No one ever answers the security buzzer for reception and considering it is a reception I gave up and left but I know people are busy but after five to ten minutes a gave up . Even a factory worker tried to phone them without success. If they do ? Have a receptionist I think she might have been on her holidays that day .

02/02/23 The chicken and haggis pies are an absolute delight Whoever decided to put this together deserves a medal Tried the black pudding and bean pie this morning £1.45 for the greasiest most tasteless pie ever created The 1 star is purely for the nice service the pie deserves a minus score

I would suggest this is less a "corporate office" and more a bakery (what with Bayne's being a bakers and this being where they produce their baked goods). Yes, there are administrative offices attached, but they are very much ancillary to the core purpose of these premises.

I've been to Jocks twice now and on both occasions the staff could not have been any kinder or more accommodating if they'd tried. They really went above and beyond in comparison to some other places. The quality of the food was also really good and they were very attentive and willing to make amendments and substitutions to meet my dietary requirements. When we came in and they asked where we'd like to sit and I explained I was experiencing problems with my back, we were given a great spot that was very good for helping my back. This is a new favourite place of ours.

I stayed here for 2 nights as part of a wedding party. Check-in was easy and the receptionist was friendly and helpful. Our evening meal and breakfasts were nice and the service was good, the waiting on staff didn't stop and all seemed to work really long hours. Wedding meal and service also very good. The room had good facilities and a massive bed. Nice little balcony and sea/golf course view. However, it needed to be cleaned better. There were cobwebs in all the corners (we checked in on Friday and they were still there on the Sunday), the seal on the shower screen was missing so the floor got soaked when showering, there was dirt around the bottom of the toilet and where the screws are. I rinsed the bath out with the shower (as I always do) and then ran a bath. When I went to get into it, there was a scum line all round the edge. I had to empty the water out, clean the bath and re run it. Many of the guests staying said their room wasn't very clean either. When asked upon check-out how our stay was, I politely commented about the lack of cleanliness and was completely shut down and dismissed and was told the hotel does get dusty and it's just one of those things. With some modernization and a good clean, this hotel could be really great!

This is the second time I have stayed at this hotel. The last time was nearly ten years ago, and I enjoyed my stay back then, which is why I decided to return. I have thoroughly enjoyed my two-night stay this time as well. The hotel’s reception staff was kind and very helpful, assisting me in upgrading to one of the executive rooms. The Old Tom Morris room is absolutely worth the cost, as it is the most spacious on-site, with a great sea view, very quiet (which is vital for a good night's sleep), and a super-large bathroom with a roll-top bath. I love the room's decoration and color scheme, which gives me a warm, relaxing feel. The location of the hotel is as convenient as ever, which is one of the reasons I chose to stay here in the first place. It's within a 10-minute walk to the heart of the town, and there are sufficient parking spaces in front of the hotel as well. I have fond memories of the hotel’s breakfast, and the quality has not dropped over the years. There are many hot dishes to choose from, and the fruits and yogurt are still my favorites. I would also like to give a special mention to the efficient service of the housekeeping staff. After I requested additional bath cubes and shower gel at reception, they were delivered to my room before I even returned upstairs! Overall, I highly recommend Hotel Du Vin St Andrews, and it will always be my first choice of accommodation when I visit St Andrews.
