Me and husband on our 8th Wedding Anniversary called in here for some drinks while staying in the area. It's a great little gem of micropub great selection of ales,ciders,gins,beers and rum.Which we sampled and intend to order a bottle or two from where it's made.😋👌🏼 Locals and Host was lovely and chatted with us about our stay and where to go when in the center which we did so thanks for the recommendations 😊(even stayed an extra night) Overall great place and if ever back in the area we will be calling in.

Lovely cosy friendly micro pub , good selection of craft beers including my faborite hoppy bitters. Host Leanne is lovely, friendly and knowledgeable about the different beers and gins ,also lovely ciders too no media TV juke box so conducive to conversation which I love. Really enjiy it in there.

Never a fan of real ales until I found this wonderful little pub. The owner is so knowledgeable and friendly that I have been converted. The choice of beers and ciders is fantastic and changes every week. It's an oasis that always offers a friendly welcome for first timers and regulars alike. Also won a pub of the year award so can only recommend you pay a visit.

Absolutely love the place! So much to choose from and ever changing. The staff are really knowledgable and all of the goods are sourced locally which makes it even more special.

Absolutely love this little gem. The lady who runs it can't go out of her way enough to make sure that you feel welcomed and that nothing it too much trouble. Always a warm welcome and fantastic beers. Is most definitely open, everyone deserves a holiday now and then. Dog friendly, well behaved kids welcome too. Leanne is the most lovely accommodating host. A must visit if you like real ale and a great balanced bar.

I recently had my 50th Birthday gathering at this Micropub and what a night it was ! There was so many ales and gins to chose from and the Landlady Leanne was the most perfect host, nothing was too much trouble for her and we all had the most wonderful evening, love the fact it is dog friendly too, can’t wait to return next month. Thanks again for making us all feel so welcome.

I have called into the beer Engin a few times after ordering a takeaway a couple of doors away, (Why wait in the takeaway or car?) and have a swift couple of pints in here. Excellent range of beers and spirits which change on a regular basis, safe and welcoming atmosphere and a friendly barmaid/ manager thank you for your hospitality.

Superb little boozer. Travelled up from Stockport as became friends with the owner over twitter past few months. Great prices, great comfort, great place to unwind.

Under new ownership and a great micro-pub. They are very covid safe conscious and have a booking in system. We were not aware of this but they accommodated us after a short wait. Beers are in great condition and a good range of cask and keg

Brilliant! Nice real ale, well chosen, always changing and well kept. This week's current count they have 53 gins. Kegged craft ales for those who like that thing. For the width of a shop the layout and seats are homely and welcoming, but what really makes this place is how friendly it is. The people who run it are lovely. Everyone knows each other, while in other places that can feel cliquey, here they start talking to you as soon as you come in. It's an absolute communal gem and well worth a visit.

Small, but perfectly formed - a great range of beers, ciders and gins, and a cosy friendly atmosphere. Give it a go !

Brilliant addition to the community. Very welcoming atmosphere and a fun and friendly place to socialise. Dog friendly and my pooch loves going and socialising too. Great selection of Gin, real ales and cider. Although it is a micro pub, there is always more than enough room and doesn't feel small at all.

Cosy, great atmosphere and a wide selection of traditional ales. What more could you ask for! Pet friendly too.

If you like to sit in a vet and enjoy a gin this is the place to go. If you don't then don't bother. The gins are lovely but the bar smells of wet dog. I won't be going back
