Bejoy restaurant in Haringey

We had visitors returning to London missing Indian food . Bejoys had great food,good service and reasonably was priced. Would definitely return.

Edit This is a HyGIENE ALERT! I would have like to be aware before being consuming takeaways from this restaurant for the past 8, 9 months. Honestly have to say mostly enjoyed the food from here but last time When arriving at the restaurant to collect my order to my deep disgust was one of the cook washing his feet into the dishes sink in the kitchen relaxed and with a smile in his face. I waited to be served after secs somebody came and not believing I asked “ is that gentleman washing his feet in the sink?” With no embarrassment or shame he smiled at me and did confirmed. I mean, have no words for such action….This absolutely disgusting and disrespectful. Each time this memory comes up a strong feeling to vomit comes with it. No, it’s not a place to recommend but to be reported to food and hygiene compliance authorities.

We are regulars here for a reason. The food is fantastic and consistently so. Amazing spicy madras and lovely coconut creamy Korma are our family favourites. For veggies the dry mixed vegetable is very tasty as is the paneer shashlik. The service is always friendly with a warm welcome.

We decided to revisit our local Indians & so glad we did. The food was absolutely fantastic & the service was 10 out of 10 We will definitely be back the best Indian food We have had in a long time

Ordered a takeaway from here a couple of times - is extremely tasty - with very good sized portions, balanced flavours and tender meat Would recommend to anyone in the Bounds Green/Muswell Hill area

Visited Bejoy again today after my daughter's local contortion training session. The food was really good, as normal, and the guys running the restaurant are so nice. Definitely recommended if you are looking for Indian food. The Southern Garlic Chilli Chicken special is a particular favourite, although l had their Chicken Tikka Balti tonight which tasted lovely.

Hmmm? Okay, it used to be an average-ish British Indian Restaurant, decor, dishes etc. It being, once, an average BIR I haven’t visited in years, despite being local. But it has changed… for the worst… far, far worse. The decor? It’s a cross between the best hospital waiting room one could imagine and the worst lit cafe in the world. Food? Mediocre. No spice, or flavour. Luke warm. No care what so ever… rice dry as it could ever be... as a ‘base’ example.. four popadoms ordered as a starter, well you do dontcha … top three no problem. The fourth… IMHO left over from a previous serving. Why? It’s only a popadom! Are things that tough? I won’t be returning, nor ordering a take away.

Best Indian Food in London 2mins walk away from Bounds Green Station would recommend to family or friends you will be highly satisfied with the high standards of service, food and warm and friendly atmosphere 10/10.

My local curry place and it always delivers! My fave are jalfrezi and sag aloo that I find better than in other Indian places. Fair prices and friendly service.

If you want a night out with fine dinning & excellent food Bejoy is the place to be, very warm welcoming staff and very modern indian restaurant. Their Mixed Grill & South Indian Garlic Chicken is a MUST have will be coming back again & again thank you would recommend to anyone.😊

Food could be a little warmer but it tasted delicious so I didn't mind!

Food was nice but I was disappointed the South Indian garlic chicken didn't have more sauce and it was not spicy but overall a nice meal. Only other issue was the food was cold. Next time I would go to the restaurant to collect.

The food was high quality as usual. I definitely recommend this restaurant.

Food was half hour late and when it did arrive there were some dishes missing. After calling the restaurant to be told they would be re-delivered in 20 mins we waited another hour. When the food finally arrived it was delicious. Shame they got it so wrong originally.

I love Bejoy! It's a lovely restaurant to dine in and the food is amazing. The staff are the friendliest people and always take the time to make you feel relaxed whether you dine in or takeaway.

Said pick up 8.00pm and didn't get food till 8.20. Didn't get my pilau rice so a bit peeved. Starters were all quite greasy

I found Bejoy to be of poor quality on this visit. The dips bought out with the poppadoms tasted strange. The normally minty mild dip had a strange taste / burn to it and the mango chutney had brown lumps if something that certainly wasn't mango. The main course was very dry meat and a bland sauce. I do not refer to the spice level more the lack of flavour and texture. Sorry Bejoy but I won't be back.

We've been going here for our curry fix for over 12 years now and is still my favourite curry house. OK it's never really busy as a restaurant, you'll always get a table or a booth no matter how late but that's because their delivery service probably is their main business over their sit down diners but the food is always good. The service is functional. They don't have any draught beers but have cold bottles of the usual Kingfisher/Cobra. Good food in unpretentious surroundings and you'll always get a table without booking. What more do you need. 😊

This is my local curry house. Good food and delightfully friendly staff. Stop of at Bounds Green station, walk down the slope and enjoy a relaxed, delightful meal.

Rubbish i waited over a hour over the delivery time when the food came the portions where unbelievably small i rang to complain and was spoken to very rudly and told to bring the food back myself after waiting ages and paying them 15pounds I wont be going back

Best Indian takeaway in n22. Have ordered a few times and they have always delivered flavoursome tasty dishes. Delivery has always been within or on the hour and with a smile, can't complain.

Where do I start. This will be the last time I order from this place. Ordered £25.00 worth of food and have, managed to only eat 5% rest went in the bin. It came 70 mins after I ordered. When it did finally arrive the madras was so saturated in oil that it went all over the other stuff, all the boxes were covered in the madras oil. Everything was cold. I would understand waiting 70 mins over the weekend but today is midweek Tuesday. I purposely chose them as they where close to me. I am highly disappointed and would not recommend purchasing food from these people. AVOID !!!!!!!!

The best Indian takeaway in North London! I have also eaten in the restaurant and the staff are lovely. 100% recommend!

most of the food was really good but they made a mistake with the order and delivered a Bhindi karahi instead of a Brinjal Karahi. whats worse is that the okra was overcooked and slimey

Indian restaurant at Bounds Green Road close to the tube station. Good food, attentive waiters, an extensive menu. Take away available for hungry travellers or this returning from work.

Decided to visit after seeding the reviews and we were not disappointed. Great tasting food and Good service, what more can you ask for? Will be back.

We love a curry at Bejoy. Their portion sizes are good and great value for money. The staff are warm and friendly. We have often spent an evening at bejoy with friends and family. Would highly recommend!

Este restaurante indio no parece mucho desde el exterior. Al entrar, el lugar necesita un poco de reforma pero esto es todo un poco irrelevante cuando llega la comida. Esta fue la mejor comida india que he comido en mucho tiempo. Los platos son deliciosamente sabroso, realmente fresco y muy auténtico. Los precios son muy razonables y el personal es muy agradable y amable. Yo estoy contento es mi local como regresaré pronto y recomendar a los amigos. Es un descubrimiento!

El excelente menú en este restaurante en límites verde que honestamente, había pasado muchas veces y no se considera. Fresco, sabroso y una buena relación calidad-precio. Servicio cordial y una selección de platos realmente interesante.

I was gobsmacked to discover last June that this superb curry house wasn't listed in TA,so I quickly rectified TA by giving them details of this restaurant.I've being coming in here since it first opened in 1995.It has being consistently good that entire time.I'm sure it has changed hands at least once since it opened but its' high standards remain.Every dish I have ever had has being superb,from the Vindaloo to the Balti to the Garlic Olive Chicken.The staff are all dead nice and it is not expensive for North London.In fact I don't know about now,but in the late 1990s Bangladeshi government ministers staying at the Bangladesh embassy in South Kensington used to come over to Bejoy for a meal ! Not sure if they still do this but the quality of the food here is the same now as it was then.Furthermore if you're in the Ranlagh pub next door and feeling hungry don't eat in there go in to Bejoy.Far better value and the food doesn't come from Brake brothers ('the frozen food specialists').

After 1hr15min rang to find out where food was. Told it was on its way. The place is 5 min walk away. 20mins later still no food. Called again and was told food had been delivered to someone else but they were remaking our order and it be with us in 10mins. Guess what, 20 mins later still no food. Rang and complained again and was told food was on its way. Hooray 10mins later it arrives. Unfortunately the food was cold and the lamb dish had chicken. Popodoms were oily. Bad bad bad. Rang and complained to the manager who offered me a full refund. Surprise surprise that hasn't arrived either!

Food is always amazing, great service, great price cant go wrong. Best indian food for miles!

We orderes chicken tikka masala and got something else with coconut. It didn't taste bad but it was not what we ordered. The mixed fruit lassi was lovely.

Myself and my girlfriend have been here on several occasions, both for take-away and for a restaurant meal.The staff are always very friendly and the food is good. They offer an 'all you can eat' Sunday buffet which sadly does have a limited choice, but is good value for money.I thoroughly recommend this restaurant for anyone in the area in search of Indian cuisine.

Waited almost 2 hours for delivery. Found out restaurant did not print out order when they received it as they "ran out of paper". Great food but will have to consider to order there again.

Bejoy is a traditional Indian takeaway with great quality and fantastic flavours. I always find the staff to be so extremely friendly when they deliver or you pop in and the delivery time is fantastic. All in all, I would highly recommend Bejoy as a very yummy Indian!
