Now called Bamboleo and serving dishes with a Spanish slant. The restaurant is still raising money for the beatson. We tried the Sunday roast, delicious, I'll so be trying to make manchego mac and cheese at home. Excellent service, tasty food and a relaxed Sunday.

Went a few weeks ago was the worst I’ve ever had. Beef was tough as boots. I informed them online via website to tell them before leaving review but was ignored. Very expensive for very poor food.

Lunch with friends (incl. 1 vege), so had the opportunity to try several dishes from the menu; smoked mackerel toast, goats cheese, black pudding bon bons, mac and cheese, flat iron steak, fish goujons, hispi cabbage, date cake+sundae (+wine, obvs) - all very good and thoroughly enjoyable. Service was just right too. We all left thinking 'we'd like to come back'.

I recently visited Beat 6 for a Sunday roast, and unfortunately, it was the worst I’ve ever had. I ordered medium-rare beef, but what I received was overcooked to medium-well and so tough that it was nearly impossible to chew. The Yorkshire pudding was also disappointing, as it was far too batter-heavy and lacked the quality one would expect from a restaurant. It wasn’t just us who experienced this—other customers near us also left most of their beef untouched and complained about how tough it was. While the staff were very polite and friendly, I understand that this issue might be beyond their control. They even invited us to leave feedback after payment, which I hope they take seriously. However, I haven’t received any response from them yet. Overall, I was extremely disappointed with the quality of the food and hope they make improvements soon.

Steak and chips nice. Service was pleasant if a bit slow, with only 4 other diners in at the same time. Prices are not reasonable. Website says "100% of profits" going to charity. Nice idea, but doesn't appear they're making a personal contribution going by the menu prices. In addition, they add another charitable donation to the bill (as a purchase line), and then a service charge on top of that. A service charge on a charitable donation? I've never seen the like. I think what's going on here is morally questionable, if not legally suspect. We're a family that have been impacted by NHL and have been supporting the Beatson for over 3 decades, and we have friends working with the centre. Any criticism levied is about the operational charitable claim of the owner, not the cause itself. The website claims over £1m donated so far, but there's no breakdown of how this funded, collected, or managed. More transparency is needed, including how the restaurant adds value (if any) to the diners contributions.

Just had another wonderful meal in Beat 6. This was my 3rd visit in the last few months. I love coming here as the food is always delicious and the staff are just so friendly, helpful and polite. Its become one of my favourite restaurants to go to. Love the donations to the Beatson too. Would absolutely recommend it to anyone.

Absolutely wonderful experience. The food was out of this world. We had sourdough, pie of the day (pork and onion), and the date and ale cake. My husband had the Thermidor Seafood Pie. It was all prepared to a very high standard and made with quality produce. This was particularly obvious in the seafood pie. Our waitor was attentive, polite and friendly. Highly recommend and looking forward to returning soon.

Unfortunately our experience at Beat6 on this occasion was really disappointing. We booked a table for 6 people to enjoy The Sunday Roast 3 Course menu at £32 per head. The staff are very welcoming and work well however they were so let down by the quality of the food. Firstly, our starters were so poor, very badly presented and tasted like a piece of dated, toasted bread with a plain topping on a plate with no garnish. Given the restaurant supports such a good cause we decided to await our main meals, hoping they would be better. Well they were without doubt the worst plated roast dinner we have tasted in many years from a supposedly quality restaurant. Our beef (both rare and well done) was impossible to cut and when we did manage to cut a piece, it was impossible to chew. The Yorkshire puddings were brick hard! We did complain and to be fair, the staff organised fresh mains apart from one of our guests who was so put off by his initial dish he said he couldn’t take another plate. When our second attempt at the main arrived it was just as bad, meat impossible to cut and eat, hard yorkies. We apologies to our guests we had invited to this restaurant and complained again. We declined any dessert and paid for our drinks, we also left the waiting staff a tip and paid the donation to the charity. We will now never return to Beat 6 and can only suggest a new chef and please take a look at how good Roastit Bubbly Jocks do it. Their Sunday Roast is simple superb. Such a shame we want to support this local restaurant but never again.

Given the dearth of good restaurants in the Milngavie/Bearsden area we were very happy that this restaurant had opened and love the concept of the profits going to the Beatson. We went a few times when the restuarant was doing the taster menu and the food was excellent. We booked recently but were dispppointed to see that the taster menu has been swapped for 'pub style' menu. We decided to go anyway as the food had been so good. We were all happy with the starters, the goats cheese croquettes were particularly good. However, the mains were a bit of a disappointment apart from the hispi cabbage side, The fish goujons - although very nice - were quite a small portion and we had to pay extra for chips to go with them. We felt the dish should come with chips (given the low cost) and we would be happy to pay extra for the other veg. There also wasnt many veg option to add on only hispi and lettuce. Would be good to have other veg on the side menu - since the dishes don't come with any. The pie which my partner had was overdone and the pastry a bit burnt. The pudding was also disappointing the date and ale cake was burnt on both portions. So all in all not quite up to the standard of previous visits.Service was good and attentive.

Atmosphere was wonderful, staff absolutely lovely. We had problems finding the venue as the outside lighting wasn’t turned on when we arrived. It’s apparent that the food is locally sourced, everything was so fresh. All my courses were delightful but my husband’s beef was extremely tough. I did wonder if part of the concept is to keep the costs down by using cheaper ingredients. Although beautifully done, potato confit was a questionable item. Both deserts were with on the intense side with caramel ice cream, but both were excellent. A fruit option would have been nice. I didn’t leave feeling over full, which suited me brilliantly. Those with larger appetites might feel underfed, as small portions. The venue ticks all the boxes for guests. Affordable, locally sourced, near public transport, delicious and in aid of The Beatson Cancer charity.

The concept behind Beat 6 is great and the be applauded. However, the experience was fairly disappointing. I was excited to get stuck into a great Sunday roast, but honestly, I felt like I should have homed cooked one. While it tasted OK, the potatoes and veg were hard and dry, possibly having been prepared earlier and reheated. The meat was OK, but not a great cut, with quite a bit of gristle. Best dish was the sticky date pudding. Overall, the portions were small, as is the location. The tables are really close together, so you are very cosy with the diners either side of you. With the meal fully served, the plates didn't quite fit on the table. A great concept, and the team worked hard, but there are better Sunday roast options out there.

Great dining for a good cause, who doesn’t support that? The restaurant works with a fixed menu of 4 courses. There are optional courses as well. In each course you can choose between fish, meat or veggie. To each their taste. Everything is locally produced, which we loved and very much support. Nice open kitchen and staff is very helpful. The restaurant is quite remote from Glasgow city, but you can get there by bus. One small thing, it would be nice if the staff would give a little more information on the cause and their mission.

Lovely staff, who seemed well trained. Lovely atmosphere. Lovely food too, but there wasn't nearly enough of it, despite having both the optional courses. ... Aware that it's for charity, but all 3 of us would have paid more for more food. Also took too long (2.5 hours) . Course 1 should have been an amuse bouche, it was microscopic. Won't return, but do wish it well. Got chips on the way home!

Great experience for a fantastic cause. The staff were super friendly, explaining each course and always happy to help if needed. A few of the courses weren't to our taste (chicken parfait for me and the gazpacho for my partner) and we were instantly offered an alternative. The rest of the menu was delicious, hazelnut parpadelle being the highlight. Pistachio parfait is my new favourite thing! And the trio of pork was delicious. Nothing to do with the restaurant itself but the website is needing improved as we didn't have a clue what the vegetarian options were until getting there despite messaging the social media team. I also don't agree with a 12.5% surcharge added to bills, even if it can be removed if requested. However a lovely night and great to try some new flavours that I wouldn't usually see together.

Found this lovely cafe on Google as needed somewhere that served early breakfast rolls as had early hospital appointment nearby. Sit in area does not open until 9am but this was not a problem as we took our bacon rolls and drinks and ate in car. Nearest carpark is at Morrisons supermarket which is 3 mins walk. The 2 ladies serving were very nice and served us quickly. 2 bacon rolls, 1 with an added potato scone, 1 tea, 1 coffee cost just over £10. Cash only. We will definitely be returning for lunch!
