Becks is a little gem tucked away in Burscough Street, library end. Today Dad had their homemade Minestrone soup ,oh boy did he enjoy it. My friend and I had wraps (Chicken &Bacon Mayo and a Sausage,Bacon ketchup)and we thoroughly enjoyed them. Ofcourse we had our customary lattes which we love. The place is spotless, food cooked to order and they go the extra mile in doing a lot of homemade food. Cakes and biscuits etc. Well worth the money. Fill your boots.

Stopped in for lunch today and the food was delicious (especially the chocolate brownie). The staff were friendly and thoughtful going the extra mile to make a little lunch for our baby.

We aways get our chinese from Tucker on Ferry. I am yet to find another chinese takeaway that offers such delicious and fresh chinese. My family has never been disappointed, and it is not uncommon for us to spend $200 there (we are a big family!) It's not just their chinese either. Their burgers are delicious and a really good price, as is their fish and chips. Chinese takeaway is usually an expensive treat for us, and we cannot afford to buy it and for it to not be nice. There is never a chance of this happening with food from Tucker on Ferry. I cannot recommend this place highly enough, and the owner is a lovely man as well.

I visited Moor Hall yesterday to deliver samples of our flour, and I was thoroughly impressed by the entire experience. From the moment I arrived, the team was incredibly welcoming, professional, and clearly passionate about their craft. The attention to detail across the entire property—from the immaculate grounds to the beautifully restored interiors—reflects the same dedication that goes into their food. It’s easy to see why Moor Hall has earned its reputation as one of the top dining destinations in the UK. As a supplier, it’s always a pleasure to work with people who truly value quality ingredients and understand the importance of provenance and sustainability. I’m excited to see how our flour might be used in their creations. Highly recommended for anyone seeking world-class food, hospitality, and a genuine connection to the land. —Martin Caunce, Brow Farm Ltd
