don't hesitate to buy your takeaway from here, we travelled firm Hampshire to try and the battered chips are chrunchtastic.

Customer service excellent. Battered chips, donner and chicken donner were great. Fish was filled with oil and didn't have that crispy outter layer but instead was just drenched in oil. Sadly I had to throw away. Hopefully this can be improved.

£4.29 for a small portion of chips. Now I know prices have increased on sacks of potatoes. But how can you justify £4.29 -£5.99 for a portion of chips. Absolute scandalous prices

Each time I go there, the food is fresh and hot. The other day I had an issue with one of the items on the order, and contacted the store and spoke to the Assistant Manager Luke, who addressed the matter in hand. He handled the matter professionally, and was very courteous. Even though it’s not my local, the place is always clean and staff are friendly. I would recommend anyone to go there.

Food used to be really nice but after last night's meal I will not be giving you my hard earned money again. Had my meal and within a couple of hours I was not feeling right. Xhicken and mushroom pie and battered chips shame it didn't stay down. Never felt soo ill. Had to take the next day off work as was so ill being sick all night. Shame really as you're food is usually quite nice but after last night never again. Cant really give stars on atmosphere as it was a delivery. Driver was pleasant and polite though as always.

Travelled from heath hayes to try them, they were doing a kids summer special from £2.50! I had a chip butty which was huge and tasted amazing! Literally best battered chips ever!! Highly recommend. Staff were super friendly with my two young daughters too!

Me and my work m8 have come from London to do some work down here I am from the North West and he is from London the price of the food was incredible and the thefood was amazing do recommend the batter chips with gravy thanks lads and very fast delivery

Ordered a Kebab from here, worst decision I've ever made. The next day, I was bed ridden, migraines, dizziness, sickness, stomach cramps.. obviously food poisoning as I am alright the day after and it was the only thing I had ate. I have tried kebabs from all over and I have never once experienced this, extremely disappointed as this was my first time ordering from what is meant to be a chip shop with high standards. Portions were also very small for the price, was not worth the money or the food poisoning. Order from elsewhere!

Atmosphere wasn't great young lad on the till he couldn't remember 1 thing so the gaffa owner whatever had a go at him right in front of me. Not good in my opinion like he's not done anything wrong in his life. All he had to do was show him again job done no need for how he treated his employee. Won't be going in there again respect works both ways

Shocking. Used beks many times before. I just spent £35 and would have honestly got better food from a market stall van. 1 chicken burger. No cheese, no salad, no sauce. 1 fish. 1 kids meal. £35!!! I knew the prices before I ordered but due to the price, have benefit of the doubt and expected great quality and portion sizes. Absolutely pathetic for the price. Will not return after that. Enjoy the profits! Keep robbing families like that you will soon lose your customers. Go to Carols chippy guys!!!! Never a let down.

Came here for the first time and I can honestly say i would never go Back! The order was wrong, how can you have the receipt in front of you and still get it wrong!? paid for items I didn't receive, service was slow, battered chips were still frozen drinks were warm and didnt even get the drinks i paid for! Would have felt better giving my £36 to a crack heads at the traffic lights, the flies in the salad had a better meal than me! Order id TA6875

Late delivery of food, uncooked chicken burger. Manager advised he would get Uber to send refund for late delivery, however this did not occur. Absolutely disgusted that the chicken burger was uncooked, still pinky and very rubbery.

This is a fine example of how a take away should be run. We have visited this chippy on a weekly basis since opening and have never been disappointed. The food is freshly prepared, served quickly and with a smile The only thing not to like is the increase in our waist size!

This used to be our go to chip shop. Unfortunately, their standards have slipped, portions are smaller and prices are higher and competitors in the area are providing a better service.

Went from the best in the UK to not even the best in Darlo. Service has dropped...forgetting items in orders. All while charging twice as much as other chip shops in the area for half the amount of food. Fish batter is rock hard. Lack of choices in sizes on many items. I don't know where they source their sausages from, but they are by far the worst quality sausages of any chippy in the area. The amount of kebab meat in kebab meat and chips is offensive when compared to other chip shops in the area. Then when they get a bad review, they call the honest review bad because it calls out their faults. Done with this place. Not what it once was. I'm sure there will be a snotty reply to this. But I don't care. It's the truth. Shame, because I used to love this place. But the quality of the food, especially the terrible sausages, and the portion size of kebab meat in kebab meat and chips really took this place out of the running for great chip shops in the area. Especially for the prices.

£26 for two regular fish and chipa. The most expensive chip shop I've ever been to. Food wasn't horrible just isn't worth the money at all.

I recently ordered takeaway from here and the packing was just top-level and secure packaging but the only issue I have is that it was too much salt except that everything was perfect.

Delicious food every time. It was ours third Protein box and chips and I can say the best donner in the area. Staff very friendly and great packaging without any plastic. Keep up guys.

Haven’t had a bad meal from this place, it’s now our go to chippy. Portions are generous I find and I’m always stuffed. We tend to go for the kebabs, either a wrap, kebab burger, or kebab meat and chips. We like the plain chips. Everything is always fresh and tasty, plenty of sauce too. I think the food is well worth the price. Can tell everything is fresh and their eye for detail is great - everything is labelled and just lovely. High standards here and it doesn’t go unnoticed.

Not happy ☹️ Always ordered from here but no more... Ordered on line and was sent a text to say it would be delivered 16.40 ... 17:15 i phoned as still not arrived and was told delivery drivers dont come in till 17.00 hours and ours would be the next food out. DISGUSTING why say 16:40 when theres no drivers. Its now 17:35 nearly an hour late and still no delivery. WILL NOT BE ORDERING FROM HERE AGAIN😡😡

£8 for the dryest kebab I've ever had, and my drink was flat when it got here. However the chips were very nice and the portions are massive, so it balances out someone. Still would expect a fresher kebab for that much.

Over rated and over hyped,the battered chips are not even orange and no better than other shops,that's all I tried so that's all I can comment, considering I payed nearly a fiver for a box of oily chips I'm glad that's all I spent.

I've been using this chippy periodically for over 40 years and I've never had a bad meal. The staff are so friendly and it's a pleasure to go in there, their chips are beautiful and their batter is perfect 👌🏻 I have no problem advising anyone else to go there.

poor quality, greasy undercooked chips, kebab wrap looked like it was in a wrap that had been sliced in 2! it was that thin! salad was non existent apart from top of tomato and 2 bits of cucumber that were specifically refused! Sorry but have eaten here before and always been good, but let's be fair £9 for a wrap and small chips...... ☹️

Great place with a variety of option on how you would like your meal to be prepared. Went for a mix donner and battered chips, the best halal battered chip shop in the Walsall Darlo area.

Banging hot battered chips. Soft and fat chips. Perfect cod fish with crispy batter. Lovely customer service from the gent serving and ladies all have smiles. Very welcoming. Price worth the fish n chips. Clean shop and can park outside shop. Keep up the good work peeps.

The extra star is for the service. I left the house with £1.20 for a bag of chips, then ended up taking a extra £2 just incase.... For what I would call a middle bag at best was £4!!! Lol Everyone told me they are the most expensive chips shop around. If you want better and cheaper chips, go around the corner
