Ambiente encantador, buena comida y personal muy amable que hizo que no solo nosotros, sino nuestros tres perros se sientan bienvenidos. Los perros estaban especialmente satisfechos con sus golosinas de salchichas.

Muy buena comida, personal amable y un lugar estupendo para comer algo. La selección del menú es muy buena, casi siempre tienen todo el menú. Hoy me perdí unos panqueques pero la segunda opción fue igual de buena.

Se veía bien desde fuera, desafortunadamente, su aspecto elegante no puede cubrir la comida verdaderamente pobre - desayuno inglés completo frío, ¿cómo es que incluso es posible - las salchichas eran horribles cuando digo totalmente frío, quiero decir totalmente frío en el medio - el resto era simplemente horrible, insípido, nunca volverá

Nos recomendaron Bear para el brunch cuando en Nottingham recientemente y estamos muy contentos de haber ido. Qué joyita encantadora con una selección fantástica, comida deliciosa y personal tan amable y servicial. Sin duda lo recomiendo y volveremos cuando estemos en Nottingham!

El menú parecía muy atractivo, pero la comida es muy pobre. Suave, barato y una gran decepción. También una atmósfera estéril. No te molestes.

Apareció aquí por capricho para el desayuno, no ocupado a las 9 de la mañana de un miércoles. Tuve un buen desayuno de Angry Mac y café, ambos muy agradables

I went for a Sunday brunch and it was perfect. The interiors are so cute and there’s plenty of tables/seats. The girl who served us was so friendly and with my nut allergy went to check with the chefs for me. I had the French toast with crumbled blueberry compote, custard and ice cream. It was delicious! It was so filling but wasn’t too sweet so I was able to finish it all. So yummy would definitely return!

Extremely disappointing! We waited an hour for food to be served. The veggie breakfast was so expensive for what it was. The bread was not fresh, they served it with a tiny thin slice of halloumi, one poached egg that wasn’t even runny and hash browns. Avoid going there!

Visited for brunch today, the menu looks exciting and a bit different from a lot of breakfast and brunch spots in Nottingham so we were excited to try. However, service was insanely slow. After taking our order we overheard one of the waitresses informing another table the food would take an hour. The restaurant wasn’t particularly busy and lots of customers walking in for a table were leaving after hearing how long the wait was, I wish we had done the same! The food arrived an hour later, my full English was nice but nothing special, the poached egg was over cooked and cold and it was missing the shakshuka pot. My parter ordered the veggie breakfast which was very underwhelming. Overall the food felt over priced. A shame because the venue and staff are lovely.

Morning pit stop - we had a coffee, iced tea, cinnamon bun and toast and jam - bread was lovely and fresh (huge slices) and tiptree jam provided. Just what we needed - very busy and well decorated. Just what we needed to start our day - friendly waiter and waitress attended to us

Would you like a cold flatbread with raw toppings, and what seems like a defrosted chicken breast in a cob? Then this is the place for you! The food was completely overpriced for what you get. We are normally happy to spend a little extra if the food is of high quality but visiting here for lunch left us with a bad taste, both metaphorically and literally. Much better options available in Nottingham. BEAR should update their pricing or remove these dishes from the menu, they are charging premium prices for kebab shop quality.

Food was delivered after a 30 minute wait. First drinks still not delivered, very odd. Second order, bottle of wine to beat the wait arrived after we had finished food. My partners chicken burger was very overcooked. Restaurant seemed to have no visible leadership with lots of empty tables un cleared. Will not return.

Hadn’t seen the reviews before we ate here. Wish we had. The food was overpriced for what it was and pretty terrible. Could have gone to a Wetherspoons and had better quality food. Had the Lebanese flatbread with halloumi which had clearly been cooked from frozen and was rubbish, and the chicken burger which was tiny and pretty pathetic. Please don’t waste your money here when there’s so many better places in hockley!!!

Stopped on as we saw they had 241 cocktails. Margaritas were excellent and it's a nice setting. Will be back to try brunch.

Got seated on a Saturday, which I understand is a busy period, so totally aware and understanding of that. Took quite a while for our order to be taken - probably near the 20 minute mark. Once our order was taken we heard a bit of a commotion in the kitchen area with basically the head chef telling the waiting staff to stop taking orders. Overhearing as well that some tables had been waiting a very long time for their food. Time passed and you could clearly see frustration building with chef and waiting staff. Little spats were occurring where the waiting staff clearly hadn’t taken note of chefs request to stop taking orders, and they clearly hadn’t informed tables about how long the wait on food was going to be. The number of tickets on the chefs pass was A LOT for quite a small restaurant, and it seemed to be increasing too. With chef reminding waiting staff again to stop taking orders. As a side note to this - before head chef arrived, it didn’t seem that the rest of the kitchen staff were doing a lot (perhaps this is how this build up happened in the first place). The kitchen didn’t seem to swing into action or even have any life in it until head chef appeared. Clearly tension was rising as we were overhearing conversations between staff. 1 hour then into our wait (after orders had been taken) we were told that there was a problem with our order - the food was no longer available and if we wanted to re-order we would have to wait again for the new order to go through and be cooked etc. At this point it was bye bye for us as we had somewhere else to be and had already wasted enough time here. Side note - there’s a lovely bagel place across the road called The Bagel Project, try there.

From start to finish a terrible experience! The look of the place is great, fresh clean and staff although pleasant are not attentive enough. We were a party of three two adults and a child we weren’t offered a child’s menu so assumed they were no children’s options. We ordered two chicken burgers and the American bacon pancakes and a side of halloumi. The pancakes were described as fluffy and on line looked appetising what was presented looked like a plate of scotch pancakes from a supermarket with some shrivelled bacon. The chicken burgers were ok if a little dry. The halloumi side at £4:50 was a joke two thin shavings of halloumi. On top of the poor food we waited over an hour to receive our food not ideal with a child. At no point did staff come over ask if we were ok or apologise for the wait. This only happened when we pointed out we had been waiting and only then was a discount offered. I absolutely will not recommend Bear it’s possibly the worst place and what should have been a treat for a Saturday took too long and felt very much like a huge rip off ! We will not be back Where is the quality control !

Party of 6 for food and drinks. Some items on the menu not available - fair enough. Service was slow - not great. Food was overall poor and for some of our party terrible. Restaurant did make an adjustment to our bill but that didn't compensate for what was overall a really poor experience.

Lovely decor and vibe, nice staff with great drinks, however the food was super disappointing, we got the chicken tacos and they were really dry, mac and cheese was practically plain pasta and just overall very average food

Interior and vibe 9/10 - super cute :) Food 2/10 - ordered chicken tacos and honestly tasted and felt as if we were eating cardboard 😬 Ordered a side dish and were told we couldn’t have it because “the chef said it takes too long to make” (we were one of the only tables in the restaurant so they weren’t even busy) Chips were delicious and fresh but Mac and cheese was clearly old and had been microwaved which was a shame as had no taste whatsoever :( Drinks 10/10 had two cocktails that were lush! Server was really sweet but had no idea what he was doing, maybe he was new 🤷🏼‍♀️ Plates were never taken away and had to keep chasing the bill. Real shame as were super excited to go but probably wouldn’t return :(

Was really disappointed with the overall experience sadly. Went for dinner and had never been before with a friend. Seated ourselves and had to ask for a food menu, after waiting 15 minutes i thought it might not be table service as no one had been over. So I had to go up and ask again for someone to take our food order. Food and wine was average. We then ordered a Margarita that came in a massive almost looking pint glass with about 3 sips worth, i was honestly so confused. Then we asked to pay and she told us to go to the till and pay there. The whole experience was really poor and I wont be returning sadly.

Superb service from the moment we entered, trendy but at the same time homely. Good choices for eats and well cooked and presented. Would recommend to anyone looking for a friendly good value experience

Service extremely inattentive. We had two toddlers with us and they only offered children’s menus after we had been sitting for 20mins waiting for food order to be taken. The children’s menu then took 10mins to arrive and another 10/15 mins to come back to take that food order (and only after we had asked someone to come take it). First round of drinks (only one offered) in an hour and a half of being in the cafe was fine - but they decided one toddler didn’t need a drink at the point of ordering. Food wait was an hour and a half and food came out cold. Terrible.

Fabulous spot for breakfast, lunch, right through to evening! Excellent food, charming staff and premier league footballer spooting too boot! Would love to return in the evening, with a tweak to the lighting and maybe live acoustic music, this could be a hot spot for Nottingham!

Came in on Friday night and was pretty quiet. Our main server was nice but the food was not good. Ordered a Mac and cheese that wasn’t even mixed in properly so half of it was dry, and in a tiny pot was very disappointing. Cauli nuggets were fine. Ordered the frickles but had to question if they were pickles as it just seemed like very thin onions and basically all greasy batter. Said I didn’t like them and didn’t eat them but still had to pay for them. My friend got a pizza which he said alright. All the food was put at the end of our table so we had to lean over to pick it up ourselves and put in front of us. Which was odd. Also no bill given so no way to check if we paid the right amount when the server tells us how much to pay? Won’t return.

Had been looking forward to trying this out, but it was very slow to be sat down (even though it turned out a staff member had been stood next to us talking to someone with a takeout order) and drinks arrived spilt. Dessert took over 25 mins to arrive. No food menu on the table etc. We hadn’t booked, we’re seated easily, it wasn’t busy. The server was great, friendly and apologetic. Hopefully they can sort out the experience as I did have high hopes for it.

Very mixed feelings on this one. The good: Warm restaurant, lovely atmosphere, friendly staff and delicious food The bad: Took 40 minutes to take our food order, hard to get more drinks and the food portions for the sweet potato latkes were significantly smaller than advertised on their socials online - maybe they were running out, but unfortunately I ended up leaving hungry because the sweet potato was absolutely tiny (it tasted exceptional though). We had a similar issue when having the pizza fondue previously - it was tasty, but there definitely wasn't enough accompaniments to eat all of the cheese/tomato, especially considering the price! Great potential because the food and staff are great, but there are definitely some teething issues with wait times and portion sizes.

Was so excited to try this place. But was quite disappointed. It was firstly absolutely freezing in the restaurant. Granted they were having deliveries but multiple tables complained about how cold it was and whether the doors could be closed. I actually had to put my coat back on. We were seated on a table that wasn’t wiped down - which I noticed they didn’t do with any tables? We were told that a waitress would be straight back over. They weren’t. It took about 15 minutes to be noticed to order. We then waited 50 minutes for our brunch. Whilst I appreciate it was busy, we had finished our drinks and no one had been back over for us to be able to order more, and no staff seemed to be concerned that we had waited for so long. I ended up having to chase the food. They were not apologetic. I overheard the table next to us also chasing up their food. So it seemed everyone was experiencing long delays. The food was nice but the whole experience was more frustrating than it was nice.

I’m sure it will improve but was a poor experience. Waited ten minutes for anyone to even acknowledge me after being seated. When my family arrived I still hadn’t been offered anything; by the time we got drinks we’d been there for 30 minutes. Then told it was a 40 minute wait for food but thought we’d stay as it’s a lovely atmosphere. But it was far too busy to have been able to book a table; manager really should have turned reservations off. When food arrived - after over an hour & 15 minutes, chasing twice - first dish wasn’t ours. We sent it back & caused confusion. It had been added to our order so were told we could have them complimentary. Two out of three main dishes came but the sourdough on my dish was covered in green fury mould. Waitress was very sorry - chef looked embarrassed but the waitress returned to say it’s what happens to torched sourdough. It was 100% fury green & white mould. Ten minutes before it was replaced and the third persons dish even arrived - by which point one had finished their food though two of the main parts of their dish were missing. Only the bread was new on my plate which just really grossed me out. Was grateful that we didn’t have to pay for it but I did have to request it was complimentary. Felt really sorry for the waitress who did her best but it was one mess after another and a lot of it completely avoided by just being realistic in how many people you can have in without overwhelming the kitchen and waiting staff. It’s been well renovated, nice menu and lovely atmosphere so we probably will give it another go but only when it’s worked out the kinks!

OK but food is small portions for the cost and the ambience and vibe OK but not overly exciting - nothing new or original. Lovely attentive and helpful staff. Decor again a bit bland
